Had a great time visiting with family and seeing the sites. Great restaurants and not a long drive to Savannah. Captain Derek’s fishing charter was awesome.

This July myself and four friends had a six day vacation at Evelyn's Oasis. The positives about this house are:
It is a large home suitable for a large group. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs, two with their own bathroom. However, one of the bathrooms is very small. There is a third hallway bathroom available for the third bedroom upstairs.
Downstairs there are 3 bedrooms and a built in sofa with a trundle bed. One downstairs bedroom has a private bathroom. There is a full bathroom available for the other two bedrooms and the sofa/trundle. There is also a small kitchen downstairs.
The house was was very clean.
The pool area is nice, it is on the street side of the house. There is very little traffic as this street runs parallel with the beach and doesn't have public beach access.
The negative aspects include:
There are numerous steps in the house. I'm gussing the house was built in the "contempory house era" when a sunken living room was popular. There are 3-4 steps leading up to the primary suite and kitchen, and 3 steps leading up to the other two bedrooms.
There isn't a deck on the beach side of the house. There is an area with 2 outdoor tables and chairs on top of a bunker that was used in war times. It has 6-8 steps leading up to it. This area could be a lot nicer with a little bit of outdoor decorating.
Overall the accommodations were very good. However, be aware that there are steps involved in getting from Point A to Point B in Evelyn's Oasis.

Eight adults. My family and my sister’s family. It worked so well. Kids had the first floor so the “older adults “ could turn in earlier. On the water, although it is a bit of a hike but that is not to be avoided. Walking distance to restaurants and the lighthouse. Management company was Very responsive to our questions and addressed the couple of minor issues timely. The island is very quaint. Loved watching the huge cargo ships drift by and we saw dolphins every day!❤️. You need to rent beach chairs and umbrellas. But that is an island thing.

Our group ranged from a 2 year old up to age 62, grandchildren to grandparents. We all loved the area with the beach right outside and sight seeing options close by. There was something for everyone to enjoy. The close proximity to Savannah was also a plus.

The property was great and really helped us enjoy our time on Tybee! Only thing I wish we would have known (maybe we missed this) was about not walking on the brush to the beach - we didn't know about this until the cops gave us a warning. It was a blast overall though!

The property definitely needs some TLC! Pool needs a lot of work! Also patio. The first view of the house is quite disappointing. Well laid out interior was great. Exterior was another story. Property management left a lot to be desired. They were not helpful & didn’t seem to care about our needs a lot. Owner obviously has no interest in house.

We had a group of 11 so we needed 6 bedrooms which this property met that need in spades. My initial fears of having enough paper products were unfounded, there were also some prep knives that were reported MIA in an earlier review. This awesome location needs some TLC, a fresh coat of paint outside would be the first order of business to be completed. We were never to get the lights on the outside of the house by the pool to shine, we also were never able to get the fireplace to operate. I had reports of low water pressure in the down stairs bath room although the upstairs baths had plenty of pressure. A plus was there was plenty of hot water. I also had reports of the vanity tops not being secured to the walls and susceptible to being pulled off into your lap. The gas grill shows signs of use with little to no maintenance. We did not use the hot tub. We arrived about 30 minutes early and were able to get into the house early, that was greatly appreciated. Overall, our group agreed that we would stay here again.

We were there for a beach wedding and this location was perfect. The house is as advertised! It really was the perfect spot. The pool was awesome and you are steps from the beach. A few more standard items like pot-holders, tin foil and additional TP would have made it a 10. I would rent this again in a heartbeat!

The pool was excellent, the house is great for seeing the ocean, big ships, and beach. Parking for 4 cars inside gate and space for 3 outside gate. Kitchen does not have sharp knives to peal and slice stuff. Getting to beach from the house has nice path but somewhat difficult for older people and especially with knee/hip issues. There is no mop of any type to clean up after kid spills. Everything else is good. If I wanted to get together with my grown family again this is perfect, all ten of them.

Nice property
Private pool and on the beach. House was spacious and accommodated our large group. However, missing a few essential items that would have been helpful. Some of the outdoor furniture needs to be repaired or replaced.

