A floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace includes a cavernous hearth for roaring wood fires and rustic mantel filled with antiques. Two deep leather chairs look out over the wall of windows to Olema Valley, one of the most abundant bird-watching locales on the coast.
Stroll past the front FOYER with twig love-seat for two and antique bridge lamps into the expansive FAMILY ROOM. Another floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace caps the room, alongside a 55' HDTV complete with Internet streaming options. Fabulous, spacious, well appointed, beautiful place, we ate and went on beach walks: Drakes's, Limantour, Heart's Desire, and many other local walks. A lovely house and a lovely vacation. Wildlife everywhere (baby quail!!).

We are seniors and still quite mobile, but folks staying here need to know there are alot of stairs.front porch deck is very wet/slippery in the morning.
Kitchen well-equipped,although never could find cutting board/s,never could figure out oven(directions would be nice, esp.if it's convection)
Good location,close to good hiking

I was drawn by the location, architecture, spaciousness and interior design of this home and it did not disappoint! Ralph Lauren country vibe! The house was very comfortable and clean with big, beautiful beds & baths upstairs and picture windows throughout. The living spaces were charming and the garage was a game room of sorts! 👌 The area is just beautiful with plenty of hikes & beaches. Small town but the restaurants and markets they do have were great. Found a few Christmas gifts in town. All in all, just what the doctor ordered!

West Marin is incredible, and Laura’s residence is perfectly located to enjoy all the area has to offer. It’s also comfy, well appointed (with a great kitchen), architecturally interesting, and inviting. We’d love to come back.

We really enjoy our stays at Fox Lodge for many reasons, including being a close drive from the East Bay yet removed from all the hustle and bustle, a quiet location close to beaches, trees, and wildlife, and a spacious, clean, and beautiful home. Laura is a caring host and quick to respond to any question we might have. A wonderful place to relax or hike, play games like ping pong and air hockey, and go to great restaurants nearby.

This property is the nicest place I’ve ever stayed in the Point Reyes area, simply luxurious! Very large and spacious, many areas/seating areas to chose from. The crown jewel is the master bedroom with a beautiful view. The kitchen is truly fully stocked for all the cooking that you would want to do! Stayed as a multi-generational family and everybody was comfortable. Easy check in and good communication.

Fox Lodge is a great place for gathering extended family/friends--plenty of room to spread out and lots of activities (air hockey, pingpong, swings, toys, board games). 4 bedrooms, family room, gaming garage, living room, and two dining spaces, as well as a deck. Perfectly located to easily get to all nearby trails and beaches. Well appointed kitchen, laundry room and bathrooms. My grandchildren loved it, and so did all the adults.

Loved it!
The house fit our family of five very well. My three teenage boys and husband and I all enjoyed the Foosball and ping pong tables i the garage.
The well equipped kitchen was large and an enjoyable place to cook meals.
The lovely and quiet location was central to Pt Reyes National Seashore. We saw quail, wild turkeys and deer roam around the house. It was only a 10 min drive to the kayak rental location.
We hope to return one day soon!

Great Getaway from the Everyday
My wife and I are repeat visitors to Fox Lodge as we can't think of a better place to relax, unwind, and enjoy nature so close to the busy Bay Area. The house is beautiful, spacious, and cozy. The surroundings green and close to the beach, with wildlife like deer and various types of birds large and small easily observable from the home. The area is refreshingly quiet yet close to Point Reyes and other neat little towns and great places to eat. Laura is quick to respond if we have a question and keeps the house well stocked and in excellent condition. Thank you Laura for sharing your beautiful, comfy home. We had a wonderful time.

Roomy and comfy home
Had an amazing stay with a group of 8 women and 1 infant. House was roomy and cozy with an amazing kitchen and beautiful bathrooms (especially the master shower). Beds were very cozy and nice sheets for a BNB. Our group fit great with all the table space and couch/floor space. Laura, the host, was very nice and even let us have an early check in which we were so grateful for!
The outside could use some love though. We spent time out on the deck but there were soo many spider webs on the windows and just around. Expected in the location of home (foresty) but not that many. The deck was not very good for bare feet or crawling baby. Old and splintery.
We loved the location! So close to everything, yet quiet and private:)
We had a great stay and would recommend for large groups.

Awesome Retreat!
A group of girlfriends and a few kids needed a spot to be together for a long overdue girls weekend!
I found this rental and it totally fit for us! The sitting area in the kitchen became home base for us to hang out and chat between air hockey matches! We loved the rental.
Only challenges were the bbq is not propane and we didnt have charcoal. The dishwasher seemed like it was falling out of the space. But everything else was beyond our expectations! Thank you for allowing us to be at your lovely home!

Cozy
We had a wonderful time here! Home is clean, cozy and well stocked. Location is beautiful and peaceful. So many things to do from cheese tasting to hiking, and the beach. We all enjoyed playing ping pong and air hockey. The home is huge. We welcomed the ability to go off to different parts of the home for alone time.

Elegant guest home
This spacious home with 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, and 2 large sitting rooms worked well for our multi-generational family getaway. We enjoyed cooking meals in the large open kitchen with a dining room on one side and a breakfast nook on the other. The house is on a quiet road with a lot of space between properties, and it's a short, easy drive to Point Reyes Station, Inverness, or the Bear Valley Visitor Center. Take time to savor the view of the changing light from the picture windows in the huge master bedroom! The property was clean and well cared for, and the owner was very responsive when we informed her of a few small maintenance issues in need of attention.

Beautiful location
This is a wonderful house in an amazing location - incredibly easy to explore all that Point Reyes has to offer. House is warm and well-built, which is not always the case in west marin. Laura was an incredible host. We hope to come back soon!

Serene and Secluded
Our family had a great time Durst ng our stay. The home is very beautiful and in a secluded, quiet area. We were able to see deer, quail, hummingbirds, and other beautiful birds. The location is pretty remote from a store to stock the kitchen. The kitchen was sparse in supplies on hand- so be sure to stop at a grocery store before arriving. The owner was very friendly and communicative. Our 4 generations enjoyed the ping pong, tether ball, and air hockey. We recommend a trip to Heart’s Desire beach if you have little ones. We saw 2 raccoons and jelly fish there. They are moon jelly fish- which do not sting. Overall, our family had a great time.

Wonderful family getaway
Wonderful place for extended family gathering. Super comfortable and well equipped. Kids loved all the games and outdoor fun. We found cooking meals to be easy with every piece of equipment needed. Great central location near visitor center and beaches and hikes at Point Reyes. Couldn’t get a few of the shades to work and some of the rugs were a little shabby and slippy. But overall a truly great find.

Great house and location
The house and the grounds of the property could have been much more well maintained. Lots of random stuff abandoned in the yard.
