Very cute town. Clean and cute room. Simple, but perfect. Easy access to north east Yellowstone. Allowed us early morning animal scouting. Saw a moose and a wolf!

Wonderful little community. The motel is old but very comfortable.

Old motel, clean but small...only a full bed. Not ice in ice machine.

Everything we needed for our two stay and in a great location. Outstanding service - our rental car broke down and the support given by Chad was exceptional! Thank you!

Nice location. Rooms could use some attention to cleanliness. Perhaps a little upgrade in order sometime soon.

Great place to stay in the center of Cooke City; clean and comfortable with enough blankets to keep us toasty all night long. Laundry facilities on premises and coffee all day long. Highly recommend this place.

An acceptable motel option in a very small town. Room was a little dated but clean and confortable. I booked a room way bigger than needed for a couple. It slept 8 with a full kitchen. We'd stay here again but book a smaller room.

Way overpriced! No towels or wash rags. Smoke detector fell off wall. Had flies in the room. Had funky smell. Very outdated. Would not stay here again!

Great historic location

Excellent overnight stay in a great motel which was very clean and spacious with the owner being extremely friendly and helpful, highly recommend this motel and Cooke City is a fantastic place to stay over, I only wish we could have stayed longer.

Good accommodations for such an old motel

Cozy motel in Cooke City MT, super small town but perfect location for our trip.

We got there after the reception shut down and no one was in the office when we left, so we did not interact with anyone aside from when we called on the phone to let them know we'd be there just after the reception hours. Room was a little hard to find since it was inside and upstairs, but it was comfortable and had what we needed, although very basic. Very close to the Northern entrance of Yellowstone.

Rather expensive for this type of motel. Although clean and beds comfortable, the place is old. And we had ants.

I asked if they had an ac he laughed said no one in this town has an ac i asked if they had a fan he said open the window asked if he knew where we could see some bears he said drive down the road and if i see people pulled over pull over the bed was etreamly hard smoking right out the front door of office i will not stay here or recommend it to anyone left a day early left before 8 am want to be refunded for the last night

I truly enjoyed my one night stay at the Alpine Motel. It's rustic and traditional for the area so if you're looking for that authentic Western mountain experience close to Yellowstone National Park this is your place. Be prepared, there are only a couple of dining options in the area. Try Log Cabin cafe in Silver Gate MT just down the road. Beautiful country and the Cooke City Montana residents are hospitable and friendly people.

Small shower, but clean and fairly spacious room. Walkable to a few restaurants. Close to Yellowstone entrance and Beartooth highway.

Cook City is a place with lots of memories. Would be nice if property maintenance would be done and screens on windows so can open at night for cool air.

Reasonably priced for the high season in Cooke City. Bed and bedding were comfortable. Has everything you need in a small room. Places to eat within walking distance.

Nice older property with helpful staff. Conveniently located in Cooke City

All great, if only we could control the temperature of the water in the shower it would be perfect. It would always be too hot or too cold.

Not the best housekeeping

This was our favorite hotel on our Yellowstone trip so far. It was quaint, and the scenery was just beautiful. The man at the desk was the nicest and made us feel very welcome. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. The city is also adorable.

This is the third time that we have stayed at the Alpine and hopefully it won’t be the last. The facility is somewhat dated but kept in good condition. Its location, both close to the northeast part of Yellowstone and the Beartooth Highway, can’t be beat. Finally, the staff goes out of its way to make your stay a pleasant one. If there are any issues, all you have to do is ask and they will be immediately addressed.

It was quiet and beds were comfortable. Limited or no WiFi. We felt we slept in the kitchen and there was space to move main bed to provide room for a kitchen table.

Needed to stay in this area one night as I was driving through Yellowstone over a couple of days. Great area to leave the park and have a quiet place to sleep and have a good meal. Staff was super friendly and town was just what I needed after a few nights camping on a long road trip!

Beautiful scenery and you could walk to anything in town.

Nice small hotel. The rooms have mountain views. The room was clean and neat. Stuff is very helpful

Great place to stay. Staff is friendly. It is an older place but well maintained. I enjoyed being able to sit in the outside chair and take in the scenery.

We were very happy with our stay here. The room was very large and clean. They do provide free wifi which is excellent since there is no cellular reception in Cooke City or the neighboring Silver Gate. The only suggestion I would make is maybe more wall decor, it was a little plain. But that is a minor detail.

Cooke City is a cute town. But the hotels in town leave a lot to be desired. We were sent a message after booking that there is NO AIR CONDITIONING. This was not mentioned in the original ad, evidently none of the hotels have AC so I wouldn't stay in this town in the hot months. We were assured that it is a "safe" town and we would be comfortable opening our windows to let the breeze in. Multiple problems with that. There's no screen on the windows to keep bugs and possibly people out. If you leave the curtains open to let said breeze in, theres a bright light right outside the window that you cant control. I'm a country girl, but who wants bugs crawling on you when you sleep? Cuz thats exactly what you'll get! (See pics!) Floor was uneven and my handicap mother stumbled going to the bathroom at night. Rooms need updated badly. But it was clean. No breakfast offered. I wouldnt stay here again.

Great rustic atmosphere. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Great food and drinks right across the street. If you just left the Ritz Carlton in your G Wagon and you want a place to hang your wife’s new mink coat, you may want to keep on going until you get to a big city somewhere. But if you like old town feeling, down home ,easy living, you will enjoy this place.

Cooke City is very small but packed with a lot of restaurants and shopping. Our lodging was in the middle of it all and we could walk to everything. Our rooms were extremely clean and very cute and rustic. The water shower pressure was amazing! The staff was very friendly in offering suggestions on where to eat. This motel is just a 5 minute drive from the NE entrance to Yellowstone and the Beartooth Highway. Wifi was fast and satellite TV was great to have to relax in the evening. I would definitely stay here again when I'm in town! Be sure to check out the General Store. It's an awesome throw back!

I booked this pretty last minute and was happy to find that the staff, along with the room and scenery around the property, were excellent. Easy check-in too. Great way to spend my last night in Yellowstone.
