Just 21 miles from historic Charleston, Kiawah Island is nestled in semi-tropical wilderness, picturesque marshes, and ten miles of wide, unspoiled, golden beaches.

Our NEWLY RENOVATED, lovely cottage on the cul-de-sac in Sparrow Pond is conveniently located in West Beach with only a seven-minute walk to the ocean, five minute walk to the private pool, and Cougar Point's beautiful new clubhouse (includes a great casual restaurant)is only a quick one minute walk and is one of the five golf courses available for you to play on the island. Enjoy a leisurely three mile bike ride to Freshfields marketplace past the beautiful marsh where you will can stroll the many shops and restaurants and enjoy the outdoor movie nights. Our renters often comment that we have the BEST LOCATION on the island!

Do not worry about bringing anything but your clothes and food. We provide beach towels and beach chairs too! Bike rentals are available at discounted rates and can be waiting for you as your arrive and picked up after you depart to cruise the beach or the 30+ miles of biking trails around the island. Be sure to make time for sunsets on the beach or perhaps you would prefer our wrap-around deck which lends PRIVACY and encourages quiet downtime. WARNING! The fountains in the lagoon behind us are mesmerizing and might cause afternoon naps!!!! Rental guests must park in three parking spaces underneath the cottage in the driveway. Please No parking in front of the cottage on the street.

Our family of five had a great stay at this property for a summer week vacation. It’s in a great location on Kiawah island, short walks to a pool and the beach, and a short bike ride to the nature center and night heron park. We really enjoyed it!

Sandy has a great location just behind the main gate walking distance to the cougar point clubhouse. It is about a 5 -7 minute walk to the beach and a 2 minute bike ride. The view is perfect and you can hear the waves on the deck at night. Would recommend ! Well stocked home easy check in and Sandy responds very quickly to any and all messages.

It's a perfect place for families to enjoy Kiawah. We've come to Kiawah every year for 16 years and this is the best equipped place we have ever rented. I'm almost hesitant to leave a good review because I don't want everybody to reserve this place before I do next year!

We had a wonderful stay. The beach is a 7-8 minute walk through a beautiful, lush, green canopy. The pool is even closer. Chairs, beach toys, and a wagon are thoughtfully provided, along with plush beach towels. There’s a lovely deck for grilling. You can hear the ocean. The house was cozy and inviting. The kitchen was fully stocked and included the most complete spice cabinet and kitchen that I have ever seen in a rental! It made cooking family meals a pleasure. Communication was clear and directions were so helpful and complete. We had a wonderful experience. Would recommend to all!

The house was really nice, great space for a family of four adults. It was relaxing and quiet with beautiful views. Just a quick walk to the beach or pool. Since the community is private the beach was basically empty, which was a nice change from the beaches at home. I’d definitely recommend any property of Sandy’s. She was easy too communicate with and made sure we were enjoying our stay. Check-in and out were extremely easy. Having all linens, including beach towels provided was an added bonus. The furniture was comfortable. Only thing I’d recommend is possibly changing out the TV for a larger one in the sunroom. Otherwise everything was great.

Beautiful lagoon view (and glimpse of ocean) was very much enjoyed on the private, spacious deck. The layout of the house was great for family time, especially the sunroom and open kitchen! A walk or bike ride to the beach and pool was the icing on the cake! A wonderful Vrbo experience and memorable week at Kiawah!

This was our 14th vacation as a family at Kiawah. First time in Sparrow Pond and the location was terrific. Close proximity to the beach (we actually accessed Boardwalk #5), and quick trips made to FreshFields Village, Rosebank Farms and the General Store. You can hear the Atlantic from the house, which is always a plus. Sandy is a gracious host, and easy to contact. We had a terrific week.

My family and I had a ball staying at Sandy’s beach house! It was very comfortable and even had a few toys for my two year old! We were grateful for the beach wagon and chairs! The listing is very accurate, and I thought it was even more lovely in person! The kitchen is stocked with all essentials, and the sheets were super comfy. I loved lounging on the deck during nap time! I highly recommend this property for your beach week!

