The oven was broken, we could not make cookies, bisquits, casserole; or a birthday cake. TVs did not work for half of our booking. The exhast fan over the stove did not work. Nails sticking out of decking. Injured my foor. Lost a week of work. Vrbo and host are not taking it seriously. I will be contacting a lawyer for lost wages and medical bills.

This property was great! We had easy access to the beach just steps from the front. We sat out on the porch and enjoyed the view. We will come back here in the future!

We loved how close the house is to the beach! It sleeps at least 8 people with a loft for kids maybe? The living is small l, but if at the beach most of the time, that’s ok.

Very nice location, very close to the beach and you almost have your own personal beach as not many people go to that area of the beach. Great location compared to town, far enough away to not have much traffic but close enough to still be able to go do things and not have to drive a long ways to get there. Had a problem with some ants and bugs in the house but after a hurricane went through the area im guessing that had something to do with the bugs going to higher ground.
Would recommend this property to anyone who wants an ocean view and easy beach access every day. Very fun and look forward to visiting Galveston again.

Great location - but the code and door lock does not work. Had to use the lock box key after we finally got the code to get in. Front door door knob broken and had not been fixed. I noticed it other reviews. Comes off every time you try and go out. Oven broken, only top heating element works so you can't bake anything. Upstairs area very hot can not sleep up there. Bathroom shower very small and hard for adults to use in the hallway bathroom.
Great location justs needs some things fixed. Grill is nasty dirty and did not work.

The house is nice and in a great location but Vacasa the management company was difficult to communicate with. There was a hurricane in Galveston 10 days before our booking and I couldn’t get information about the house condition. Many of the houses in the area were damaged. The house was in pretty good condition when we got there but we were never able to get into the laundry room where all the beach chairs and toys were. The oven did not work and there were damaged chairs on the porch. I spent hours trying to find out what the code was to the lockbox where the key to the laundry room with beach items were. The trash had not been picked up and was overflowing. The management company did not offer any concessions for the inconvenience. I will be reluctant to use a property managed by Vacasa again.

The view and location was great for us! But that was about it. The whole place is outdated and needs repairs. Various items are likely about to break. The front door was falling apart on the bottom. The beds were uncomfortable. The air was on but it was much warmer in certain rooms. A vent was above a bed and was dripping. The kitchen supplies were extremely outdated. It felt dirty inside. The bed and towels felt cheap and uncomfortable. The location on the water was perfect but I would not stay there again.

Fantastic location right on the beach!

Very displeased with this stay. We got there on a Monday around lunch AC was not working, got told that afternoon after reaching out for someone to come see AC that we could no longer stay there due to AC unit being broken. Got all unpacked just to repack and drive 6 hours back home in the same day. All of this could have been resolved and not been a waste of our time if the house would have been fully checked prior to renting out to someone.

This house could not be in a better location. You are right on the beach. I have older kids and loved the fact I could hang out on the deck and watch the kids at the beach at the same time. We were so close I could even yell down to them and they could hear me. The beach was never crowded. It was only the people staying in the homes that would be down there. It’s also super close to town for driving to pleasure pier or Schlitterbahn. I have gone to Galveston many times over the last 10 years and this has to be my favorite location yet.

This property brought mixed feelings for me and my 8 guest. The location is awesome. The views are amazing. The lower patio and upper deck areas are also awesome.

Not fancy but great location for a low key beach trip.

You absolutely cannot beat the location of this property. It was as described and had pretty much everything you need. The only problem we had was the lockbox to where the key for storage for the grill / other amenities (assuming washer and dryer) we could not get unlocked. Other than that, everything was awesome. Will be looking to stay at this property again.

The loaction and beach front was great. Really enjoyed the porch. The home needs some repairs. No door on one twin rooms and the front door not easy to open or lock and bottom came off. One of the queen beds needs replaced or repaired. Its an older home with wear and tear as a rental. We had a great time and the view was amazing.

I would recommend this vacation home if your looking for a quick enjoyable weekend. Located right in the beach. It could use some updated but we had a great time. The host was very convenient and helpful. Check in and out process was very simple. I would stay again.

We enjoyed our stay, it was clean and roomy! Weather was not on our side. The TV was a challenge not familiar with the service. No real issues with our stay.

Best thing about the property was the location to the Seawall , downtown, and best of all the beach!
Place is very cute! But the furniture in the family room is very uncomfortable
TVs to small poor WiFi

This house is in a great location and was exactly what we were looking for. A few nails on the front deck need to be nailed down but it wasn't anything serious. Very short walk to the beach and full view of the ocean from the deck. Also, pretty close to anything you would need in Galveston.

The house was everything as advertised, clean, spacious, beautifully maintained and decorated. I am keeping “Hit the beach” in my Rolodex for future stays for sure!

Hit the Beach Cabin is a fantastic place if your looking for a place for a nice relaxing place for you and your family and friends.
It is located in the center of of beach front that cars are not allowed to travel up and down. Highly recommend this place a most stay.

The location was just perfect. We knew from the description it was an older home which was fine with our family. However, it really needs some help! This property needs some love! The kitchen is extremely cluttered and not as clean as it should be. Old unused food in pantry, dirty baking sheets, oven needs cleaning, etc. It needs someone to empty the kitchen and just start over with needed items - not a few coffee pots, tons of the same items causing clutter. There were plenty of beach toys which was great but it was just thrown in a closet and a mess! We did enjoy our family vacation. It is just a shame that this property has the potential to be one of the best around with a little help!

Major ant problem in kitchen and bathrooms. Most of the interior and exterior in disrepair. Raised nail head on deck and stairs

Great location and view. Everything we needed in the kitchen. I brought too much from home. Needs more paper towels and toilet paper but we made it work. Trash down stairs was overflowing when we arrived but inside was clean. Overall a great time and would stay again

Horribly dirty…. Mold in and around refrigerator- mold in the shower- dirt and old food under tables and couch- flooring coming up - tripping hazard- dirt in return air grill- slimy stuff in ice cube trays- tried to get cleaning lady but wasn’t available- spent 2 days talking to management company wasting my vacation time- I cleaned the house myself with cleaning supplies WE bought because there was none available at property- 3 coffee makers there but only 1 worked… it was just bad- just awful….. gorgeous spot on the beach so we were so disappointed in the house.

Fantastic location right on the beach and not far from Galveston. The kitchen is set up with plenty of tableware. The property is very worn. Several housekeeping issues were noted upon arrival, however the management response was quick. The 10 digit door combination was very frustrating and watch your knuckles when opening the door.

The view is amazing. Very easy access to beach. The chairs on the deck great! The beds nice.
However, the place was dirty. I have photos. The stairs coming up need work and were bending with each step. And the communication with Vacasa SUCKED!! At one point they told me to call (xxx)xxx-xxxx. That’s it. No numbers, just x’s. I will never rent another vrbo from them again.

Fantastic location - right on the beach, you get all of the ocean sounds and breezes! The space underneath the house is fantastic to hang out, and communication with the owner is seamless!

Close to the beach and shoet distance to town.

Our only hesitation was that our beach was a public beach. It was still very nice and we enjoyed our stay.

Great location and view. Easy access to the beach. House sadly was not very clean. Floors were sandy. Had to rewash dishes we used. Wifi is very slow and remotes had no batteries. But the views were great.

As soon as we walked into the house there were several roaches and ants all over the kitchen counter. The AC kept shutting off and the fridge and freezer didn’t keep cool at all. The sink disposal was broke when we tried to use it as well. Good location though.

The location is ideal.
