My husband and I have just returned from the most wonderful vacation in Lake Tahoe. Our stay in this cozy little apartment over looking the lake was nothing short of fabulous! The wooden beams, the fireplace, the well stocked kitchen and comfy bed and the most fantastic view made for such a great vacation. Thank you so much! We will absolutely return one day!

Picture Perfect
The view is spectacular! Everything you need for a cozy retreat. The bathrooms are a little dated but functional. It was rather chilly so we enjoyed the gas fireplace. Close to restaurants and grocery stores. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a fantastic time during our stay at this location. The images don’t do enough justice, and the place was super cozy and conveniently located. Has a great view of the lake as well, and had a great stay!

Fabulous lake view condo!
What a terrific place to stay on my annual Tahoe birthday retreat! The beautiful views from the open space living area practically bring the lake inside. (Don’t miss the sunrises and sunsets). The spacious, well-appointed condo has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Trails on the property help you connect with the environment (love the forest smells). I hope to return for a visit in the summer to enjoy the deck, pool and beaches. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend staying here..

One of the very best
We rent a lot of vacation rentals and have high standards. This condo was superb in every way--the furnishings, the view, the quiet, secluded community with nice walking trails.
The owner and Packard Realty went out of their way to extend the deadline for payment (twice) due to the changing status of the Caldor fire. The air cleared, and we were able to enjoy a beautiful stay. Win-win for everybody.
This condo is a true gem, with great owner and agency.

Lake Tahoe area
The Property (Chinquepin) was great; the issue was uncontrollable, as the Forrest Fires created a dangerous air quality atmosphere, where you could not go outside, or see any of the views in the area; thus we cut our trip short by 2 days, and really did not get to see the beautifull Tahoe area. VRBO and Chinquepin were extremely satisfactory; they obviously can't control the Air quality for whatever reason. In discussions with a Tahoe native, one should visit Tahoe in June (if not a skier), instead of what the majority of visitors do (come in July and August---Forrest Fire season of late).

A week at Chinquapin
It is a beautiful property in a peaceful wooded setting along the banks of Lake Tahoe. The property has a spectacular view of the lake. We are looking forward to returning to this property in the future.

Great ammenities
We love the property and access to the private beach and pool. The condo itself could use some upgrades but the view from the deck was so wonderful every morning. The master bed is very soft(old) and the bath towels are old and scratchy. The place was really hot in late June. They need to fix or install AC. They did have standing fans but the place never cooled off. We did not spend much time in the actual condo so it was a great launching pad for us to do fun things while in Tahoe.

Great view and property! House is as promised in listing. Very quiet grounds! Kitchen was well supplied. Hot water does run out after 2 showers but was not a problem for us.

Trully Tahoe!
Just got back after a wonderful 5 day stay here! I've been to Tahoe a few times last few years. But this property is the first one we loved so much that we're sure that we're coming back. Really clean, well stocked kitchen, great lake views, and great location w.r.t stores. Highly recommended.

Nice unit, great location
We had a nice relaxing stay. Great view of the lake and a very nice complex. Only thing to note is that with the location, you're kind of limited to driving if you want to get elsewhere since there isn't much within easy walking distance.

Serenity on the Lake
Just returned from a glorious one-week stay at this wonderful property located at Chinquapin near Tahoe City. Our experience from start to finish was top notch. The owner Gil was responsive and very helpful. The unit is wonderful: cozy, inviting and clean as a whistle. Loved the views of the lake, the fireplace, the very well equipped kitchen, the wonderful hiking trails on the property... Looking forward to a return visit in the not too distant future. Thanks, Gil.

Perfect location
The condo was exactly as advertised. Beautiful views of the lake and close to town and area ski resorts. Only complaint was the hot water ran out to fast for more than 2 to shower back to back. Had to stagger between morning and evening. But very week appointed and would definitely come back.

Serendipity
The best lake view be it sunny or snowy ! Absolutely delightful, comfy, private, serene and convenient. We have experienced a varied range of properties and Gil’s is a 5-STAR. I NOw fully understand the enchantment of viewing the weather radically changing over the lake.
I loved watching the snow falling and then sunny skies.
Walking on the beautiful and extensive property was so convenient.
Just go !! Thank you Gil

Great view
Much bigger than I expected! The view was fantastic. I wished the balcony had the snow shoveled off (or I could shovel it off (I didn't actually look for a shovel) so I could have a little more room to sit out there. It was very cold though, so really not that big of a deal. The place has everything you need, even down to the salt/pepper, olive oil, coffee filters and there was even more. All you need to bring is the main food to cook! The place isn't a brand new place so things are not going to be perfectly clean, but not an issue for us. It was perfectly fine! :) It's close to restaurants and activities and uber/lyft is available in the area if you need that. Overall I would recommend this place and Gil is very responsive/quick if you have any questions. The view is fantastic and beautiful!

Lakeside Getaway
This place is great for those looking to get to squaw or incline for skiing and tahoe travel. The place is clean with a great view of the lake. The pictures do not do the place justice, as there is more space than expected.

Great view, so/so accommodations
The view of the lake is great except for the large TV placed in front of the window. Overall the property is dated which would be ok but it is dark and the light switches are a mystery that we could never figure out (and we are engineers), the fireplace cannot be adjusted sometimes it is on sometimes it is not, we assume due to a thermostat but we couldn't find it. The top of pictures were dusty, there were cobwebs near the ceiling, etc so it was not spotless. This was surprising considering the extra detailed cleaning one would expect with COVID. Requiring tenants to start laundry and take out trash, but then still charging a very high cleaning fee is ridiculous. Lastly the check in time is 4:00-5:00 pm, only 1 hr, which is unreasonable.

We love visiting Gil's condo! Everything you need is on hand. Fall is a lovely time to visit Tahoe. We kayaked at Sand Harbor and visited Sugar Pine Park for a picnic. The weather was perfect. Got some super pics. Save us some time Gil, we will be back soon!