Our stay has been delightful! We were so appreciative of how our host communicated with us and kept us informed of conditions during the hurricane time. She was outstanding! The access to the beach was great, the cottage was so comfortable for all of us, and it was very welcoming. We would highly recommend this host and cottage and would love to return again ourselves!!

We stayed here a month. House is as shown on site. Clean, beds are comfortable. Great location, a short walk to the beach. Based on what we DIDN’T see, pest control program is effective (I’m picky - worked for a manufacturer of insecticides). For these reasons, we would definitely return. Note - grill is not gas, it’s charcoal.

This property is amazing. They have everything you need, so well stocked! Quick walk away from the beach or the pool, and a short drive to shopping and restaurants. The beds were super comfortable, great place to stay!

Property layout and location was very accommodating for our family of 4 adults and two grandchildren 4 and 7. The location with pond directly behind rear deck was beautiful. We both walked and biked to the beach. We saw various cranes, pelicans, gators, and even a few dolphins during our stay. We went there for the beach, and it was awesome!! The water was warm, and you could walk out very far in the ocean before it got deep. The beach was not crowded, and there was a lot of it at low tide. Sandy made the entire rental process so easy! This cozy cottage was the perfect size for our family of four, but could absolutely accommodate more people with room to spare. The property is very clean and well maintained. We have never stayed on this part of the island, but we were thrilled with the location! The cottage is a stone’s throw from Fresh Fields shopping center, and only about 45 minutes from downtown Charleston. I’m hesitant to say any more good things, because I want to keep this rental as the island’s best kept secret :) We will definitely be returning!

This was our first time to Kiawah Island. The cottage was perfect for my family and the location was superb. The cottage provided everything we needed from beach towels to beach chairs. The grounds were lush and really beautiful. Lots of beautiful birds around. Beach access was close and the beach is magnificent. We would definitely come back and stay at the cottage. Spent a lot of time at Fresh Fields right up the road. Very convenient for shopping and restaurants. This was a 5 star vacation. Thank you for sharing this beautiful space with us.

The house and owners were very inviting. It was as if we were spending time with friends rather than at a rental. The location is ideal for enjoying the island or for a quick getaway off island. Convenient to golf, the beach, or just the nature trail next to the pond. Sunrises over the pond from the deck or sunroom were a great start to the day.

Loved staying at this Thrasher Court property ! Inviting home with so many amenities provided ! Sandie was amazing to work with - answered any questions promptly & was very accommodating to our requests .. Beach , golf , pool all within minutes of walking around this beautiful West Beach area .. Ate at Cougar Point, Turtle Beach and Osprey Point clubhouses and all were delicious ! Freshfields shopping area was minutes away and fun ! Will def return to this property - it had it all !!

Excellent location of this lovely Cottage located on a pond with great views off the back porch perfect for Hot Chocholate and a good book! One of the 5 Golf Clubhouses/driving range right next door! Amazing bike paths right here around the many ponds and under the forest canopy makes for the perfect Nature getaway. Enjoyed the large well appointed open kitchen which had all the plateware, pots, pans, spices one could need. Was able to bake fresh dinner rolls to go along with our meals. Internet access was very fast! Even had many beach chairs, beach umbrellas and a charcoal grill outside! Would come again!!! Thank you for a very relaxing stay at your Cottage!

Stayed 6 nights in Oct '21 as a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids); our first time visiting South Carolina. Property is as described/pictures; we appreciated the towels/beach items, comfy beds, ceiling fans throughout and eat-in island in the kitchen. Loved having the beach just a ~5min walk away. We explored the Charleston area a few days ~30-40 min away depending on traffic and enjoyed all it had to offer. Owner was responsive and welcoming in all correspondences ~ great experience and first visit to Kiawah/Charleston!

Sandy was incredibly helpful during the check-in process and provided thoughtful recommendations. The location of the property is a 6 minute walk from the beach overlooking a pond with views of the sunrise. I would recommend giving this rental a try for a relaxing stay at Kiawah!
