We were excited to stay here near Northstar. It is a 5 minute walk to the village as advertised. However, there were issues with communication about the place. First, I had to call Vacasa to get the details of the place sent to me. Second, the door code didn't work. Luckily someone answered the phone and there was a key in the lock box. The wifi info in the email was wrong. And there were no parking passes. We got notices on our car and hopefully will mot be charged anything.

Nice and cozy. And easy walking to the lift!

This particular unit is clean and updated and an easy walk up to the Village for adults and young kids alike. The idea is to leverage the amenities of Northstar at reasonable lodging prices.

Good
We’d stay here again, given the nice location surrounded by woods and given it’s dog friendly. It’s perfect for 2 or 3 people, maybe a bit more, but you’d have a hard time cramming 6 people here given the beds are small and two of the beds are bunk beds. Note to Vacasa that the dryer knob was broken so we couldn’t use the dryer.

really wanted to like it
The address posted on the listing doesn't actually take you to the right place, got very confused until I realized it is missing "Drive" at the end of the street name, and neither Google or Apple maps could figure that out.
There was a bad odor (smelled like animal urine) coming from both the master bedroom (not sure if it's the carpet or bed), and
coming from couch upstairs, stains everywhere on carpet.
If there is Air Conditioning in the home, it does not work. Temperature was relatively uncomfortable the whole day, can't imagine how much worse it is on a hotter day.
Bed in master bedroom was not comfortable, they clearly bought the cheapest possible sheets as they were rigid, and uncomfortable.
Kitchen/bathrooms were clean, although shower has the worst shower head imaginable
I've rented another condo in the same complex previously and it was much more comfortable, clean, and cared for. Overall it was a place to stay in a nice area so it's 'fine' but I feel I really overpaid for a property that isn't very cared for.

A great place to stay!
We had a great time here! It made a great "home base" for a weekend at Northstar. Much faster internet than some of the places we've stayed in the past, and a reasonably well-equipped kitchen. It was great to be able to bring the dog with us, too!

North Star Condo
Beautiful clean place and we enjoyed our stay with the exception of... The lockbox didn't work and we had to call the help line and they instructed us to use the 2nd lockbox under the stairs. It was super dark and cold with no light at all. Hard to navigate.
We were happy with the place but after putting our pizza on the counter it immediately attracted tons of ants. This must have happened prior as there was ant spray under the sink. I recommend that they suggest that you bring a log to burn. It showed a bunch of wood in the condo pictures but none were there. In the morning I took a shower and the tub drain was completely clogged. So I had to go into the other bathroom. Not sure how the clogged drain wasn't noticed during the cleaning process.
Despite these disappointments the place was clean and beautiful. Felt very comfy and welcomed there with our dog.

One night stay
Perfect for what we needed. Would have been nice to have coffee available with coffeemaker. Had to run twice to Starbucks in village instead.

Needs some attention
The property could us some attention. The kitchen did not have potholders, dish towels, salt or pepper, utensils, and the carpets need cleaning. It is not quite what is described in the listing. Pot and pans, coffee maker, could use an upgrade.
The beds are comfortable and clean. Bathrooms were as described.
It would not take much to get the condo into shape as it is a bit neglected.

The Positives:
The location is good for exploring the Northshore of Tahoe. Very close to Truckee and Kings Beach, and easy to get to Tahoe City.
We were happy to be able to bring the pooch.
The 2 queen beds are comfortable. TV system easy.
Kitchen is fairly well equipped but was lacking hot pads and kitchen towels. The gas grill was handy! Bathrooms are nice.
The not so Positives:
The carpet is so filthy that we all wore socks the whole time. I called right away to inform Vacasa, as I did not want to be held responsible since I brought my dog. It needs to be cleaned ASAP or ripped out and replaced. Yuck.
Don't recommend doing much laundry as the dryer is terrible - took 3 cycles to dry a small amount of clothing so we didn't do any more loads.
The bunk bed situation is uncomfortable if you have older kids - mine are teens and you can barely get the door open because room is tiny. The washer/dryer is in there, as well - it's a bit bizarre and my kids felt claustrophobic in there.
There were a few things that need fixing - I called to have porch light fixed and repair guy came when we were gone and just left 2 lightbulbs - which wasn't the problem.
Kitchen is missing the screen so you cannot open window. No pot holders or kitchen towels.
One of windows in living room won't open. Porch was filthy - both floor and chairs - I had to clean to even use it - not what I want to be doing on my vacation. There is no broom so had to use a towel.
Lots of cobwebs. Overall they need to go in and give this place a deep clean. We didn't let it ruin our vacation but it definitely needs some sprucing up.

Upgrades needed
The kitchen needs some attention. The silverware was non existent, no dish towels or potholders. There wasn’t any salt or pepper, cooking oil or spices... it was pretty bare. The carpet needs cleaning. The beds and seating were comfortable and the cable was good.

Great Place to Stay!
Warm bed, cozy place, great night sleep! No complaints. Fireplace burns real wood (not electric) so if you're into burning real wood in a fire place you'll enjoy it. We didn't have any wood so would have preferred an electric fire place.

Convenient Ski Condo
We spent 3 nights here during March to ski. It was very convenient - shuttle picks you up in the parking lot and you can kind of ski back. The condo itself was comfortable. We only had 3 adults - it sleeps 6, but 2 need to be children who sleep in bunk beds. I'd stay there again.

Great location and comfy condo
We really enjoyed our stay at this condo. It was spacious and clean. Would be nice if a bit of fire wood was included with the rental. But, great location, easy walking distance to Northstar Village.

Convenient location and comfortable condo for family of 4!
Close location to Village (1 stop with shuttle). Well appointed condo with fully equipment kitchen. I think the lighting system could be improve in the main/ upstairs dining/ living room area. we would come back again!

Great for family (including pets)
Great layout for family and the tranquil surroundings were just what we needed. We especially enjoyed the babbling stream in the background behind the unit:) The village was just a short walk up and there was also a shuttle. The condo was cute, clean and met all our needs.

Disappointing condo in Northstar
Like the location close to Northstar Village, just a short walk. Not for families that want to cook. Man items missing in the kitchen.
Not as clean as I would have liked and no fan upstairs.. Very warm mid day. No outside chairs or tables for the balcony.i

Great Place - But buyer beware
I think this place is great in and of itself. However, my biggest disappoint was my expectation of it being ski-in/ski-out and it turning out to not being the case. You in fact either have to take the free shuttle or drive in order to get to the lifts. The other amenities advertised, hot tub, recreation center, etc., are equally far. This is especially disappointing when you consider the costs associated, I was expecting it to be exactly as advertised.
Other than that the place was advertised and has everything as you would need. It is comfortable and cozy.
