Charming and meticulously decorated, this Boise craftsman offers an enclosed yard and all the cozy amenities of home - plan a wine-tasting trip with close friends or a family getaway into the great outdoors in this lovely space! Built in 1923 by the son of Irish immigrants, this bright home features hardwood floors, antique decor, cheery blue and yellow accents, and three bedrooms and a bathroom all on the main floor. Snuggle up on the sofa by the gas fireplace, rally your loved ones for a family board game in the sunroom, and let the little ones unwind with movies on the TV and DVD player. Outside, the enclosed backyard is a whimsical space with a vine-covered pergola and an ornate river-rock patio. Serve lemonade or mojitos under the umbrella on the porch, or fire up the grill for the perfect outdoor barbecue.
The Harrison House is located in Boise's historic North End, on the tree-lined Harrison Boulevard (which is on the National Register of Historic Places). The home is two miles from downtown and just blocks from Camel's Back Park and Hyde Park. Play doubles at the Camel's Back tennis courts or rent stand-up paddleboards from Idaho River Sports to explore Quinn's Pond two miles away. In town, you can ride your bike along the Boise River Greenbelt or stroll with your loved ones through the Idaho Botanical Garden. Float the river at Barber Park or take the kiddos to see the tigers at Zoo Boise. In winter, Bogus Basin is less than 16 miles away, where you can enjoy a white Christmas or ring in the New Year on the ski slopes.

The location and relaxed comfort of the home were awesome! Thank you!

We had a lovely stay at this charming home. It is walking distance to the Hyde district which is my favorite corner of Boise. The home is really well stocked with everything you need. It’s an old home but well maintained, clean and comfortable. Would stay here again. My only recommend to owners is to please stock more toilet paper and to fix the cabinet door under kitchen sink so access to garbage is easier. I think the latch is broken?

I was traveling for work, and needed a place that was quiet, but still close to downtown. This was the spot!! This home is so cozy, and I was excited to retreat to it after a long day at the office, but finish up my day on my laptop on the dinning room table, then doze off to the TV in the family room. The beds were delightful, the curtains made the room black out, and the charm of the old house rocked me to sleep. This place is on my list anytime I am needing a place for creativity, focus and peace.

This house gives off major “Gilmore Girl” vibes. It’s original, historic and the perfect vibe for being on Historic Harrison Blvd.
it was stocked with everything needed!
Ultimately, the house was everything we wanted & more, would absolutely stay here again!

Our stay was good once we figured out that the code only works on the front door and how to re-close and lock it.
Normally there are plastic baggies in the kitchen for left overs. I'm not a huge fan of plastic but there were none. The mirror in the bath room wasn't clean. The creaky floors were just part of being in an old home and kind of charming but woke someone up at night. Other than that, we enjoyed the home. Thank you.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The location was ideal, with easy access to downtown amenities and scenic hiking spots. We're already planning our next visit. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore and unwind in equal measure!

We instantly felt comfortable in this cheerful and cozy home. It is on the most beautiful tree-lined street surrounded by gorgeous historical homes and a wonderful atmosphere.
The house was clean and we appreciated the well-equipped kitchen. We also lived the art deco light in the bathroom and cute built in vanity. The house was full of charming details like that for those who love older homes like we do.
It was roomy enough for three adults and two toddlers to roam, and the location couldn’t be better - in the heart of the north end and just minutes to the Hyde Park neighborhood and all of its cute restaurants and cafes, as well as downtown Boise. We would stay here again!

Pros: The location of this home is fantastic. Walkable to coffee shops, dining and parks. Charming older home with comfortable beds and linens throughout. On street and private parking was great. Cons: The home shows its age and the shower can be tricky to perfect the temp. There are no window coverings in the front of the home (living room/dining) so in the evenings we felt a bit on display for the neighborhood. The basement level has an odor but no living space is down there for use other than the laundry.

We loved the location. The listing was 100 percent accurate and every little detail wat thought of by the hosts. The parks for our little ones were nearby and the vibrant restaurants in were a short walk away too. We will definitely return in the future.

