About this cabin rental
It's a low-bank beachfront house with beautiful decks for relaxation.
This is a unique 5 story property. Lots of windows and decks are great for enjoying the views. While the house is spacious and comfortable, the maximum of 4 guests is firm (due to limited septic capacity & neighborhood regulations) and the house is best enjoyed by adults and older children. There are no child safety features inside or on any of the decks or stairs. We only offer the 2 king beds, no additional hide-a-beds, etc. The house has a VERY open feel. The only interior doors are on the bathrooms.
Ground Floor = locked storage
2nd Floor = bedroom with king bed and 3/4 bath
3rd Floor = kitchen, living, and dining rooms, 1/2 bath
4th Floor = open master suite loft with king bed and master bath
5th Floor = small loft - currently empty
Complete kitchen with modern stainless steel appliances, outdoor gas bbq grill, big screen TV on main floor, 2nd flat screen tv in master bedroom and wifi. Water softener and reverse osmosis purification for drinking water. Large soaking tub and shower in master suite. Lower level bedroom has it own private bath and shower. The cabin itself is finished in knotty pine and timbers for a unique cabin feel. The cabin is west facing for spectacular sunsets from any of the 3 large deck areas.
Please note because of the close proximity to the beach with our small fresh water well we are unable to provide laundry services. We sincerely appreciate your efforts in the conservation of fresh water.
The beach is spectacular. The bay is designated as a wildlife preserve (Owned by The Whidbey/Camano Land Trust) where migrating birds pass through every year. Miles of quiet beach to walk, some sandy, some rocky, always lots of driftwood to check out. The tide fluctuates dramatically so when the tide is very low, you are able to walk and explore across the entire bay. Bring your stand-up paddle board or use our 2 sit-on-top kayaks to explore even more of this beautiful secluded bay. A fantastic and easy get away. It's a wonderful San Juan Island cabin, accessed without requiring a ferry ride. 15 minutes from Interstate 5.
It’s decorated in a comfortable and cozy beach style. You can relax the minute you arrive.
PLEASE NOTE: THERE ARE NO BEACH FIRES ALLOWED AND NO SMOKING INSIDE OR OUTSIDE ON THIS PROPERTY! FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN LOSS OF ALL DEPOSITS!

My husband and I have stayed at this coastal hide-away several times. The large kitchen is set up for cooking and baking (sharp knives!) with a well stocked coffee/tea bar. The king mattress in the loft is a Sleep Number so very comfy for both of us. The host accommodates my need for scent free linens/towels.
We enjoy watching the tides and wildlife in the bay from the high viewpoint the house provides. Eagles fly by the windows. It's on a quiet little dead end street and you can pop over to Stanwood or walk the trails at the numerous Camano Island parks. We are very happy to have come across this unique property.

Large house with beautiful views and a cozy setup. The master bedroom upstairs was like a retreat with is soaking tub. House was well appointed and clean. Enough space for 4 adults to have privacy.

This was the first of three houses we rented in WA before our 4-nights in Olympic National Park. We selected this house because of the proximity to the water, the views, the deck, and the quiet location. It did not disappoint. We made good use of the kitchen and enjoyed simple but delicious meals at the house, and ate every meal on the deck. We walked along the shore at low tide and also visited the nearby state parks. We appreciated the wealth of information about the area that the host provided. The bay that the house is on is a hoot -- it almost completely drains during low tide. We did not use the kayaks but were thankful for the advice to check the tide table before venturing out. The house is bright, the beds are comfortable, the outdoor grill worked well and the kitchen is well stocked. Although our stay was short (only 3 nights), we left feeling relaxed, content, and well rested.

Tired and hot
We were aware that there were several levels and stairs to climb and being over 70 , all4 of us, we were exhausted afterwards!
Would not recommend if having any mobility issues!

The best place for tranquility
We came in April 2022 for a vacation to see as much of Washington as possible. Camano Island is perfect for visiting all areas north of Seattle. From whale watching on Anacortes, The Tulip Festival, and driving through the Cascades, we enjoyed coming back to the beech house for relaxing and resting. The house is beautiful and comfortable. It is nestled on a quiet road and is perfect for tranquil solitude. The views from the large windows on every side are beautiful. The beds were extremely comfortable. We had unlimited coffee for early morning warming as we did not expect to have snow in April. The location is not but an hour away from Seattle; in no traffic. After landing at Seatac and driving through the traffic of Seattle, we were happy to stay in the area to eat. Jimmy's Pizza in Stanwood is fantastic.

The house was very comfortable. I LOVED sipping my coffee and watching the waterfowl in Livingston Bay in the very quiet mornings. I would absolutely go back.
There are almost no blinds on the windows, which takes some getting used to if you're wanting optimal privacy. In fairness, though didn't try, I think it'd be pretty hard to see inside the house. On the plus side, it allows for lots of natural light, which we loved!

