The cottage was cosy and we had a lovely time. The American style fridge/freezer was an added bonus. The location was perfect for walking into town and for the walking the dogs, in the park. Keswick is great and has all the amenities needed for a relaxing enjoyable Christmas away from the rat race.

It was perfect cottage very quit, great location for town, going out walking and close to the park for our little one.
The only negative we have is there is no kitchen door, so we had trouble keeping our toddler out of there while we were cooking & using the dryer (both appliances get very hot) I would suggest to the owner an extra child gate would be an idea to offer to those who are taking an infant for closing off the kitchen.

Excellent location, near to Fitz Park and the town centre.
Excellent location, near to Fitz Park and the town centre. Enclosed rear garden very handy if you have a dog. A garage is available, but we didn't use it as there was plenty of street parking while we were there.
Philip has provided some quality items; with a massive fridge/freezer, large television, decent central heating, comfortable beds and sofas. The cottage is clean, cosy and warm with a good WiFi signal. The decor is somewhat quirky in places, but we quite liked this. Clean fresh bedding and towels were a bonus too.
Just a couple of niggles : We would have liked more than one dishwasher tablet and an empty can of air freshener to be provided.
Guests are asked to put the bins out on Monday night. We had only just arrived, but found that they were already overflowing. After dragging them down an icy / slippery back ally, in the dark, my husband said he could understand why previous guests hadn't bothered!

Great cottage, great location, very clean & comfortable. Less than 10 mins to Keswick centre, & near to Derwent water. Really comfy beds, plenty of seating and kitchen utensils. Only one little grumble the outside bin was full when we arrived. Do not be put off by this great place to stay.

Philip’s cottage was spoiled by one aspect - overwhelming dog odour. The mats and soft furnishings (despite a request not to let dogs on furniture) smelled even after extensive febreze applications and continuous airings. Such a shame as it could be a lovely house.

This is a wonderful cottage, ideal for taking dogs as you can walk straight into Fritz Park. A ten minute stroll and you can be picking up a wood fired pizza from one of the excellent resturants in Keswick. The cottage is well equipped, the beds are comfy and ice on tap for that evening G&T. Our four dogs settled really quickly as it felt like home.

Excellent location for visiting Keswick and surrounding area. Lovely walk along the river into town. Kitchen well equipped. A wardrobe in the main bedroom would help but other than that cottage has everything you need.
