Cleanliness of property: Horrific, had to clean the place on arriving, including but not limited to, cleaning loving room floors and covered in dog hair, cleaning the highighted as Sanitised toilets as covered in filth and hairs, moved broken furniture out of the living room as unsafe, sofa in conservatory unusable as covered in what looked like aged slug slime, had to wash the majority of the dishes as some was poorly washed and some was just put away dirty, also rubbish in the outhouse area (recycling) of pizza boxes and beer, no big deal except it was very hot in there so it stunk. General upkeep ok, it felt like management company not interested in caring for property.
Check in pocess: Let down by cottages.com, i was unaware that i needed an account on their website to access the door code, tried to open account, wasn't able to, tried to call, got a robot, after about 2 hours of battling with a system error we finally managed to get a login and the door code.
Accuracy of online listing: General information correct.
Communication with property manager: Sent a message on the online acount to cottages.com regarding the cleaniness and the damages already present at the property, had an email back next day saying i would be contacted about it, have yet to receive this contract and it's a week later. Very disappointing.
Location and property size: Amazing, couldn't get much better.

Thoroughly enjoyed an old fashioned seaside holiday with our granddaughter & grand dog.
Thoroughly enjoyed an old fashioned seaside holiday with our granddaughter & grand dog. Already missing the sea views and easy walk to the beach & coastal path walks. Found the house very comfortable, if a little tired. Attention to detail on cleaning would have been appreciated.

Great location for a family holiday.
Great location for a family holiday. Everything you need is provided for. The double en suite bedroom would benefit from either wardrobe or chest of draws.
Lovely view across the bay.

Location great but only if you are mobile but their is a regular bus service or have access to a car. View was amazing and property suited our needs brilliantly. Entrance to property not suitable for wheel chair access which didn't affect us. Would stay here again 100%

Stunning property, beautiful location. Perfection.
When we arrived at the property we couldn't have been happier. The views were stunning and the accommodation certainly makes the most of them. Stunning sea views from all rooms except the en suite. The house was well equipped and very clean. No sign of the damp and mould mentioned in other reviews. We had a quick visit from a local lady who explained she was on hand if needed, she gave us her mobile number (not that we needed it). We found buckets and spades to use on the beach and added crabbing kits for anyone wanting to use them.
We stayed with children aged 10-15 and found plenty to do locally. We ventured to the local arcade (excellent, but a little tired), the zoo (lovely), the ponies on the moors (found cream tea!), Paignton (beautiful pier, but not as giving as Goodrington), Torquay, and Brixham for crabbing (caught plenty).
We chatted to the fishermen fishing at night near the end huts- some may even let you have a go and hold their catch, if you ask nicely enough!
Can't recommend this setting and cottage enough. Would love to return. Thank you for making it so pleasant.
