About this house rental

This wonderful lake home sits in the perfect spot over looking the main channel waters of Lake Barkley onto the Land Between the Lakes where the views are stunning year around.

The home has a great wrap around deck where you can enjoy sunrise and sunsets, a covered patio with a table and where you can BBQ, a fantastic side yard where the kids can play and a two car garage. You can also take a steep hike down to water's edge where you can take a walk or go fishing. We have avid bird watchers stay here, as you will see wildlife all around.

You will truly enjoy the inside where you will find 20 foot ceilings with floor to ceiling windows so you can enjoy the view from the inside. There are updated appliances, a large bathroom and a wonderful family area for gathering, playing games or just relaxing around the fire.

This place is a great place to relax and just to get away from our hectic lives. Also, it is a great place to have great fun and make memories. The location is convenient to many recreation ventures such as marina's, restaurants, shopping, golf, hunting, water park, and Land Between the Lakes.

The view of the lake is truly breathtaking with the sunsets. At any given moment you may see all kinds of wildlife, from birds, bald eagles, deer, and fox.

This place is perfect for a couple or a family . It has 2 bedrooms (1 queen bed/ 1 full bed) and a large bathroom.

We have just updated the living room furniture with more updates throughout the house to come in the future.

We have made so many wonderful memories with our kids and friends.... we hope you do as well.

Beautiful, clean property inside and out. The kitchen had everything you need. Grill was clean and easy to use. The care taker was proactive regarding our stay with her thoughtfulness. A couple of items that may need attention: 1. There was no clear path down to the waterfront and 2. Extra wall mirrors in the bedrooms would be useful with only one bathroom in the house.

One of the most relaxing stays we've ever experienced as family. We saw deer, bald eagles, lots of barges that went by and was fun to watch. Great views, and kitchen was well stocked with necessary pots/pans, accessories. I was sad to leave. Would stay here again!

Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely home. We enjoyed watching the boats and barges go by. Saw a river boat one day also. It’s a nice area and very quiet. We saw all kinds of birds. The eagles visited us and would sit in the tree. We met a couple of the neighbors very nice people. Visited the bison and elk prairie. We were able to see both. We walked on some trails and visited the LBL recreation area. Nice area with plenty of deer and their fawns. We enjoyed our stay very nice and relaxing.

Loved the place! Had everything you could possibly ask for in the kitchen. We didn't have a need to contact the host but their information was present and helpful. The lake view was amazing! It was cool to see some barges go by every once in a while. There isn't access to the lake which was fine for us but it is something to be aware of. We went to an animal preserve close by and saw some elk and buffalo. Also went on a few hikes. Great location!

Great views overlooking the river. We saw six eagles in the two days we were there. All of the windows just floods the house with natural light and it was beautiful! We enjoyed our time there relaxing. Thank you Summer for allowing us to check in early. We would recommend this home.

This home is exactly as advertised and was the perfect retreat for me and my daughter to hide away for a few days before Thanksgiving to eat, watch movies, and be lazy. Gorgeous views, responsive owner/caretaker, wonderful fireplace, fast internet, comfortable beds, well-appointed kitchen. High recommend! We absolutely loved our stay at the Lakeside Cabin on Barkley Lake! We were so happy to have a garage for our truck which locked easily and even had the use of a garage door opener during our stay. We really enjoyed our wildlife visitors who came on a regular basis...a red fox and many deer! The cabin was so clean and everything worked well...ceiling fans, washing machine, shower! We will definitely be back to enjoy the beautiful porch and other cabin amenities. Oh, we did much of our own cooking and found everything needed including high quality pot/pans, utensils, and dishes. Thank you for a much-needed getaway!

The property was just as described. The property was stocked very well with just about everything you need. Nice quiet neighborhood and beautiful spot to watch sunsets. It was a little chilly when we visited so we got to take advantage of the chimnea to sit around while the sun was setting.

This home, location, and spectacular view led to an amazing, relaxing Thanksgiving holiday getaway with my hubby & beagle. The home had all the amenities we needed. The fireplace with a bundle of firewood created a cozy last night ambience. The location was perfect to hike and explore with provided maps and brochures for orientation. And last but not least the picturesque window view was breathtaking. We saw bald eagles, pelicans and a glimpse of barge life with barges passing up & down Lake Barkley. We saw & heard duck hunters nestled in on Friday on the island across. We were prepared for rain so it did not slow us down in exploration and adventure. My only wish is on me, I wish we would have brought the movie On Golden Pond. One because we love it , & two the town history we learned about. No correlation with the two btw.

Positive Points The view was outstanding The area was quiet just like all the other reviews noted Nice neighbors Negative Points The mattresses are in need of replacement The fridge should be emptied out between guests of opened food items Our socks were covered in pet hair, and we didn't bring any pets. Overall the view and location are the best parts of this rental. But it is in need of some general maintenance.

Beautiful house with a 2 car detached garage on a dead end road that ends into the lake. Great view of the lake from the back deck. Everything you need and more inside the house. Bring food and snacks because it is quit a ways from a grocery store. Back on the highway there is a Dollar store with some food items plus frozen food. We absolutely loved our stay.

Excellent lake front place to stay. This was the best outfitted vacation rental we have ever stayed in! Pretty much anything you needed, they had it available. An even better plus is that this property was pet friendly. Since we were at Lake Barkley for the Updog International Disc Dog Finals, having a nice comfortable place to stay was a great help over the four days of competition.. Would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a relaxing place to stay at Lake Barkley.

We enjoyed our stay and the views were great. We were also a short drive away from all of the fun LBL offers (especially us off-roaders!!). The only thing getting in the way of 5 stars are a few small things. Cell service is poor (I was able to connect with AT&T but family with t-mobile had no service). This could be remedied with Wi-fi but it is not available. For what it’s worth, the listing was clear about this but it would improve the experience. Some will say “being unplugged is what people need more of” but I like having the balance. Most of the younger crowd has moved on from cable TV and get our news from social media or internet sites. It’s no different from the older generation that switched from newspapers to TV. Only other recommendation would be to have either a coffee table or kitchen table since this place can accommodate more people. I had to bust out a table I use for remote camping that I had with me. Beyond these 2 minor items, it’s a great property for the price. Thank you!

This was the perfect weekend getaway! The cabin is beautiful and extremely well maintained. The view was breathtaking and the neighborhood was so quiet and peaceful. Summer was an incredible host; this was the first time we have not rented from an agency and it couldn't have gone better. We cannot wait to go back!
