What a great mountain experience in the absolute definition of luxury. This cabin had everything you could possibly need to relax and enjoy everything the mountains had to offer. Every morning we watched the sunrise to breathe in the fresh mountain air in our rocking chairs with a cup of coffee. It was a short drive from everything that made this area an explorers dream (Grandfather Mountain, Blue Ridge Parkway) but far enough away that we truly felt as though we were enjoying our own piece of a wilderness escape. So escape to the mountains at Van Beek's Peak, but not too many of you because we are planning on returning next year! Thanks Tom and Anita!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin with us. It is very well equipped with all you could ever need. We especially enjoyed rocking in the rocking chairs on the top deck, watching opening season college football on all the various TV's relaxing in the hot tub, and playing air hockey. However, nothing tops the amazing view. This weekend we visited the Valle Crucis Mast General Store and park and we spent a day in Blowing Rock. The ladies enjoyed a trip to Westglow Spa while the men watched football. On our last night we started a fire in the fire pit and made smores. All in all it was a fun get away with great friendly and family. We hope to be back soon.
Thank you so much for the lovely time in your mountain home. The fresh mountain air combined with the breathtaking view just had a way of transporting you to a little piece of paradise away from everyday life. My family and I loved the cozy feeling of the rustic cabin and all of its amenities... especially the hot tub! It was so nice to soak in the warm bubbly water while the mist rolled in off the mountains from the afternoon rain. The fire pit, the hammock, the bbq, all received good use and contributed to a wonderful vacation. You have a truly, lovely place up here. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Van Beek's Peak - Valle Crucis NC
Welcome to Van Beek's Peak, the perfect vacation home offering stunning views, peace and privacy, all encompassed in a magnificent custom Timber Frame home. The craftsmanship in this home will keep you busy admiring it for hours and hours. Every detail is perfect. The reclaimed woods in the great room are artfully conjoined from old barn wood, pine tongue and groove floors, huge timbers, hickory accents and complimented by lots of windows to bring the view into the home.
The master bedroom on the main level is log and chink with classic bedding, king bed, walk in closets, and master bath with claw foot tub and a walk-in shower. The loft is fantastic with log bed, beautiful and luxurious bedding, massive cross beams and accented with antiques and lovely artifacts. For your convenience, there is also a second full bath on the main level.
The modern kitchen is the cook's delight with marble counters, large farm-style sink, custom cabinets, center island for those who want to join in and again a view, view, view. For family meals, there is seating for everyone. The generously-sized covered deck offers a most fantastic layered view of miles and miles of mountains, dramatic in its changes from sunny, to misty clouds hugging the peaks, to windswept snow. Enjoy the view while sitting on the porch and if raining, there is nothing better than watching the clouds disappear like smoke. Guests often share stories of frequent wildlife passing by including deer and turkey, always a favorite with the entire family.
The quality and beauty continue in the main living area, with rustic and inviting touches throughout. The great room has a glass fronted fire stove to cozy up to and watch both the view, big screen TV and the fire after a day on the area slopes.
Head downstairs and find two more bedrooms, family room, second kitchen and another deck. The first bedroom on this level has a comfortable queen bed, the second offers both a queen as well as two twin beds, great for the kids to share, or young children that prefer to sleep in a room with their parents. There is another full bath on this floor as well. Large families will enjoy the second kitchen on this level, perfect if schedules vary – make coffee or fix lunch on your own time periods. The family room offers another television, games and X Box, air hockey, cozy gas firestove and deck access for another spot to enjoy the great view, or step over to the hot tub, a perfect spot to relax and rejuvenate again while enjoying the breathtaking views.
This three bedroom (plus loft bedroom) home sleeps up to ten more than comfortably. The surrounding area is great for hiking and the location is private yet still convenient to Banner Elk, the Valle Crucis Park and historic Mast General Store, ASU and downtown Boone. You will love the new memories your family creates while staying in this fantastic cabin!

