Make your next family reunion or group retreat a memorable one at this eight-bedroom West Ocean City property, an expansive estate and adjacent cottage with incredible amenities that include a private swimming pool, a well-stocked game room with a wet bar, and plentiful outdoor space for barbecues and celebrations.
This lush, three-and-a-half-acre property includes two separate homes that sit a few miles west of downtown Ocean City and north of Assateague State Park.
Your vacation begins at the main house, where a beautifully manicured lawn welcomes you home. Step inside to find an air-conditioned living space full of natural light, with two-story ceilings, polished tile floors, and a wood-burning fireplace with an immense brick facade.
The elegant kitchen is at the heart of this home, offering pristine stainless steel appliances (including a dishwasher), granite countertops, and richly hued wood cabinets. Get the whole group together to make pancakes each morning and enjoy sitting down at the eight-person dining room.
Spend the glorious days of spring and summer outdoors, splashing with your children in the private pool (which is open from May until September), practicing your jump shot in the pool-side basketball hoop, and hosting friends for fun-filled get-togethers. The patio includes an outdoor fireplace, a bar, a gas grill, and plentiful seating, while the lawn has space for the kids to run around.
Back inside the main house, mix a few cocktails at the wet bar in the game room, and challenge your loved ones to a few rounds of foosball and pool.
There's no better place to end the evening than on the plush sofas in the living room, gathered in front of the big-screen TV with upgraded Comcast cable to have 200 plus channels and streaming capabilities. Most rooms have smart TVs as well to stream Comcast, Netflix, or Amazon with ease. Choose a movie from the DVD library, use the WiFi to plan the next day's activities, or enjoy a bit of privacy by watching one of the 12 other TVs in the kitchen, game room, barbecue area, and bedrooms.
In the main house, you'll find five bedrooms with one king bed, five queen beds, and two double beds. The cottage features three bedrooms with two queen beds, a double-over-double bunk, and two twin beds.
The cottage is also a wonderfully equipped home in its own right, offering partial air conditioning, its very own kitchen, a six-person dining room, and a charming sitting room. You'll also find a sunroom and an outdoor patio with a bar area, a firepit, and plentiful seating for evening cookouts.
With a beautiful country setting that's just a short drive from Maryland's shore, this West Ocean City property is ideal for families in search of summer sun, entertainment, and relaxation. Head to Ocean City for the day to surf and sunbathe, peruse the eateries and arcades on the historic boardwalk, and test your nerves on the thrilling rides at Jolly Roger Amusement Park 10 miles east.
Spend a day exploring the gorgeous expanse of Assateague State Park just nine miles south, or tee off at the Glen Riddle Golf Club or the Ocean Pines Golf & Country Club - both of which welcome non-members. Your kids will also delight in a visit to the Old West in Frontier Town, where they can pan for gold, witness gunfights, and see a Wild West Show just five miles south.

The house is simply not what it advertised. We followed the previous vacationers, and the dishwasher still did not work. We had an issue adjusting the water temperature in both the king suite and the upstairs shower. The king suite could not be adjusted (adjuster frozen), and they never sent anyone. We could not use the room off the pool because there was an issue with odor and the air conditioner. We loved spending time by the pool fireplace area however it should have been power washed for the season. I noticed electrical plate covers were missing in the main house, and the air conditioner did not always cool the house. The company that cleaned the house did a great job. The owner should update the furniture in the main living room, as well as remove the carpeting in the house, being a rental it is impossible to maintain. I know this sounds disheartening, however, if you are renting this house for a place to gather it will accommodate that, if you are renting to spend a luxurious time away, it will not.

Spending a week with our family group of 13 adults and 8 kids (ages 3 months-14) was a priceless and memorable experience. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool. While the house, cottage, and pool were comfortable, they were not especially clean. The dishwasher did not work. Vacasa was contacted and it took them 4 days to send a service person, parts needed to be ordered, and we had to wash dishes all vacation. The washing machine works, but is very noisy. A/C was inconsistent - some rooms were very stuffy. There was no firewood as advertised, Vacasa denied that firewood was provided, and after 3 days, we received a small box with 7 pieces of wood. The lawn maintenance person was more helpful and brought a couple of armloads. While the house is well stocked with dishes, cutlery, utensils, be sure to bring your own dish towels, toilet paper, paper towels, and garbage bags. The website needs to be seriously updated - there are no hot tubs and if firewood is provided, it should be there at check in.

