Depoe Bay is not a large coastal city, but it has fabulous restaurants (try the Dungeness crab cakes at upscale Tidal Raves!), cute shops lining the highway, a marina where you can book ocean-fishing or whale-watching tours, and miles of rugged, rocky coastline where you can watch the ocean crash against the cliffs. Depoe Bay is known as the whale-watching capital of the Oregon Coast (peak season is October through May), so wildlife lovers will be delighted to watch for whales at sea and seals in the harbor. For more options, the take a 15-minute drive south to the much larger Newport and its famous aquarium, or 15 minutes north to the bustling Lincoln City's casino and beautiful beaches.
Step into this updated two-bedroom, two-bathroom house and you will be struck by its charm - the hardwood floors are made of reclaimed wood from an old mill! Have a seat in the comfortable living room and read a book in front of the gas fireplace, watch cable TV, use the DVD player, access the provided streaming Netflix, choose a board game to play together, or use the WiFi to look up tide tables.
Next you will find a lovely dining area where you can enjoy meals together, which you will have no trouble preparing in the full kitchen (completely stocked with appliances and tools). When it's time to head to bed, you have a choice between the first bedroom, which features a new queen-size bed and ocean views, the master bedroom which has a new queen-size bed an attached bathroom, or a comfortable sofabed in the living room. Altogether, this home will accommodate up to six guests (four adults maximum, please).

Just finished staying for a week at Coastal Breeze cottage and it was terrific. Pictures online are very accurate. House is very convenient and walking distance to restaurants and whale watching center in Depoe Bay. There is a peekaboo view of the ocean from the front room and nice view from the patio on top of the garage. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen well stocked with what you need. I highly recommend it!

The house itself is fine, no complaints. Large kitchen, lots of sitting room in the living room, nice showers, beds are adequate. But the real selling point of this property is the location. There's an observation deck in the front yard that looks over the row of houses across the street--right onto the water! Also, it's located an easy walk (even for us old people!) from the action in the bay--the bridge with seals basking underneath, the restaurants and shops--all just about a five minute walk away. Will definitely stay here again, and would recommend for parties up to four.

Overall we were happy with our stay here, but will look for another home the next time we are in town. The only real spot to view the ocean was on the patio above the garage, and there were several power lines hanging in front of the view. There were several rails loose around the patio which made us uneasy with our children. The beds claimed to be queens but we are fairly certain they are only full sized beds as they seemed small.

This is a very nice little cottage within walking distance of Depoe Bay. Exterior is a little rough, but interior is very clean and quaint. I would stay here again.

The house is ok. Living room was big. The kitchen was filled with ants. We could not leave our items on the counters as they would get all over our items. No cleaning supplies for the kitchen, counter wipes, Windex, had to go to Walmart to buy. Also it was a very hot weekend, no fans in any of the bedrooms or the bathrooms, low ventilation.

The house was cute, well maintained and clean. While not oceanfront, still had a beautiful ocean view from the rooftop deck over the garage. The kitchen could have been better appointed as the dishes and utensils seemed to be odds and ends, but the kitchen itself had plenty of storage and counter space. Could use new mattresses in the bedrooms. Parking is tight on the street with no driveway.

Loved watching the sunset from the deck in the front yard, great walk I tot town for morning coffee and the watching the ocean from the bench overlooking the coast two one house away. The beds were ok Not completely comfortable for two adults. Kid were fine. Had everything you’d need to cook meals and relax.

This cute little is a perfect spot in Depoe Bay! It is an old house but is spotlessly clean and nicely decorated. The management company was responsive and supplies were plentiful. We would stay again!

As most of the other reviews have stated, the location is convenient. We stayed for 4 weeks so some of the things you might overlook if you were only staying a couple days, became a little annoying. The kitchen looks like it has never been updated and while it had everything we needed, the fact that some of the cupboard doors didn't shut and there is no vent over the stove (I kept setting off the smoke detector), became a source of irritation. Having said that, we would stay here again, just not for a month. The beds were comfortable and it was nice to have two bathrooms.

Great location for our trip, we could see whales from the rooftop deck on the garage! Really comfortable house, kitchen had the basic needs which was perfect. The only negative was the fridge/freezer had a very strong fish odor, but I passed that on to the management company and they assured me it would be taking care of soon.

