High Thearns is a wonderful detached bungalow, a former cow byre, located on the outskirts of Middleton-in-Teesdale. County Durham. Hosting three bedrooms; a king-size with en-suite, a king-size double, and a twin, along with a bathroom, this property can sleep up to six people. Inside you will also find a kitchen/diner with small snug area, and a sitting room with woodburner, To the outside is off-road parking for three cars, and a terrace with furniture. Situated in a spectacular setting amongst lovely rolling countryside, High Thearns is a unique retreat in an impressive part of England. Note: Friday and Monday arrivals only if wishing to alternative please enquire.
Amenities: Oil fired central heating with woodburning stove. Oil fired Rayburn, electric hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, fridge, freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, tassimo machine. 1 x TV, 1 x Smart TV with Freeview and Netflix. WiFi, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel, power and starter pack for fire inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Travel cot and highchair provided, please note: guests are required to provide their own bedding for the cot. Off-road parking for 3 cars. Bike storage. Garden and terrace with furniture.BBQ available please bring own charcoal Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Pub, shops, restaurants and award winning fish and chip shop 4 mins walk. Note: Private fishing on a stretch of the river Tees by arrangement with the owners. Can be booked in conjunction with Low Thearns property ref 1085244 to sleep a total of 10 people. Note: Friday changeover. Note: The property has no internal steps, but there are 6 steps leading up to the property. Note: Friday and Monday arrivals only if wishing to alternative please enquire.

With a wide range of shops, pubs and places to eat, this lovely little settlement boasts a range of amenities. The surrounding countryside is a great place for walkers with pretty wooded valleys and high open moorland as well as the incredible waterfalls of High Force and Cauldron Snout, regarded as some of the most spectacular sights in the district. Barnard Castle, a lovely market town, is also close by and offers a huge range of facilities and activities.