The location of this house was great, near hiking trails and cute Hyde Park shops and restaurants. However, I could only recommend it if the owners took the time to make this house more guest friendly. They first need to include specific instructions on how to unlock the door, use the gas fireplace, use the TV which offers home shopping channels and Netflix, and adjust the thermostat. They need to throw out permanently stained towels, replace the decades old frayed dish towels, unclog the bathroom sink, provide more than one blanket for 3 bedrooms, provide more than 6 forks and spoons for a house that accommodates 6. Without attention to the above, I cannot justify recommending this property, despite its great location.

We truly enjoyed staying here and we had everything we needed to cook and have family over.

Such a quiet lovely house. Amazing area and street lined with trees about 15 mins walk to Center of Boise. Couldn’t find ironing board and could not play tv for 6 days due to complexity of 3 remote controls but still loved the place!
Thank you

The house is a charming, 1920s home with minor updates. The three bedrooms are spacious with comfortable beds. There’s one bedroom with a small shower and a claw-footed tub. The home is walking distance to Hyde Park cafes. There’s a musty basement where the washer/dryer are kept. The management company leaves much to be desired. The beds were dirty (with hair and dirt on sheets), dirty socks and tissue paper under one of the beds, dishes that were not washed. It took several calls for them to drop off clean sheets and 2 blankets for 4 beds. They did refund the cleaning fee but checking into a dirty house after a long travel time really out a damper on this trip and how we viewed the home.

It was a great house in an awesome neighborhood. 3 bedrooms two have double beds and the 3rd twin beds so 4 people unless you want to share beds. Very cool antique furniture and well decorated. Also stocked with everything you need. Loved it!

We've wanted to stay in this house for years- loving the great location on Harrison Boulevard. We were disappointed to find that it's in need of some TLC. The furnishings are worn, the amenities are lacking and in many cases, missing all together. The outdoor furniture out back was un-useable (not clean enough or able to be easily wiped down) and the street noise was so loud that the front porch and front sitting area indoors weren't relaxing options. This is a lovely location and a once charming home that needs some attention to bring it back to being a high quality stay.

My family and I were supposed to stay at this property for almost two weeks and ended up having to vacate (at Vacasa's suggestion) due to all of the issues in the home. First, I want to say that the property manager was exceptional in her communication and responsiveness.
That being said, this house was in really rough shape. The first day we were there someone had to come to completely change out the broken kitchen light. We also noticed that the kitchen faucet had almost no water pressure, it was practically a drip. But the real problem was in the basement. In looking for the washer and dryer I noted that the carpet in one of the empty basement rooms was completely saturated with water. I let the manager know, but the contractor who came out the first day didn't seem to address it. Two days later I went back down and this time the basement had a strong mildewy smell. I opened the door to the wet carpet room and noticed that paint was buckling along the wall. When I walked closer to inspect this wall, I saw that the one adjacent had paint peeling off and a layer of black mold surrounding an electrical socket.
Upon seeing photos of the mold and buckling walls, the manager sent out an urgent plumber who noted to us that the wall with the mold had crumbled at his touch and that there was severe foundation issues. Additionally, they were going to need to rip out the carpet and the walls.
It's obviously incredibly disappointing to have a stay cut short by over a week and for a variety of workers to need to enter the rental during peak Omicron.

Thanksgiving Rendezvous
Harrison House is our first choice for a family rendezvous! Well maintained, relaxing environment and close to family members who live in Boise.

We loved this beautiful historic home in the North End. We had a couple maintenance issues that could not be resolved but the property management company was very responsive and communicative. The house was very clean and it was beautifully decorated. The location on Harrison Blvd. and proximity to Hyde Park and Camel Back park could not be beat.

The house is very clean and comfortable. Even though it is located on Harrison Blvd it was very quiet as the bedrooms are in the back and Harrison is quiet at night. The location is perfect with easy walks to Hyde Park for coffee and/or good restaurants. The area in general invites long walks. We will definitely be back.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house itself had everything we needed - good size and comfortable bedrooms, well equipped kitchen, multiple spaces to hang out both inside and outside, and a quality washer and dryer. We also appreciated the architectural and design details - lots of character! The house is less than half a mile to many restaurants in the Hyde Park Historic District and only a few blocks from Camel’s Back Park. We would not hesitate to book this again on a future trip to Boise.