Coastal Breeze was the kind of beach house you'd expect on the Oregon Coast. It was very clean and appropriately decorated for a beach house. The view from the deck was amazing. If you needed a closer look, 2 houses down was a bench right on the bay. A great little place we would definitely recommend. A little close to 101 ( right in backyard) but, was manageable. On our next visit I would really like new mattresses.

The house was in a perfect location in Depoe Bay, right next to great whale watching that was viewable from the house's deck. The back of the house does sit next to the highway but not noticeable unless in the master bathroom. The house was very clean, they thought of small touches such as lap blankets, and the owners provided great tips for wonderful food in the area. An overall wonderful stay.

Great location, comfortable cottage
This cottage was right in the heart of Depoe Bay, close walking distance to shops and restaurants. It was an easy drive to the Oregon Coast attractions. The cottage was stocked with everything we needed and we enjoyed the variety of board games. The rooftop of the garage has an ocean view - which is lovely. Thank you for renting us your comfy place!

Quiet little beach house
We loved staying here last week! It was very cozy. We loved the benefits of the all the stuff the kitchen supplied. It was a quick walk into depoe bay and a short drive over to Newport. The top deck above the garage had beautiful view above the garage also. My only complaint would be that the beds weren't the most comfortable. The place was also very clean. I would definitely stay here again.

Great beach getaway.
Clean beach house and convenient location. We had a great time. Walking distance to the shops in Depot Bay. Nicely furnished kitchen, tons of cookware and dishes. Lots of games to play and movies along with cable TV. There were four of us, but plenty of room for six.

When we arrived, we were more than a little hesitant because the scent of the house was a little strong (just old house smell. It’s a very clean place), and the house instructions informed us we could not change the heating temperature in the house even though it was cold.
By the end of our trip, I will say those issues didn’t matter at all. We adapted to the scent so quickly, it was as if it didn’t exist. As for the cold issue, there are stand alone heaters throughout the house and instructions on how to use them. The fake fireplace was not only beautiful, but it produced a lot of heat over time. And my daughter turned on the bedroom heater and it worked well.
We’ve been to a lot of place while traveling and we found the furniture at the Depoe Bay house to be incredibly comfortable. More so than in the more expensive places we’ve stayed. From the deck we watched the most amazing sunsets. And because of the location, we walked to Restaurants, to food, and along the shore. We saw the bay, a beautiful black sand beach, and an inlet where a giant rock island was covered in common Murres, which look, sound, and smell like penguins! All of these things are within an easy mile walk.
I would recommend this place to everyone. After staying there, I left believing there was only one downside. The tv had a lot of difficulty with Netflix in the evening when we were relaxing. However, we brought our laptops and were able to stream Netflix with no problem. We did bring. DVDs for this scenario, but the player wasn’t available for this trip. That’s fine as our laptops worked well.
This place is a definite gem and I’d return in a heartbeat.

Great Getaway
Classic coastal cottage/bungalow in a great location for walking to the main Depoe Bay retail area. Well appointed, clean, though a bit dated. Still, everything was functional, and perfectly suitable for our visit. Owners make a nice effort to the share instructions & tips about the area and amenities. The deck above the garage is excellent for sunset watching (which we had and was incredible).

Good value, handy location
As senior citizens in the time of covid, we were relieved to see this place was spotless. Everything was super clean. The location was close to restaurants and shops, yet we had a view of the ocean, especially from the garage deck. We liked the large picture windows in the dining and living rooms. The outdoor park bench in the photographs is just a few steps down the street and you can sit there and enjoy the rocky coastline. The back yard of the house abuts highway 101 and there is a little traffic noise now and then, but the yard and house are slightly elevated from the highway so there is some separation. The internet is fairly fast, streaming services good with a nice sized tv, although it tended to flake off once a night. There were reboot instructions in the guest materials that were easy to follow so it wasn't an issue. We slept in the west bedroom, and my husband felt the mattress was slightly lumpy and saggy; a replacement might be in order. Otherwise, this was a great place for us and we wish we had stayed a few days longer!