Wonderful cabin with an amazing view!
4.8
I cannot give this property enough praises. It was, by far, the best cabin experienced we have had to date! It was absolutely perfect for our family. We stayed with our daughter, her husband, and our 2 grandkids. The downstairs is separated with doors on the upper and lower floors so it was perfect for containing our 18 month old grandson (who loves climbing stairs, lol). The cabin itself was so solid (you could not hear a peep from anyone downstairs or upstairs...huge plus for peeps with babies!) The master bedroom on the main floor was amazing. The great room was so comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with every cooking item you could every need/want. The upper floor has a contained deck so we were comfortable letting the kiddos and the dog roam free in that area. Everything was clean, perfect, and completely family friendly. If you have never experienced a cabin vacation...you have to stay here! You will never rent another hotel room again. Thank you so much for letting us stay at your gorgeous property!

We stayed at an incredible cabin . The cabin itself was so nice you can live in it, let alone vacation there. Super clean, Very spacious & inviting, extremely family oriented and equipped with everything you need . Hot - tub, giant deck, grill and most importantly amazing view. A+++++

We had 10 people and had plenty room. We really enjoyed our time there and the view was amazing. The cabin had everything we needed. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub and the kids and adults enjoyed the air hockey table and darts. We all agreed that we will stay there again.
4.8
The cabin was everything we expected and more. Our visit had snow and made it even more special, as we don't see it from our home state.
Thank you for making it feel like home and good Lord willing we will be back in the future.

We had a great long weekend with our adult children, their spouses and dogs. The views are awesome and love the rustic ambience! The house is well equipped with all you need. We spent much of our time on the porch facing the mountain views or by the fire pit. Would definitely recommend.

We had an amazing time at our stay this long weekend. We went up for my daughters graduation at App. It’s about 25 minutes from the school. About 20 minutes to Banner elk as well so good in between spot. Absolutely loved the views and the place is great, especially for older kids, with lots of amenities and things to entertain with!
4.8
The cabin was wonderful and has gorgeous views. The hot tub was great. The kitchen was well stocked. Lots of room to spread out and plenty of space for large families. The kids enjoyed the Xbox and air hockey table. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a very nice relaxing weekend, the house was well stocked, comfortable, and had amazing views.

Property was great. It was clean and cozy, and had everything you needed. A large full kitchen on the main floor with probably enough to make a turkey dinner for 10 people if you wanted. A nice wood burning stove, large deck with grill, rocking chairs, outdoor table and seating, etc. Downstairs, there was plenty of room for my 3 kids, an air hockey table that seemed in constant use, and of course another deck with hot tub. Very relaxing at the end of the day. Host provided many extras - towels, soap, etc., that we brought just in case. Nice and quiet, mostly secluded, with great views of the mountains.
One word of consideration; this cabin is 4.5 miles from the main road (15-20 min), on sections of paved and dirt, steep and windy roads. And some of the dirt sections are more like a trail than a road. So, make sure your vehicle has some ground clearance and make sure to get anything you need while you are out. And, if there's winter weather, well...be prepared.
Great time! We're already planning for the next visit!

The rental experience was smooth and easy. The only very small issue was the door lock code assigned would not work at the time of check in. Made a quick call and they gave me a new code within minutes. The rest of the stay was great and would highly recommend this property.

Great house! My family and I had a great time
4.8
This home and surrounding property are absolutely beautiful. We loved the spectacular Mountain View’s from the deck. The hosts thought of everything…there are personal touches throughout and everything you could need or want is available for use. We had a wonderful time with our family with great spaces for meals, painting, games, etc. and also space for everyone to have quiet time as well. A wonderful vacation!
4.8
Location and cabin were excellent. The only thing we can complain about was that there was a note when we arrived that we shouldn’t use the hot tub, and that maintenance had been contacted. I called the next day, but we never heard anything back and didn’t know if anyone had come to address the issue. The second thing is that the gas for the grill did not last the entire stay, and there was no backup.

The cabin is beautiful, the view is breathtaking! All you need is there to relax. If you like nature it's the right place.

Mountain get away
We had a awesome stay! The photos of the property and interior come up short. Views and cabin design and decor beautiful. Kitchen had most everything we needed (we over packed). Could of used a food processor. The drive up to cabin was a challenge for some but was well worth the climb. We are hoping for a future return. Thank you for a wonderful vacation 💕

This was the perfect get away. We wouldn’t change anything (besides staying longer)
We are all hoping to stay again.
