The property was absolutely amazing with everything we could’ve needed during our stay. It was a real bonus having the nice little pub next door too! I would love to return again as we all had a fantastic weekend. I was with a group of friends and family celebrating my birthday and the house was perfect for a base while we explored Scarborough. It was comfortable and clean with plenty of space for us all.

Property is in a good location and well worth a stay, would recommend only downfall there’s no outdoor space also no reflection to the property but the town is very hilly especially for pensioners

Spotlessly clean and well equipped. Very close to the beach. Our family had a wonderful stay in this beautiful house. Very impressed the owner rang us the night before we were due to move in to clarify that we had everything we needed and the welcome basket was a lovely touch.

3 generations of us - 14 to 82 years old - have just returned from a family Christmas at Princess Lodge. What a fantastic place! The house was clean, beautifully decorated and had everything we needed - we managed to cook Christmas dinner for 10! I particularly loved the en-suite with the sleigh bed and the addition of an extra tv room at the top of the house was perfect for our teenagers to hang out. The owner was particularly helpful with answering any queries and recommendations for the area and even left us a welcome basket with essentials ...and Prosecco! The location of Princess Lodge is perfect for accessing the town , castle , seafront etc. The fact that it adjoins the very welcoming Leeds Arms ( we got to know it well) is also a bonus! We would definitely return.

A perfect place for us.
A perfect place for us. A short walk up the hill to the castle, St Mary's church and town and an even shorter walk down the hill to the beach and the harbour. 2 great pubs very close. House very clean and tidy and nicely decorated. Owners quick to respond to any questions. The best welcome pack we've ever had. Would definitely go again.

Our family enjoyed a wonderful holiday in Princess Lodge. A lovely warm, clean house with every comfort in a convenient location. Plenty of space and privacy if needed for us all. The beach hut was an added bonus and contained everything needed for the beach. Can recommend...fabulous!

We had a brilliant time at Princess Lodge.
We had a brilliant time at Princess Lodge. The house is in a very central location and parking was invariably easy for the 3 cars our party travelled in. The house itself is beautifully presented. Comfortable but clean and all equipment that you might need during the stay. There’s enough communal space to gather a large group but plenty of personal space too. We stayed on the top floor with our 7 month old and 4 year old and the rest of our party enjoyed peace and quiet on the first floor. On our floor we had a separate lounge and bathroom so all our needs as a family were met.
The weather was a bit of a disappointment so we were only able to make use of the beach chalet on one of the days but so pleased we got the chance - a real highlight to our stay, I’m sure our little boy will never forget the fun he had.
The Leeds Arms next door were super welcoming and we spent quite a bit of time in there. The house is also a stones throw from a lovely licensed cafe ‘Sandgate’.
Very highly recommended and we may very well book again in the future

Princess Lodge is only 3 minutes walk from the seafront at the harbour end of South Beach. The excellent beach hut is c.1 mile away at North Beach and is well equipped for a tea/coffee break and has plenty of buckets/spades etc for children and deckchairs for the adults.

The 11 of us (7 adults, 3 children, a baby and 2 dogs) had a great week in Scarborough in Princess Lodge. The house had everything we needed and there was plenty of room for everybody. It was so near the beach on one side and a short walk to the beach and the fantastic beach hut on the the other bay. It is in a great position to explore the area. We went crabbing inWhitby, watching the seals at Filey Brigg, having fun at Aquamare Water Park, and spent time exploring the two different beaches. There were lots of nice walks for the dogs and the weather was great except for the day we were travelling to Scarborough. The owner was lovely and friendly and had a basket of goodies waiting for us which were very much appreciated. Many thanks from our 3 families.

We had a fantastic family weekend at the cottage for my mum’s birthday, our young boys loved the comfy bunk beds and their own tv/sitting room at the top of the house, and the house was very spacious, well-equipped and comfortable. The location was fantastic and came with 4 parking permits-parking a little bit tricky but you’ll always find a space. We loved the beach hut too, our boys had a whale of a time on the beach with the kite. Beach hut v well equipped with deck chairs, sink, tea/coffee/kettle etc, and kite, cricket, buckets and spades. Suzanne, the owner was super-helpful in providing recommendations for child and dog friendly restaurants and for lovely things to do. We will be back!

We stayed in the Princess lodge for a family holiday celebrating my daughters 30th for a week at the beginning of June. We were a party of 10 ranging from 7 months old to 72 years old. Although we didn't get the weather during our stay the house and its location certainly made up for it.
The house was spacious and decorated lovely as you can see from the pictures. Its location was literally a few hundred yards from the sea front and even a shorter walk to the local shop and friendly pubs.
There was a very generous welcome pack on our arrival including treats for the dog :)
Suzanne the owner was very helpful and full of ideas on where to visit.
We would recommended this house as excellent in every way and hopefully will get the opportunity to return soon.
