We had a little couples getaway for a weekend here. The house was perfect for 4 adults, furniture was comfortable and the house was clean and cozy. We appreciated having bikes to use for a quick trip to the store. The neighborhood is very peaceful and quiet, and was beautiful with all the fall colors. Proximity to Sherman Ave and all the shops and restaurants downtown was great.

Loved the property and the location. Easy walk to downtown and the lake. Had everything we needed. Great beds! Loved sitting on the porch every morning drinking coffee. Would absolutely rent this place again.

We were really pleased with staying in this comfortable and quiet house. Everything worked great, including the air conditioning as it was very hot while we were in CDA. The house is well located, walkable downtown to many restaurants and patios, and a short walk to the Safeway grocery store. A nice backyard with fire pit, and the secure storage for bikes was a great add on. Would definitely stay again.

We were extremely pleased with all aspects of this property and our experience while there was phenomenal. However, we were charged for sheets because the cleaner stated to the owner they had gone missing. We did not take any sheets home with us so I’m not sure what happened here. This was disappointing.

We loved this house. The location was perfect. It was within walking distance to everything...park, beach, downtown, restaurants! Thank you for letting us stay.

No issues for us. House was as it was described.
We did not spend much time there as we explored the area. Some good hiking all withing 15 minutes to the area. Location of home allowed us to walk into town.

This home was just about perfect for our family.
This was our 1st VRBO and were pleasantly surprised by the ease and accuracy of the home.
Thankful for AC (it was a hair over 90)
The front deck is awesome!
Nice big t.v.
Closer to downtown than we realized when we booked.
My wife did not like the "busy" street (I say it that way because it really wasn't that bad although every now and again someone would be going way over the 30 mph)...we're used to a cul de sac that has almost no worries so our kids (4, 7, 8, 10) needed much more supervision and rules to stay away from the street and only go yay far up and down the sidewalk on bikes and scooters)
The master bedroom is in the basement (and stays super cool which is a huge plus) but it felt really strange not being on the same floor as the children (which we're used to being in a split level and the kids being right by us). Also weird having windows open to keep cool on ground level (to us...most might be used to that) so my wife actually slept upstairs on the hide-a-bed most of the week.
The shed with bikes and beach goodies was awesome. My kids LOVED the paddleboards and I was pleased that they're actually not too bad to set up and get everything back in the bag (it actually fits quite well).
Negative- the downstairs bath mat was damp when we arrived and a puddle of water underneath and the basement smelled of chemical... I run a tile/grout/stone cleaning company, not sure what they used down there. It aired out.

My family stayed here for a weekend of soccer tournaments and bike racing and it was great! So cute and everything we needed, laundry, extra pillows and blankets and plenty of towels. Kitchen is stocked nicely and decorated. We loved it and highly recommend!

The house was great for our group - 5 adults. There is plenty of room with a nice fenced in backyard (we didn’t use this, but would be great for adults and smaller children). The kitchen was spacious and had everything we needed. We had trouble with the Wi-Fi and contacted the owners who responded immediately with a fix. Only downside is that it was a very hot week and the air conditioning units are only in the kitchen and living area, two of the rooms had fans so the bedrooms were a little warm. Overall a great vacation and would stay here again.

Charming house in a wonderful location!
Overall, we had a wonderful visit!
Pros of our visit include: location to downtown, well stocked house and bedroom downstairs that is separate from rest of house was great for kids.
Cons of our visit include: lack of communication from host and lack of cleanliness. Examples are dirty silverware, used bar of soap in shower, dirty blankets and random items under bed and in couch cushions.

September Getaway
My husband and I really enjoyed our time in Couer D’ Alene! Lisa was quick to respond to my reservation request. The house was perfect for us! We enjoyed nightly wine on the front porch. House was stocked with everything we needed; close to Safeway, restaurants, etc. Some places of note we visited: hiked Tubbs Hill, fly fished couer d’Alene river up past Prichard, cute shops and eateries in Wallace, in cda Cappones, Wine House, Crafted; in Post Falls Sawmill Grille. We also enjoyed golfing at the local city course. Would definitely visit Couer D’Alene again and stay in this house!

Our first visit to Coeur d' Alene
We really enjoyed our visit to CDA. The house is in a quiet neighborhood but near to the lake and shopping on Sherman street. The rooms are comfortable and roomy and every needed is there. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and watching the world go by.
We took the lake cruise and it was very nice, it is a good way to get to see some beautiful homes. There are many eating choices close to the house but cooking in was no problem.
Overall a lovely stay.

