About this house rental
My-Own New Luxury Beach House is a high-end leed platinum modern contemporary beach house which was built and completed in 2013. This luxury beach home located in North Mission Beach comes with 2 mini split air-conditioning units and is equipped with recessed speakers with individual volume controls in each of the 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and surround sound in each common area. The house also offers 3 parking spots, with 2 interior garage spaces and 1 exterior space for a lage SUV which is a must-have amenity when vacationing at the beach. Friends and families will love the ability to pull up, park and conveniently gain access to the house and it’s wonderful amenities.
The first floor patio provides a perfect setting for entertaining and enjoying that famous San Diego weather with a beautiful 3-foot glass fire pit surrounded by mahogany bench seating, a built in bar and a built in gas BBQ. The exterior also affords a heated outdoor shower constructed of lovely stone and tile with dual nozzles that allow guests to wash the salt and sand off both their body and feet after a wonderful day at the beach. The first, second, and third floors boast fully operational all glass window walls that open to reveal stunning beach scenery and deliver complete passive air flow, bringing in that beautiful and refreshing cool ocean breeze. The window walls are the highest in quality with a triple pane thermally broken system that provides an excellent elimination of sound and thermal penetration.
The house sleeps a total of 8-11 comfortably. There is a King bed in the master along with a twin in the master closet. (A child's hideaway.), a queen bed in the second and two double bunk beds in the 3rd bedroom. The 4th bedroom downstairs offers a queen futon and curtains for your privacy at night with an on-suite full bathroom. The spacious bathrooms each feature a 12' rain shower head and modern contemporary stone sinks and counter-tops. But, what makes this house so great is the luxurious penthouse master bedroom with its large tub and two impressive front and rear balconies. The luxury tub and bathroom design elicit a complete feeling of being outdoors with its wrap-around windows and above ceiling skylights. The two balconies also allow for panoramic views of the ocean and bay, which is something only a select few houses can offer in Mission Beach.
This exceptional home is only steps from the beach and a block away from some of the best restaurants, bars, shops, and markets Pacific and Mission Beach have to offer. As we like to say, 'it’s heels distance away from everything', meaning no taxi's required when exploring the local shops and restaurants or when planning a fun night out on the town. Everything went great from start to finish! This was our second time staying at this property, so we knew the layout. There was no surprises, everything was as stated. The garage, you can fit two midsize SUV’s, maybe a little tight, but doable, and truck or full size SUV outside. There was eleven in our party, and everyone was comfortable. Our host! Carolyn was great! Kept us informed.

We had a great stay! We go on our family vacation every year and always stay in the same general area. We were extremely happy with this house. The three levels and three full bathrooms make it so everyone had plenty of space. Quick walk to the beach or bay. Check in was very easy and the owners were very responsive and friendly. We would definitely stay here again and will be booking for next year soon!

Our family of 11 thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The beach proximity was perfect. The kitchen is well equipped. The beds are comfortable. The three parking spaces were exactly what we needed.

This beach house was a perfect house for our girls weekend. The property manager was quick to respond to my questions. I would say the house sleeps comfortably 8-10 (if you don’t mind sharing). We had 3 beds that people shared and then 2 that didn’t, and we didn’t use the bed in the closet. The location was the best part. Walking distance to everything we wanted and an easy pick up for an Uber. You can see the ocean from the top balcony! I’d stay here again. Beautiful home.

This home was in a great location, steps for the beach for easy access with little kids. Plenty of space for a group of friends. The host was easy to reach and responded quickly to questions or concerns.

Would not ever recommend this property. Sheets dirty and stained and bed spreads in multiple rooms, futon bed frame broken in half, walls dirty, walls and furniture had holes, windows would not open in Master. Accordion windows on kitchen level were broken and were told at checkin instead of prior. So they couldn’t be opened. Reported all to the host with pictures on day of arrival. Called vrbo to report. Vrbo did nothing but contact the host and closed the case. The host basically said that they can extend our checkout time in the last day to whenever but we didn’t accept that as compensation for the inconveniences as we wanted a refund to stay elsewhere. The host didn’t extend our time in the property. The pictures in listing are better than what you really get. Location was great but this property needs updating. I would not recommend staying here as there are better places to rent than this property. I would not go through vrbo again either.

Our family stayed here for our eldest son’s wedding. It was great to have the patio & fire pit to gather around at the end of the day! Good location, VERY close to the beach🌊 There isn’t a large dinner table, but we made do.
The shower on the middle floor leaks spontaneously and the master bath jacuzzi tub was inoperable-we found that out upon arrival.
The beds were comfortable. We asked for a late check out & which we were granted with a late fee. We were grateful for the accommodation

Amazing home! Being steps from the water was a huge plus for us. The parking situation in Mission Beach is always a nightmare, that won’t be a problem if staying here. We will definitely book again.

Close to Mission Bay Blvd-noisy. Lacks adequate dining area. Too much furniture packed into a small area. Kitchen cabinets are full of unnecessary dishes leaving no space for food storage. (We packed most of the dishes in a box during our stay to make room for food).Found a lot of expired food in cabinets and refrigerator. Housekeeper told us they were instructed to not throw anything away. Indoor and outdoor shower needed repair. Repair was handled expeditiously. Other than the noise, the location is good. The "extra bed" in the master bedroom closet is useless. Using the downstairs room as a bedroom really interferes with the traffic flow of the house. Overall, a rating of fair.

Had the family together for theme parks and visiting friends. The beach house was in a great location and gave us plenty of room for much needed relaxation at the end of long days. We didn't get to really utilize the great outdoor space or open up the full wall windows. Will have to come back when it's warmer!

Great place and amazing location! We had an amazing time - easily accommodated 8 of us and have everything we needed. Being so close to the beach allowed us to walk to all the great places on the boardwalk. Host was very responsive and nice, making sure that we had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

Great accomodations for a group of 7 family members for a 5 day stay. Basically a block from Mission Beach and across the street and a block in to Mission Bay, so best of both world. Carolyn was very responsive to my questions via text and phone call. We had a great trip!

We have been coming to Mission now for 7 straight summers, first time at this particular beach house. Great house, all the amenities anyone would need. Only reason for the over all 4 is the mattress need an upgrade. All are pretty worn out. Other than that would recommend a great house for family and friends.

Very nice home. Unfortunately a few houses near it are not kept up very well
The house is beautiful and well equipped. The dryer did not work. Luckily I am pretty handy and was able to take apart and do a temporary fix as no repair person showed up during our stay. TV did not work for first few days until Manangement had a new remote sent out via Amazon. Palm tree on property in desperate need of trimming. It drops large amounts of fruit and the flies were everywhere because of it. Made it hard to keep the very nice full sliding doors they installed open.

Overall we had a very nice stay. Beds and bedding were extremely comfortable, loved the open windows and the outside fire pit and grill were great. Location was great. Near beach, restaurants and markets.
The only downside was the stove was hard to use. Knobs difficult to use.
