The Red Barn Cottage is located within walking distance of the historic, Victorian village of Ferndale. The Cottage is a charming, separate studio with a private entrance, gated patio, full kitchen and bathroom. Enjoy exploring Ferndale, the nearby Pacific Ocean, majestic redwoods, and lush farmlands. The fairgrounds are only one block away and downtown Ferndale is 4 1/2 blocks away. This space is perfect for a couple or a family with one child. We have a folding bed, if needed, for your child. A small dog is considered with approval and an additional $50 nonrefundable pet fee.
The Cottage is a separate studio with a private entrance, gated and fenced patio, full kitchen and bathroom. It has a homey atmosphere with all the amenities of home, including a queen size comfy bed, WiFi and Cable TV. Your comfort is our top priority! Breakfast is in the refrigerator, ready for you to prepare and a bottle of wine awaits you. A Keurig coffeemaker and quality coffee pods along with complementary biscotti is setup for you. We try to think of everything to make sure that your stay with us is relaxing and memorable!

The Red Barn Cottage is absolutely wonderful! It’s beautifully decorated and the owners have stocked it with everything you could possibly need and more. It was very clean, quiet and comfortable with many special touches such as fresh cut roses, wine and comfy robes.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Red Barn Cottage in Ferndale. Nicely decorated and very clean and comfortable. Fresh roses on the table - that was so welcoming! The hosts provided muffins, eggs, milk, coffee and other items - much appreciated! A very special experience in beautiful Ferndale.

Red Barn Cottage was fantastic. Upon arrival we quickly saw Lynne had anticipated our every need. The Cottage was filled with small but thoughtful "extras". We wanted to spend time with the Redwoods and this location was perfect for our daily adventures. The cottage, cozy but not too small. We had dreaded the idea of a hotel for multiple days since we had already been travelling over a week. The cottage allows us to settle, unpack, and reorganize in a very lovely spot and great value. We will definitely return.

This was our second stay at the Red Barn Cottage and it didn't disappoint! It was as lovely with the attention to detail that we experienced the first time. Fresh eggs, homemade pumpkin choc chip muffins and all the fixings for breakfasts were at the ready. We were pampered in this serence and quiet getaway cottage. Thank you, Lynne and Lee, for the beautiful anniversary flowers and card! This cottage is truly a gem!

We really enjoyed our stay (3 nights)! Our hosts provided everything you could need and then some. The location was perfect for exploring Ferndale and the surrounding areas. We would highly recommend this adorable cottage and we will definitely come back to this special place next time we are up this way!

Spotlessly clean, a well-furnished kitchen, soft towels, comfortable bed and little niceties like candies, pod coffee choices and a bottle of wine on the counter. I was pleasantly surprised and would return in a heartbeat.

We had a wonderful stay at the Red Barn Cottage. Perfectly located in quiet neighborhood and walking distance to town. What a hidden gem! The cottage is fully stocked with everything you need, and more. And so nice they welcome pets too! We will definitely plan on staying here again next time in Ferndale.

We came to town for a dog sporting event, the property is in walking distance to the fair grounds, which was the venue we were attending. The space is perfect for two people, clean and completely stocked with snacks, coffee, breakfast items. The space is spotless and bed was super comfortable. We loved ambience of the town!

I have never felt so comfortable and safe anywhere away from home as I did this past week at The Red Barn Cottage , so clean and so well stocked with such a warm feeling in a picturesque setting of Ferndale ,,, I can't say enough good things about this cute little place and I can't wait come back ... We loved staying here for many reasons: great value, spacious unit, well stocked kitchen for cooking, spotless, laundry machines right next door, friendly host and close to town. As an added bonus (and greatly appreciated), the host supplied breakfast items, a bottle of wine and various snacks. I hope to return!

