hotel is old and run down will never stay there again.

It was OK other than every time someone else ran their water You could hear an annoying, high-pitched, squealing noise. King size bed was comfortable, but only two pillows. Fairly thin walls and pretty noisy.

we stayed in many places around the park, from Jackson to West to Red Lodge, and this by far was our favorite and most comfortable. The owner called me by name every time we met. The bed was the most comfortable of all the places during our 4 day adventure. Its cost, rustic feel was perfect. A storm rolled in and the whole town lost power but it was remedied quickly by him turning on their generator to ensure we had a safe accessible evening. Fresh coffee in the morning for our morning wolf watching before sunset. I will always stay here!!

The hotel looked like it could have been the top place in town at one time. It is not kept up and the trash can in the lobby was overflowing while three of the family owners sat on the couch.

This is an older property. Not the worst, but definitely not the best either. If you need internet here, you must likely won't have it. The internet never worked for us even when they reset the router. Which is fine, since we didn't need to be on the internet on our vacation. Cooke City doesn't have much for internet anywhere, unless you go to a restaurant where they have it or a different hotel. Just something to keep in mind if you plan on staying here. Rates were reasonable. Room was comfortable.

Very difficult to understand staff. Wrong choices given in meal, and charged for it. Hair in the refrigerator. Very dirty on the porch around the front of the facility. No A/C. Wifi almost worthless.

very nice room. Clean, good bed. Had a few small problems but staff handled right away. We had a room with a few of the mountains. Would stay again.

I like the available gift shopping, the simple dining options, and the confidence of the area. I also liked being able to walk to the things I wanted to do.

Room not clean, bed linens work.towels thin as well and not fully stocked. Half of lights burned out, not all electrical outlets functional. Wooden doors did not deal- had light coming through.

The place was very clean and had extra items if needed. Quiet except for motorcycles in the morning.

The owners were very responsive and helpful. Our tv quit working and they tried very hard to fix it for us. The facility itself was very old and run down but it was clean. The town is very small but there were restaurants within walking distance. We did not get a chance to eat at the hotel restaurant. There was no in room coffee pot or microwave which we would have liked. No air conditioning either but the nights were very cool even thought it was very hot during the day. The park entrance was only 10 miles away.

Surface very bad. Very dirty & lots of broken item in the room. Far away from Yellowstone national park. And on and on and on………

We liked the spacious room with 2 queen beds, the view of the mountain. We also liked the complimentary breakfast of fruits, coffee, and cereal.
I didn't like the mattress, too soft.

Loud rooms, management did nothing about another room using power tools all night or doing something allnight

They have updated the carpet & cleaned up the property. Very courteous & helpful. Grateful to have this option available in such a remote place.

Lack of breakfast was a definite negative.

Stiff beds, no room insulation so heard most conversations from room neighbors. Floor felt soft in some areas and the lobby was not well lit and felt just run down.

The hotel is in a beautiful setting. The hotel was clean. Wifi didn't work most of the time and there is no elevator.
Overall it was a pleasant stay.

Noisey, stiff and old beds. The hotel needs updating. Not many places to stay, so we had to settle. Fyi: NU car rentals will not let you go into yellowstone with their cars. So we put over 200 miles on the car seeing the beautiful mtns. Not impressed with the hotel. Looks cool outside but inside needs help. No insulation, so its noisey. No management on duty at night so.... It was clean but it needs updating.

This property has so much untapped potential. There are other places to stay and this wouldn't be my first choice.