This home has an incredible amount of potential however we were not delivered the experience we had hoped for.

There was plenty of space but the home
Could have been a little cleaner. The carpet needs professional cleaning. Beautiful estate but need to be upkeep.

This is the 2nd time we stayed at the property. Location and amenities worked for our group. Problem is, is that we went for a college get together for the games to relax together at a house so we could BBQ and enjoy beverages without having to leave. As soon as we arrived, no internet service provided which also meant no TV as they run Roku. Tried for 4 DAYS to get this resolved. All I got was the runaround, promises of "local team resolving". No one ever contacted me back. I communicated with them 2-3 times a day and still no action. Even after checking out, no one has contacted me. This completely changed the outcome of the entire weekend as we now had to leave the house to watch the games, leaving behind the food and drink we brought, meaning additional costs and now people having to drive. The whole idea was to be together at a house and not have to leave. We were so disappointed that the weekend was ruined over something that could have been resolved in hours. I didn't feel there was any real action by Vrbo or the home owner to take the problem seriously or resolve it. All I got was the same "is there anything else we can do?" texts.

The perfect house and grounds to stage a memorable Bachelor Weekend, surrounded by spectacular golf courses and excellent deep sea fishing. Thank you for sharing your home and we will no doubt return in the future.

Spent three nights at the Brooklyn Estates to celebrate 50th birthdays - we were 5 couples. As others have said house needs some TLC. Biggest issues we had were - the oven was extremely dirty, only one oven worked (and for that one the door didn't shut all the way so getting to temp was challenging), and the fan did not work, and the burners were spotty. Griddle also did not work. We had not hot water the last day and half (warm at best for showers). Lots of flies/knats in the house. There was also someones underwear balled up in one of the closests - so suffice it to say cleaning people need to do a better job. A lot of pots / glasses were also dirty. Pool area was excellent and that is where we spent 95% of our time. That part was excellent and the company was awesome so dispite the house not living up to expectations we had a good time. I contacted the property mananger 5 times - several emails over the course of the time we were there. One person did come out and looked at the oven/stove agreed its was very dirty but couldn't really do anything to fix the issues - he did provide us firewood. Otherwise I just kept getting a standard response of we will look into it. Great size and potential but even after reading other reviews I reached out and was assured everything was in working order and would be good to go. I wouldn't stay here again.

The Fireplace outside was very nice. The house has wear, the kitchen is well equipped but the utensils and pots were dirty. TVs are nice but the ac/heat is inconsistent at best.

My wife’s birthday weekend was a overwhelming with all the thing’s going on on this property. No gas for oven / stove to cook, heat no working at all along with water flooding the upstairs bathroom that leaked through the ceiling into the kitchen all over the floor and on top of island , dishwasher…ect the worst… even had to leave earlier than supposed to due to everyone’s dissatisfaction. I’m still overwhelmed, whiting get some type of refund

We enjoyed our stay and met our criteria and perfect location for us. Property is in need of repair and cleaning could have been better. Assume the property is often used by large parties and wear is showing. Hot tub was broken. Had 4 engineers with us, downloaded manual to try and fix, but its needs expert repair. Pool as more liner tears in it that prevents it from holding enough water. Oven and vent hood have not been deep cleaned in a long time and caked in grease. Rugs, paint, exposed wires, broken (but functional) faucets, and typical wear throughout is showing. Provided what we needed, enjoyed ourselves, just needs some TLC to bring it up to the standard it can be.

Accommodated a large group. Clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend.