This was absolutely the best place we could have chosen to stay in Ferndale. A very quaint setting and an extremely comfortable place that had everything (and I do mean everything!) we needed. We got to the point of it being a game: there couldn't possibly be one of those... Band-aids, snack bag clip, screw driver, etc... we just could not come up with any item that we needed that was not provided in this cottage. Exceptionally clean and beautifully furnished in an old-fashioned Victorian/farmhouse style with fresh flowers throughout and lots of goodies in the kitchen. We loved this place and will be definitely recommending it to others! Thank you Lynne!

Best place to stay at in ferndale, it was so cute had all the amenities and then some, very private, the owners live next door and greet you as you come on the property, bed was very comfortable, shower had good water pressure and the private patio, this is a place we will stay at again and we will tell out friends as well, thank you again for a wonderful stay. What a sweet stay we had here! Great location, very attractive and well-stocked cottage. My 8-year-old granddaughter, 13-year-old dog and I all loved it. Lynne is super attentive and friendly, and very devoted to the comfort of her guests. Hope we can return!

The private patio is protected from the wind, so we enjoyed it often, in spite of the cool weather and wind. The pet-friendly property is close enough to downtown Ferndale to walk. Ferndale and environs themselves are lovely too, with great restaurants, beaches and forests nearby. The unit has all you need to cook. It is small, but not too small.

We loved staying here! Everything from the light switches to the tv remotes were labeled with instructions/ helpful hints which is always nice when staying in an unfamiliar place. It was very clean, and there were fresh flowers in vases! They breakfast accommodations were great, and the location is right next to town. We highly recommend staying here if you’re coming to the Ferndale area.

This quaint cottage offered peace, quiet and rest as we celebrated a very special birthday! Very comfortable bed with soft layers and plush pillows. We were pampered in every way! Fresh cut flowers and Meyer lemons from our hosts' yard. Nothing was overlooked and every detail considered to pamper and welcome us to Ferndale! We HIGHLY recommend this cottage to all who need rejuvenation and rest! Wishing all the best for these wonderful hosts!

I loved everything about my stay with Lynne and Lee! If you are heading to the Ferndale area I HIGHLY recommend staying at their place. The check-in process was super easy self service and they even made sure the kitchen was stocked with necessities and food. They truly went above and beyond as hosts and I will rave about them to anyone and everyone!

The cottage was beautiful. The owner's attention to detail in providing eggs, condiments for cooking, wonderful soaps and shampoo's, even robes that were so soft made my husband and I feel cozy and comfortable. The location was perfect for walking our dog and enjoying the cows and pasture land. Also, the ocean is so close. It is a great place to stay!!

This place was so clean and well maintained. The patio area was lovely. Plenary of towels. Washer/Dyer easily accessible. All the things you would need to cook and even some food basics like eggs, milk, butter, filtered water, and Kureg. There were even fresh flowers and a bottle of wine. I highly recommend this place if your coming to this area.

Phenomenal stay/host! I’m a clean freak and could not find a flaw. Instructions for everything were clear, well placed and did not deter from the adorable French provincial decor. Lynn thought of everything and more! Muffins in the freezer, eggs in the fridge, little snacks, robes in the wardrobe, fresh flowers on the table and in the bathroom, more than enough bathroom linens, comfy bed and sofa…quiet location. Appreciate the extra effort required to disinfect. The perfect getaway! If there was a hall of fame for super hosts, this on would be in it!

Red Barn Gets 5 Stars!

This was the most personal experience we have had. Without intrusion our hosts thought of every need. There were sweet smelling roses, wine, breakfast fare, candies and cookies. We had our own patio and a washing machine and dryer. The decor was granny cottage and so much fun. As we are in our mid seventies and eighties we have decided no more 12 day road trips but we ended on a high note!

Stayed here on my own for the weekend to attend a sewing retreat in Fortuna. So charming, comfortable, and clean. Has everything you could possibly need and more. Home away from home. Walking distance to town. Private. It is what you see in the pictures s and communicating with Lynne was easy , if needed. She made sure you have all you need. My husband joined me for the last part of the week and enjoyed the place as much as I did. I hope to return in the future