A top neighborhood and a great house
I was also very pleased with the house itself. The TV/dining room is one big area and held plenty of space for the 7 people we had in it. The couches are large and the TV is probably too big. And I felt that that made the space look smaller in the photos. And a big <3 to that porch.

Very happy with our stay
The home was very clean and well stocked. We all agreed one of the best we’ve stayed at. The check in was very frustrating because they had changed the code and did not communicate. Overall a very nice experience once we finally got in.

Great Location
This is a nice little updated house, not far from the main drag of downtown, and likewise close to the main beach. Thankfully for us, the house does have a pair of wall-mount AC units, which worked very nicely considering we stayed during the 108 F heatwave of 2021. It was a little unclear from the pictures, but there are two bedrooms and a bathroom on the main floor, then out a glass paneled door, then a few steps down to the back door (which is slightly irritating, since it swings the wrong way), and around the corner from that is a few more steps down to a master suite with a king bed and its own bathroom. The master suite does not have a real door to it, the door to the suite is at the top of both half steps of stairs.
The backyard is very nicely done up, but be aware that the sprinklers come on every day in the evening, so find the controller to turn them off if you want to hang out back there. Owners had a new cornhole set delivered while we were there, and have a nice assortment of stuff you can use at the beach, as well as a wagon to haul it down the couple blocks.
Appliances were very nice, (you are the dishwasher, which is fine), BBQ looked brand new and had a full propane tank. (We took advantage of this). Upstairs TV is humongous, and used youtube TV, which had more options than we needed.
Overall, the experience was very positive, and we'd certainly book again, especially given the proximity to downtown.

Home away from home!
The home was very charming. And it wasn't very far from the down town area! There was only two things that I didn't like about the property. And that was the stairs off the sidewalk and the busy street out front.

We used the fire pit 2 nights and enjoyed our coffee on the front porch in the morning. Close to downtown & water. We would stay here again.

We will NEVER stay here again!
I would love to say that this rental was a pleasure to stay at; however, I should have followed my gut instinct and gone with another choice. Beware of a rental who charges 3x the damage deposit as other rentals in the same area and makes you purchase property damage insurance. Our experience is that they will find something to charge against your deposit. Be aware that the Rental Agreement states that unless the Owner is contacted on your day of check-in, you are responsible for ALL issues in the house. Now if you want to spend your check-in day deciding if the house meets your standards or not, this is the place for you. We on the other hand couldn’t wait to get to the beach! Our stay began with not being able to enter the house. The rental agreement is clear about all the fees you will be charged if you don’t comply; however, neglects to provide information on access to the property (as the key in the envelope was not in the mailbox). Positive note, the Owner was available by phone to provide access. However, the Owner was clear to state I could have found this information on the “Hospitality” page on VRBO. Though this was our first rental on VRBO, I have yet to find a Hospitality page. Upon entering the house, it is mostly updated and appears clean; however, is deceiving in areas and need improvements.
Warning against using the bikes in the shed! There rental agreement clearly states you are using these items in their shed at your own risk. These bikes are not safe to ride....hope you don’t get the bike that has no front brakes. Though we chose this house due to the activity items they stated were available in the shed, we ended up having to rent everything. The rental agreement states not to touch the irrigation system, well if you are staying in one of the back bedrooms I hope you are an early riser as the sprinkler system kicks on at 5:30 am and wakes you like a rooster crowing! There are very narrow stairs leading to the basement bedroom and backyard with no handrailing. Also, you can expect a surprise visit from the yard maintenance, hope you weren’t enjoying a nap or activities in the yard! The location of this house is on a very busy street in Cd’A which the traffic noise can be heard within the house. There are so many other options within the downtown Cd’A area that I would not recommend this place.

We loved this location to downtown and sitting on the porch in the mornings and evenings. We used the bikes, sand toys and games. Thanks for a great stay.

Wonderful house with all the amenities and Lisa is an amazing host
We had a great time at this house. We used the well stocked kitchen for a lot of cooking. Everything was clean and we didn’t miss anything. The backyard is wonderful and fenced in for kids to play safely. There were beach toys and bikes in the shed and the front porch was a nice place to retreat to as well. We had some questions for Lisa and she replied promptly and was very helpful.
The location was also perfect for us. Thank you!

Two families of four had a great time
We had two families of four staying here. The house is in great shape and the location is perfect. If I owned a house in CDA this is where I'd like it to be. We walked to Capone's restaurant for some great pizza. We also walked to the waterfront park and spent some time in the city. We spent some fun nights playing board games in the living room. We enjoyed relaxing on the front porch with some wine. Looking forward to our next visit.