It's hard to write a dissatisfied review but as our stay went on, it just felt like more issues arose. Upon arrival, things seemed ok. The house did not smell. It seemed to be furnished well. I had emailed prior to arrival to confirm the status of the hot tub b/c I saw the one at the main house was not working properly and was assured it was fixed (or that we'd get some money refunded if it didn't, which to me, wasn't a real commitment to having it fixed even though it had been broken for some time). Here are our observations:
1. Someone came to look at the hot tub soon after our arrival. He started running it and said it was ok but the water was very cloudy and it wasn't warm. We never used it (just the one at the cottage, which was fine but not optimal)
2. THE FLIES! We were less offended by all the flies (though there were a lot) than we were by the fly paper in the house. There was one hanging in the kitchen and one in the back bedroom by the pool. Neither had been changed prior to our arrival so we walked in and saw old flypaper with dead insects stuck to it. the one in the bedroom was hanging literally above the bed. We would have expected it to be changed out before we got there.
3. The garbage cans were already half full by the time we got there. We then had no room for our remaining garbage. It clearly hadn't been taken out before our arrival
4. The propane tank was nearly empty the first time we used it. We had to drag the heavy one from the cottage to use. Someone did come by soon after I reached out about this but it was a nuisance.
5. The pool water level was low so the 2nd to last day of our day I texted to have someone look at it in the afternoon b/c we needed the water treated (the water line was below the filters and the water was getting cloudy). I didn't hear back so emailed around 9pm. I was then told I'd hear from someone in the morning. By ~10:30am I'd heard nothing and it was our last day so I called again. Someone came after noon and we couldn't swim until ~1pm so we lost a 1/2 day, the last day of our stay
6. Overall the house is good for a big group but needs lots of little fixes (shower faucet didn't work right, no temp control in the shower, not nearly enough pots/pans, wasps outside, etc.).
We had a great time b/c we were happy to see each other. The house is big and has a great pool and a lot of potential but it does need some work.

I was super excited about it. I read the reviews that weren't so great, but was hopeful for review issues to be taken care of. I was wrong.
This house was DIRTY. We were immediately hit the face with a pungent of odor of cat pee/litter as we entered. This stench was impossible to ignore, from the first day to the last. Guests were uncomfortable the whole time. You could not escapes stench. The listing specifically states that the house is pet free. A friend staying with us had a nasty allergic reaction the entirely of our stay. This is a HUGE issue. They were miserable the entire time. On top of that, no one was there to fix the root of the issue. I appreciate that we were given air fresheners and were reimbursed for purchasing air fresheners and allergy first aid, but this was simply a bandaid. The issue was not solved, and it did not make up for the guests that suffered and were miserable.
The next big thing was the hot tub was BROKEN, completely out of order. I don't know about you, but when I book a house with a pool and hit tub, I booked BECAUSE it has a hot tub and pool. We were told that we were supposed to be notified a head of our stay, but no such contact was made. We were offered a small refund for the hot tub, but this doesn’t make it better! We booked a house b/c of the promised amenities that were no longer available. Unacceptable. Yes, we’re aware the adjacent property has a hot tub. It’s not appropriate having paying guests walk along the road (day/night) to access the other property seeing as we were asked to not walk on the grass.
There were serval other things we noted with the house in addition to the stench/hot tub. The carpets/rugs were very dirty/stained. The pool was gross/dirty. Lights don’t work, and we could not easily determine switches, more labels would be helpful. Lights were broken, we replaced bulbs. There was a temperature delta between the house/rooms of 15 degrees, we could not make the temp the same throughout, rooms were extremely cold. Baking sheets were disgusting, we would expect the house to be cleaned, especially mid pandemic. There’s broken glass bulbs on the ground where people are barefoot.
This house as expensive and such a massive let down. The only redeeming factor was Imry, with Vacasa. She heard our frustrations & real tried to improve our experience.
The owner of the house has 8 properties. With this visit, I will absolutely stay away from all of their 7 other properties.

I’ll start by saying this is a great property. It’s a great space for a large group to gather. The families there loved the pool and the outdoor space. The proximity to the beach is a short drive and works well. It’s an awesome place and I would like to come back again. However, we did have issues that I would point out and hope Vacasa and property management would address. The biggest one being the timeliness and ability to communicate with property management regarding issues that come up.
The biggest issue was that two of the bedrooms had a smoke smell in them. One of them was very strong. This is really disappointing when the home is advertised as no smoking. When I contacted Vacasa after we arrived on Saturday they responded that they had forwarded the issue to local staff. Local staff didn’t contact us until Sunday evening and said he would drop off some spray to help. I asked when he would be there and he then said we could pick up some spray if we were out and they would reimburse us. I declined because we were in for the night and asked that they bring it. No one ever came. I contacted him again Monday night and let him know. He said someone would be there in a few minutes. They came and handed me one bottle of Febreeze the night before we were checking out.
The hot tub at the cottage was not warm when we arrived. Luckily, the man who checks the hot tubs just happened to come on the property the first night we were there and I ran out to the driveway and told him about the issue. He said he couldn’t fix it if something was broken but could try flipping the breaker. Fortunately, it then worked.
When we arrived at the property, a lot of the rooms were very warm. The window air conditioning units were all shut off and it felt like they had been for some time.
The grill at the estate wouldn’t heat above 200 degrees, so it prolonged our dinner prep and some people had to take things over to the cottage grill to speed things along.
There’s a bit of a bug problem: wasp(s)/flies in the estate. And I believe spiders in the cottage. They do provide a good number of fly swatters - but I wish something else could be done.
I know that no property is perfect. These are just issues I would hope to have fixed. Despite the issues, we enjoyed our stay, had a wonderful time, and would recommend it to others.