Made a fun trip possible, but we're "a little salty"
Finding accommodations for 16 women on a bach trip was a trip in itself. We were thrilled to find a place that checked the boxes. *Several* bathrooms with showers, two kitchens, plus a pool, hot tub, and beachside location sold us. We were bummed to realize that sleeping 3 people to a king bed was the way by which this listing "technically" accommodated a party of our size (do your math, tho listing has changed to max 14)- Some slept on couches, etc. The company provides the bare minimum in terms of household items despite the home's setup/"has everything". No beach towels, as stated, but also no anything otherwise associated w/ the beach part of the beachfront rental. We were also dumbfounded by the lack of a pool skimmer for the weekend, and took shifts manually "catching leaves", it was weird. Their starter kit (inclusive of 2 rolls of TP (read that bathroom line again^) &1 spare paper towel roll of the worst kind of PT that just melts) meant we spent time and money just making sure we could keep the kitchens (and our butts) tidy. What really sent us though, is that despite having all the glassware you can imagine and drawer exclusively filled with steak knives, there was no salt & pepper in the place! No coffee filters for either of the TWO coffee makers! But whyyy?! The company apparently removes all signs of humanity/paper products between stays. We already begrudgingly packed beach towels in our *carry on luggage* & then made several trips to the store to get the basic things needed to actually use the house. We felt obligated to remove even the remaining toilet paper we'd purchased, something we'd normally "pay forward" if you will. POINT IS it was great to all be able to stay together, but the little things irked us. Like other guests, we discovered holes in walls/flooring and a barely warm hot tub, and we even got a parking ticket for parking outside the driveway gate. I didnt see mention of that anywhere... it may have been avoided if we didn't have to split up to travel to a separate location to pick up keys. Once we did THAT, check-in was easy enough. :) I was sad tho to find the cleaning crew waiting outside nearly *a full hour* before our check out, especially since we couldn't just leave the keys for them-- we had to hoof back to the main office. Still, mostly things we could soon laugh about. We had a memorable time in a cute spot w/ prime location & gorgeous views! Dolphins, folks, DOLPHINS! ;) Also the office gal is nice.

Spring break
Spring break trip with the family. Great place and tons of room. Everything was really clean, great views of the ocean, close to the light house and North beach grill. Walked to the marine science center, the playground and dog park. Property as a whole is well worn, but we're low maintenance and enjoyed it. Fort Screven remnants all over this area was pretty cool too.
If anything to suggest, and it's a minor thing, have some batteries for backup. There are TV's in every bedroom and in the common rooms and multiple remotes. It was a hassle to switch out batteries for dead remotes and keep them in the right room. Oceanfront manager was responsive too, needed a little help with the pool and hot tubs and they came right out.

Not The Gorgeous Beach Property You Think and Definitely Does Not Have Everything!
The house is on the beach as advertised but the description is not accurate. The house is really worn down with many items not working or breaking down. We found windows taped to keep them closed, most sliding doors are useless and do not open or barely open having to push really hard. The railing is loose on the bunker and the fireplace does not work as stated in earlier reviews. The outer siding is rotting off with holes and missing boards. The house in general is literally falling apart. The interior has issues through it including patchwork on the walls, broken tiles, broken TP holders and faulty faucets to name a few. They are trying to sell it and I think the rental is a bonus if they can get it.
We arrived late PM on a Thursday and tried to take a shower downstairs only to find the system backing up. We had to stop all use of the 3 bathrooms, kitchen and laundry downstairs – called in the morning and the maintenance person came out in the afternoon – said is was beyond him. Never heard back from agency until the following MONDAY and requested they resolve the issue that day. No apologies – not offer of any type of reimbursement for loss of use.
The hot tub you see in the pictures by the pool is NOT in use. That one had to have a hose in it the entire time due to a leak or something other issue. There is a second hot tub in the back of the house in a mudroom area - screened in with an outer door that has the hinges rusted off and hard to open and close. The screened area is in bad shape with tears and holes. The hot tub worked sometimes but did not work a lot having to reset the breaker at least daily. Sometimes it would get up to temp – other days it would only get to 91 degrees.
There is not enough silverware for 10 people let alone 16. There are very little cooking pots and pans. There are plenty of plates and cups in cabinets but very little cooking utensils. There is no beach equipment – no chairs – umbrellas, boogie boards etc… This is the first house we have ever rented without this standard type of items being there .
If I was able to post pictures of what is actually there I would. You are much better off trying the local rental companies like renttybee. Lesson learned - If you are looking for a house that is on the beach – that is what you get -barely – nothing else. Take pictures of all the defects when you arrive so it is documented. This house is nowhere near or worth the cost they charge for it.

Fabulous Beach Home
Lots of room for our children & grandchildren to enjoy an early spring break and have some much needed FAMILY TOGETHER time after getting our recent COVID vaccinations. Definitely deal with OceanFrontCottages directly for this one.

The house was sufficient for our group and we did enjoy our stay. Some negatives included the pool not being heated, the hot tub was not very hot, the bedrooms had unusual arrangement, and fireplace did not work. Also the beach is set up so that you have to walk thru the dunes to get to the beach even though there are signs everywhere that say do not walk on the dunes. Dogs were allowed in the house but are not allowed on the beach. There was a "deck" area that had a fence around it that was in need of repair. I don't believe it would prevent someone from falling over. We did find some bugs around the refrigerator in the upstairs kitchen.

Evelyn's oasis is situated right on the beach and offers a fantastic ocean view. The house served all of our needs and would highly recommend for any large group outings.

Awesome experience, great house, a few improvements
First, the Oceanfront team was awesome, would recommend anyone renting in Tybee go thru them. The house was great tons of space great pool. A couple of hiccups, the refrigerator had at one time held shrimp because it really smelled. We tried washing it and using baking soda with no improvement. A bed in the down stairs was so tall we had to use a step ladder to get into it. Access to the beach was thru sandy dunes. The young people had a hard time climbing it so the older folks with us didn't try it.
Even with the above items. our stay was spectacular.