Lovely, comfortable, well-equipped home
A gorgeous home in a lovely quiet neighborhood with beach access. Great views of the waters, fantastic well-equipped kitchen with all sorts of good things in the pantry, comfortable beds. A great stay on Camano!

Peaceful and comfortable
We loved the stay here. The home is in a perfect location, well appointed, tidy, and had everything we could have needed. The neighbors were very friendly, too. Loved watching all of the birds, as well as otters out in the water.

Take a breath! Ahhhhh
3 adult busy adult women looking to reconnect. Reconnect with each other. Reconnect with nature and reconnect with quiet.
We loved this property for the open concept. Yet the rooms are placed on opposite sides of the home. We were able to cook in the well stocked kitchen. The morning coffee views were snuggly and cozy. Afternoon reads on the many balconies.
We walked along the beach and learned about the tides and local birds. We appreciated the binoculars.
Talked to the lovely woman next door and other neighbors on my walk.
The Camano Island town square area is so quant and sweet. Great coffee, bakery, lunch foods and then a tap house. We sat outside on picnic tables and listened to live music. Also visited the farmers market. Loved it!
Lovely home with everything you need to reset!

A Seaside Oasis
I have stayed at numerous short term rentals over the years, and I believe this one was the cleanest! The house’s tall stature, large windows and sky lights make you feel as if you are living in a deluxe, comfortable, light filled treehouse, and the wood interior is very warm and cozy.
The kitchen has a wonderful, spacious layout.
If you are a light sleeper, and or have any difficulty with stairs, you will want to claim the downstairs bedroom which has it’s own bathroom. I personally loved the master suite loft bedroom with its own spa-like bathroom with a jetted tub!
I am familiar with Livingston Bay so I planned accordingly for our water activities to take place during the high tides. Fortunately we had high tide before noon every day and then again in the evening, after watching a glorious sunset we went for a paddle with the kayaks, including an evening swim in the warm, shallow bay!
I definitely plan to stay here again.

Camano Island BnB
This home was lovely. Views were phenomenal and beds were super comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with dishware, cooking implements, flatware, seasonings, etc. The only downfall are the steps. As I was celebrating my 70th birthday, the number of steps made it a bit difficult. The property manager was great to deal with and was very responsive to my inquiries.

Beautiful Gem!
We were looking forward to our stay and were definitely not disappointed. The accommodations were as indicated and very clean. The rooms were very comfortable. The views of the water and surrounding area were a definite plus! Communication was prompt and the property manager was very accommodating. While we enjoyed the property, it is less likely that someone who has a problem with stairs may enjoy it as much. We would highly recommend this property for others!

Perfect social distanced getaway
Our family of 4 really enjoyed the house, the beautiful views, and the beach. It is on a very quiet road so saw very few people the week we were there. I would recommend it for a quiet, low key vacation.
Each day, I loved having the entire front of the house's view of the sunset on the water while ate dinner or read a book on the sofa. Had the beach to ourselves for family walks and rock collecting. Saw lots of birds feeding on the low tide mud. Saw 5 bald eagles playing together. The kids loved playing on the huge driftwood piles. We intended to kayak but never went because the low tide was most of the day. You would need to get out in the water early in the morning.
I enjoyed the house more and more as the week progressed. Appreciated the beautiful wood structure and huge windows. The front deck and entry stairs have recently been refinished. There are alot of stairs in this house so you will be climbing levels alot. And you have to get used to the lack of curtains but private enough to get dressed in the bedrooms. My kids enjoyed bubble baths in the huge jetted tub. Cable and TV worked well. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need for cooking family meals. Even a rice cooker and crock pot. We never used the BBQ grill. Made good use of the hot water pot for tea. Both beds were comfortable but it did take a couple nights to find my sleep number. The remote control ran out of batteries but we found a pack of batteries in a kitchen drawer! So we never needed to drive out for anything. Everything we needed was right there.
The manager, Jen, responded quickly when we had any questions about the house. Lots of thoughtful touches like a blanket for the sofa, binoculars for bird watching, extra heaters in the bathrooms and a telescope. We felt very comfortable and at home. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Cheerful
Rare listing that's better in real life than the pictures. If you have bad knees or for any reason difficulty with stairs, not for you. Otherwise, great place, particularly good kitchen; recommended.

Great stay, beautiful views.
We had an amazing stay. The beach is a short walk across the street. The house is amazing; views from every single floor. Our kids loved it. The house is stocked with every possible small appliance, pantry is rich with spices, and there are many board games to choose from. We will be back soon for sure. Thank you for sharing you wonderful house with us!

This is a unique house with several levels and an open floor plan. The natural light is amazing given the huge windows. The kitchen is well appointed and stocked with pantry items. The bedroom feels like being in a treehouse, although as others have noted there are no shades. Beach access is right across the narrow street and we enjoyed walks there during low tide. House was clean and followed strictest cleaning protocols for COVID-19 as outlined by VRBO.

