Although we were close to the beach, that was the only good thing about the house. The house is in bad need of repairs and upkeep. There are roaches and a smell that penetrates everything. Trash in the storage room that appears to have been there for quit a while. Just find another place to stay.

Great location just a couple minutes walk from the quiet beach. Good size for a medium to larger size family.

Arrived to door knobs broken. Found mice droppings and full roach traps in kitchen drawers. Found roaches in the house crawling on food and had to shake out luggage and clothes to ensure we did not bring any back to our house. Will never stay there again.

On 2 separate occasions we had the rental people show up without a phone call or consent. Multiple issues with the house : mold in the ice dispenser, loose stair railing and door knobs, windows would not lock, no screen in one window and holes in another, front porch door would not stay shut unless it was locked, back patio furniture was disgusting, and the back porch was a safety concern. The entire house was a safety concern.

Thr 1 star rating is only because I can't give a 0 star rating..
Home was not cleaned or sanitized prior to entry. I was back and forth and waiting on someone to come and fix issue. This never happened. The kitchen sink backed up and started dripping underneath, the showers were not cleaned with human hair particles in all, trash on the floor, refrigerator had black stains on the handle that were bot wiped off, master bed sheets at blood spots on them at the foot of the bed after pulling the sheets to be cleaned, toilets had pee and feces stains, carpets were dirty in the living room and master bedroom, dirty dishes in the cabinet. I have never been so discussed with the stay at this home. The cleaning charge for this booking is over 300.00 dollars and they offer professional cleaning. This was just a brief of ejat we experienced. It was so bad I took pictures and sent them in. This is not what we expected experienced. This was the most uncomfortable and disgusting stay I have ever had. I would never book a stay here again even if it were free or they paid me too.

The location was great and the floors beautiful. BUT, the Air conditioner didn't work causing the house to heat up to 85 degrees. One of the king beds was broken and the ceiling fan in that room didn't work. After multiple calls to the local management and the home office in Portland, not much was done. The A/C guy came out on the on the 6th day of our one week vacation, but he didn't fix the A/C. On the 6th day, they repaired the bed, but not the ceiling fan. Multiple other smaller issues that were never resolved. It a shame that the property is so poorly managed and has fallen into disrepair.

Just in for a short stay (2 nights) to attend a funeral.

The family area and kitchen were spacious and nice for our family of 7.

The house and location were great for our stay. However, when we first entered the unit, there were several dead cockroaches spread throughout the house. In addition, the washing machine seems to not drain and spin at all. The clothes are dripping wet when the cycle is complete, and it takes the dryer at least 4 complete cycles to dry the clothes. We mentioned this to the management company, but did not receive any responses. Maybe avoid having to do laundry because this was an absolute pain. Other than that, the house was great for a longer stay.

This was a pleasant place to gather family for a vacation. From here there is access to the beach and it is a short drive to several historical locations including historical Savanah, Ga.

This house is in serious need of updating. You expect a certain amount of wear and tear but there are serious issues that were not reported the worst being the a/c on main level did not work and it was 80 degrees all week. Maintenance did respond after 2 days and tech came out for the 4th time and was unable to fix and indicated it needed replaced. Bedroom upstairs was unusable all week and we couldn't cook because it was too hot. House was clean, but old and the beach it is located across the street from is a shipping lane so more like a lake in case you are not expecting that. Would mot rent again.

There were quite a few positives with renting this house, however there were some things that needing improving as well. The property is close to Savannah Beach (not the Atlantic) and Huc-A-poos so the area never seemed overly crowded. Now the negatives, the AC on the top floor, the main floor, couldn’t keep up and it was often 80+degrees. The house needs general maintenance, painting, replacing deck and fence boards, things like that. In a house that sleeps 8, you should have comfortable furniture for everyone. You could easily fit another couch in the living room rather than have guests sit on uncomfortable dinning room chairs. We did have a good time but I would not rent this specific property again.

Lovely
Perfect location and set up for attending my GSU graduation with some family. Everything exactly as described and newer couches than the ones mentioned in other reviews. The light is beautiful throughout the house. Getting a code to the door was very nice. We lacked for nothing!

Overall good
It was good until the last night. We had strangers come to the door asking how to get in the house next door to us

One Month Stay
We had a wonderful stay at Tybee and loved the location of the cottage - even though it did not have the ocean/beach view that was listed as an "amenity". Some extra cleaning was necessary when we arrived (very dirty windows and blinds, top of fridge), and we needed extra items brought in (the grill was broken and there were only 4 spoons and no mixing bowls when we arrived) but the local representative quickly brought us replacements. Overall, our family had a great vacation.