The house is beautiful and the outdoor living space is spectacular but there are some things that could be better. We were disappointed that the jacuzzi was not working at the main house, it was one of the reasons we selected this home. I specifically asked before arriving if the jacuzzis would be working and was told yes. The heat in the house was not working when we got there but someone came out and worked diligently to get that taken care of. The house does not have cable but most of the rooms (maybe all of them) had Roku sticks so you were still able to enjoy tv. Some of the furniture should be replaced. Work needs to be done on the smaller house for safety reasons. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

We had a great time with family at this home. It was welcoming and had plenty of room for everyone to be together and to have privacy too. The pool kept us all swimmingly happy!!

Our family immensely enjoyed themselves! Perfect for a family vacation, the pool, patio area, and outdoor basketball area was enjoyed every day. My only suggestion is the brush around the playground area be cut back, it’s taking over and unfortunately the kids couldn’t enjoy it as much as they would have liked. We would definitely go back!! Five star vacation!!!

Advertised as a 6 bedrooms at the main house, only 5 bedrooms. TV's did not work and did not come to fix. The swamp pool was unusable, I called Monday morning and it never got fixed during my stay. If the property manager did a walk through Sunday before check-in, you would have known the issues of the home

We loved our stay at the Brooklyn Estate and Cottage. We actually had our whole Bridal Party stay there was part of their gift for being in our wedding. We had a minor maintenance issues with a door handle that was fixed right away. The trash picked didn’t come when supposed to but we think bc of the potential tropical storm
on the area but property manager was great about helping getting trash picked up. The place was clean and everyone had a great time. The only issue we had was with flies. They were everywhere. In the house outside the house we couldn’t get away from them. May want to consider adding something around the house to keep flies away. And the house is stock with random utensils and pots and pans and missing most basic needs. Like the pot to the coffee pot was missing. Couldn’t find a baking sheet but could make a bunt cake or ice cream cone shaped cupcakes. Just random but those were just small things and we made due and had a great time.

We loved the house but it was missing some common things like a kitchen broom, plastic dishes or cups since there was a pool, and there were a number of things broken such as the disposal, panel of dishwasher, sink panel, one hot tub, microwave outlet not working, broken glass out by playhouse, etc. We also kept noticing a smell when we sat outside under the pool covered patio near the refrigerator. On the last day our tall son-in-law noticed a dead bird on the shelf by the outside refrigerator. Someone needs to deal with that because we didn’t touch it. We put the trash out Thursday like we were supposed to but it wasn’t picked up. Both houses and the pool were great spaces for our family but it would have been more enjoyable if it was kept up better.

Brought my whole family for my 65th birthday. It was great, the kids Loved the pool!
The property fit the whole family, lots of room, the pool was great! Had a couple little glitches with sheets but they took care of it right away. Cleaning supplies we’re in shortage but we managed. Great stay!

We stayed at this house for a family vacation to Ocean City. We were on the phone daily to have things taken care of from( a green swimming pool )to( having the previous groups garbage picked up) to( no propane the first day to cook with) to (the outside fridge not working). If your planning a stay here be ready to swat a lot of flys in the house. The actual house is beautiful but for the price it didn't meet expectations from anyone in our group.

The highlight was the pool/hot tub area. That was a great meeting place. The house was in ok shape and the bedrooms were fine. The cottage was pretty rustic and the place needed some maintenance, but overall it served our purposes and it was quiet and close to our golf locations.