Great place
This was just what we needed for a 3-day weekend. No shortage of wildlife sightings, including a pair of eagles. We enjoyed the quiet and just a short walk down the beach (when the tide was out) produced a great view of the mountain. Thank you for sharing your home.

Very nice property, loved the cabin like feel. Had everything we needed in kitchen and bath, heating worked great. I would just mentioned that because neither of the bedrooms actually have doors, you can really hear everything. It creates a nice open feel, but not so good for privacy, even though one is on the very top floor, and the other on the very bottom. It was very convenient to have a bathroom in each bedroom, and it is well design that way. Mattresses on the king size beds are rather lumpy, and not so supportive or comfortable. Overall, this is a great property, the owner is very responsive and helpful, the location right on the beach, and the views are quite wonderful.

Stayed here over Thanksgiving weekend and it was a wonderful time. As it was just my husband and I, we didn't care that the space was very open (no doors on either of the bedrooms). We enjoyed the soaking tub in the master bathroom and the well stocked kitchen was perfect for cooking all of our meals. There were spices and condiments aplenty (from ginger to apple cider vinegar and soy sauce), but strangely, no granulated sugar. We're pretty elaborate cooks, and we were able to roast meat, make and blend soup, make waffles, roll out crust for pie and steam sticky rice all with the supplies provided. I really appreciated the kitchen. Loved having the slow cooker and the heart shaped waffle maker. We used the binoculars for bird watching and the first aid kit was handy for a bandaid. The pillows were a little thin, and I never found my comfortable sleep number, but we loved the living room with the windows looking out into the bay. Be aware that if you are sensitive sleeper who wakes up to light, you'll definitely want to pack an eye mask, since almost none of the windows have blinds. The stairs up to the main level also seemed like they might be a little dangerous in the rain, but we just walked them slowly. We loved being able to stroll along the water in the morning. This was a perfect house for a quiet get away.

Amazing getaway with spectacular views!
Fabulous property located a stone's throw from the beach. Quiet beach neighborhood with all necessities a short drive away. Home is a very open concept with many windows and patios. We appreciated the tub, but did not have a chance to enjoy it. The outdoor gas grill and gas stove was very helpful as we had no power one night. Thank goodness for extra blankets! I enjoyed the property very much. A partition would be nice to cover the room upon entering the main door. Would love to bring our family here on another visit. Thanks for sharing your home!

Lovely view, a bit run down
We enjoyed the house and location. It was hard to tell from the listing, but the house was not in the greatest shape. When you arrive, you have to pick between the very rickety stairs on the right side of the house, or walking through a wobbly stone path full or vegetation. Both were hard with bags. In the house, the flooring was very damaged, and it squeaked with every step. On the main floor, it also slanted measurably toward the window wall. In the upstairs bedroom, the floors were so squeaky that we woke each other up every time we got up to use the bathroom. Otherwise, it was pretty nice. The building is very open, and that wasn’t an issue for us, as there were just two of us, but the bedrooms were both open to the floor above/below, so there wasn’t much privacy, especially with sound. The kitchen was well stocked and had lots of appliances.

Very quiet place
The cabin house was in a very clean and updated condition.
2 kayaks and vests were provided. Although, you will have to carry them to the beach, which is located across the street.
The beach has a very shallow water, so you have to check tides' times very carefully to kayak.
Kitchen pantry had lot's of staff like oil, spices, etc. Very bright house, too. There are 2 lounge chairs on the beach, but you will not be able to swim, just relax and sun tan.

Unique Home with a Great View
The layout of this home is unusual, but designed to capture the beautiful view. Everything we needed was provided, and the additional bonus of the use of two kayaks was a fun diversion we did not expect.

Beautiful views and everything you could need for a comfortable vacation.
Entry through flowers was a little treacherous for seniors, slipped on the rocks. Maybe cut back some of the foliage and flatten the path a little more. Very hot during the day as there is no air conditioning, kind of forced you to go out sight see and really cools down at night. Great for sleeping after 9pm.Everything else was great

Beautiful and peaceful location
Our stay could not have been more perfect for a quiet getaway. My husband and I needed some time to unwind and relax from work, family and everything going on in the world. The house was clean, well stocked with kitchenware and linens. The view was breathtaking! It did take some time to get used to all the windows that did not have curtains or blinds. You are pretty exposed. The master bed in the loft, was AMAZING! My sleep number is 30 and my husbands is 40 LOL. We are now looking into getting a sleep number bed.
Thank you for letting us enjoy your lovely home!

Peace and quiet
The home was lovely and comfortable, and fully stocked with anything and everything one might need.
The mattress upstairs was unfortunately sort of sprung on one side, so if you sleep close to the edge of the bed you are at some risk of rolling off!
Other than that small issue, we loved the house, the view, and the island.