Great House and Location
This house and location was perfect for our group. We have 7 people and the number of rooms/beds and bathrooms fit us perfectly. The upstairs common area and the balcony was also a great large space for us. We felt like there was enough room for all of us. This is also a great location to public beach access! It was so nice to be able to go back and forth to the house and beach in a very quick amount of time. Parking was great. We were able to fit five cars in the driveway area and there was still space for more cars.
There are a few reasons this isn't a 5 star review, but I will say if I was going to Tybee Island again with a large group, I would definitely consider this house again. The main reasons for the 4 stars:
1. We never could fully get the wifi to work. We reset it a few times to get it to work for a bit, but then it would go out or be a weak signal even if we were right by the box.
2. The pans provided were definitely small. If you are making food for a large group, definitely bring larger pans for use. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and other items.
3. The couch in one area dipped super low. I read this in other reviews so it doesn't look like it's been fixed.

Nice and convenient
We had a wonderful time. The house was a great size for our family. It was also nice to be so close to the beach.

Good family place to stay.
The sleeping arrangements were great for our family. The floor with most the rooms stayed nice and cool all day. There were a couple minor things which were not deal breakers. The main couch has seat that is totally “flat” you fall into a hole and it is difficult to get out of. The love seat arm rest is broken. The cover and padding is fine but the underlying wood support is completely broken. We found this location on Airbnb and pictures there led us to believe it had at least some river view. They must of been a couple years old though as all you can see from the balconies is tree tops.

I would have given this house 6 stars, but they made me leave at the end of the week instead of letting me stay forever.
Our family of 4, with two young children, had plenty of room to run and around and be wild without disturbing anyone. The beach is a short walk away. Its a quiet beach, and we saw hundreds of dolphins, a lot of crabs, and of course the large ships coming in and out of Savannah.
Close to several good restaurants and neat little shops.
Easy to check in, just get the code when you arrive and enjoy!

Great House
We liked the location and space.

Good location for families
The house was in a great location for us. Right across the street from beach access. Away from commercial area of island. The bedrooms were great and spacious. There is a nice big dining table. The only area for improvement is the living room furniture and the poor condition of the furniture. It only had a couch (which springs seemed to be broken in) and a love seat. Plenty of room for another couch or some chairs. This being said still had a great trip and we would stay again.

Perfect for a large family
We normally stay beachfront at Tybee but needed a larger space with more parking for our family of 8 plus a baby this year. The master suite was comfortable. It was nice having 3 full baths. The kitchen was equipped better than anywhere we have ever rented. There is plenty of room to spread out with 2 decks, a fenced yard, and a short walk to the boardwalk. The beach is more like a lake with no waves if you have little ones who need calmer waters. We enjoyed our week!

Very nice house. Comfortable, clean, excellent location and everything included as advertised.

Fun for all!
Everything, only complaint was the shower head in master bedroom wasn't working properly.

Mid July stay
The house was well kept. Kitchen utensils are bare minimum but we made do. South Tybee beach is truly special place. This house is about 5-10 minutes from that beach. We drove twice. This house sits across from a lovely beach which had some amazing sunsets. While the sunset we enjoyed watching a pod of 20+ dolphins. Everything worked as advertised and was in excellent condition. We had a great time and would return!

Spacious home in great location
Our family of 5 came to Tybee Island for the first time and were hoping to find a place in a good location. We really lucked out with this place! Very close to the quiet north beach. The check in process was very easy. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and roomy. A couple of things would have been nice, such as more living area furniture (not enough room to all sit together) and the kitchen could be better stocked with dish towels and foil/plastic wrap. Certainly did not detect from our stay! I would recommend this place to anyone!

Great family vacation
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tybee Island. The location is phenomenal and the home on Bay Street is extremely comfortable. We easily accessed both the beach on the Savannah River and the beach near the Tybee Lighthouse. Also, we would walk for just a few minutes to grab coffee in the morning and dinner at night. The only thing we wished the home had was a working outdoor shower.

Overall a great beach vacation
Overall it was great. Loved being so close to the beach! The kitchen was pretty well equipped for basic cooking - only suggestions to add to the kitchen would be a can opener; we bought a cheap one and left it there. A few other suggestions for the owners - 2 night stands and lamps instead of one of each in the queen bedroom, wall mounted hand towel holders in all the bathroom vanity areas. Making all the french doors easier to lock - they were too easily pushed open by little ones; especially the top floor bathroom doors. Also providing a carpet sweeper vacuum at the very least if not a regular vacuum - we did use a broom quite a bit but we would have liked to vacuum the rugs some throughout the week. We were unable to find any kind of vacuum anywhere though. Just an esthetic thing - some of the wall paint was peeling up close to the ceiling in the "jack and jill" bathroom. The 2nd king bed needs an actual box spring mattress. We didn't end up using the decked back patio/backyard area but the patio could really use some attention. We had 2 little ones with us and I'd be afraid for them to fall or run around on it with bare feet. Just generally speaking though, it was a good week spent with family! We may look at renting here again next year if we're able!
