We ask travelers to plan their vacation appropriately for the rural mountain climate and encourage guests to research all travel insurance options, as Tahoe Moon Properties cannot provide refunds for things outside of our control.

Cabin in good neighborhood, This is a small cabin in a good neighborhood. Unfortunately, the heat was not on the first night and it made for a somewhat lackluster stay. Also, there is only one bathroom which is downstairs in the bedrooms are upstairs. The location is great, but otherwithis is a small cabin in a good neighborhood. We arrived with snow on ground on a dark evening to find a cozy, warm, clean and friendly cottage. We had hot cocoa and did a puzzle before sleep. It was a lovely weekend in December with my daughter and her best friend. The hot tub was warm and bubbly and everything ran smoothly. The next morning we took a short walk to the gorgeous lake, smiling the whole way. The neighborhood was quiet and we had everything we needed. We would definitely return to this lovely and cozy perfect cottage.

This little cottage was cozy and sweet, had everything we needed for a long weekend, except I didn't do my homework very well, in that there is only ONE bathroom, and it is on the main floor level. The stairs are small, as are for an older home so navigating those in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom wasn't fun. Otherwise, very comfortable. So peaceful! Hot tub is cute, I say cute because it's for short people, and fits 2 people, that's it. If you plan on getting in naked be prepared to show the world your goods because it's not a big deep hot tub. We opted not to go in. But, clean and ready. All in all a well kept property. Just like home. ☺️

Quaint and cozy cabin for an early fall getaway. The location is excellent, good for local walks and close to the marina for boat and board rentals. There is also a wonderful restaurant, Spoons, and a coffee shop and mini market within blocks. Cabin has a nice outside area in a woodsy setting and inside the cabin is fully equipped with everything you need for a getaway. We will be back!

Great location, cute woodsy cabin, wonderful outdoor space. Only complaint was the broken window in the bathroom - made for some chilly early morning showers.

My wife and I enjoyed a restful week at the Honeymoon Cottage. The location is perfectly situated with Sunnyside Lodge and a beach within walking distance. It is conveniently located to Tahoe City, Truckeee, all of the West side and South Lake Tahoe. This was a great base for hiking Desolation Wilderness, kayaking the lake and river rafting the Truckee River. Definitely would stay again.

My now husband and I stayed at the Honeymoon cottage for a full week over the course of our wedding weekend in Tahoe City. We couldn’t have expected a more perfect home base for our trip.
The home was clean, comfortable, had all the amenities we needed, and then some. The upstairs master bedroom was extremely comfortable and peaceful. We were totally enthralled in the mountain cabin style of the cottage.
We enjoyed soaking in the hot tub and the convenience of the short walk to the West Shore Market, Sunnyside, and Firesign restaurants. It was easy to walk and jog our dog on the bike path and even to jump in the lake!
Tahoe Moon Properties provided us with excellent service prior to and during our stay. We hope to stay here again some day! Hopefully on a future anniversary. Thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was as described, clean and ready for us. The hot tub was working and great for relaxing after a day skiing. The property manager was very responsive when we unintentionally turned off the gas fireplace and could turn it back on.

We loved this cottage, close to everything and great instructions for everything. All the supply pans kitchen ware where excellent. Don’t forget to bring wood for the fire
But even workout a fire the place stays really warm. We would highly recommend this place for a family and dogs. Hot tub was so wonderful also.

The place was nice. Wonderful location and beautiful area. Had no issues with the property at all. We just had to deal with the smoke from the forest fire unfortunately. Which is out of anyones control.

We really enjoyed our visit to Lake Tahoe and spending time at this beautiful cabin! The hot tub was very nice! The kitchen was perfect for us and everything was beautiful! We had only one unfortunate problem. We had a bat in our bedroom and didn't know that the bat was there until we had spent two nights at the cabin. We were careful to close doors right away because of bears. I am not sure how it got in and we found out that anytime you spend the night with a bat...that you have to get rabies shots for possible exposure. ugh. We had to go the ER in our local city and get the first round of shots yesterday. We really enjoyed the cabin but this did put a bit of damper on our vacation after we got back...especially since each dose of the vaccine is 450 dollars each!!! Ack. Hopefully, the owners can post a warning about bats in the area or give more info about being bat aware.

Had a great stay here. The cabin is easy to find, located just outside of Tahoe City. It is quiet and very private. Everything was comfortable. Cabin is just as pictured and made for a great couples getaway.

We loved the cabin feel. The outdoors was wonderful. Only complaint is the stairs are too steep and the only bath is downstairs and the bedrooms are upstairs. Probably not an issue for younger folks.

We loved our stay! Family of 4. Highlights were the beautiful outdoor spaces surrounding the cottage for kids to explore and play outdoors for hours, all while grown ups can watch and enjoy the view from the hot tub, the location is great, and the size of the cottage is perfectly cozy! We can't wait to come back! Thank you for an amazing get away!

We enjoyed our stay here. Had a couple complications with check in but we were able to take care of everything ourselves referring to the checkin email. Great location and quiet area. Would stay here again.

The cabin was charming but needs some TLC. There was dog hair on the couches. The bed in the master bedroom was very uncomfortable and the bedspread was old and stained. The carpets were old and stained as well. We left a day early because we couldn’t sleep and the dog hair was bothering my allergies.
