Perfect home for our extended family. Lots of room to spread out. The kids loved the pool and spa. Super location near town. Beautiful views and access to the water. Jeanne, Carlos, and Luci were courteous, helpful, and took good care of us.

We had a wonderful stay at the Casa Alegre. The home was as described, but that was only the beginning!
Loreto Town- we felt nothing but safe and secure every moment. We were a combined family of grown females and toddler boys, never once did we feel strange anywhere in the town or surrounding areas.
The Home- perfectly laid out for differing age groups. Areas to nap quietly, areas to party, areas to quietly read a book. Areas to take your buddies money at backgammon.
Lucy and Carlos- Lucy was amazing, not just as a cooking resource but also as a guide for activities as well as airport transportation. Carlos was never more than 5 minutes away for the few times we needed guidance.
The Jeep- worth the insurance expense. Invaluable for getting around Loreto town.
The CD in the Jeep- the real MVP of the trip, our daughter grew to Love reggae, we appreciate that!

Great house right on the sea, suited our family beautifully. Close to town as well. Lucy cooked amazing meals for us, and Carlos was just a few steps away to help with any needs. Wish the weather had been warmer, but cannot control that. Overall, a wonderful week in Loreto and at Casa Allegre.

We had a lovely stay at the cabin in Early Feb. our dog loved roaming the mountain side. The views were beautiful and the cabin had everything you need. The drive into Ashville was about 25 min. We had a great time exploring the town and visiting the Biltmore. The owner was very helpful and responsive and the bed was very comfortable!

It is clear that the hosts make every effort to provide guests all the accommodations possible for a wonderful vacation. It is also clear that this is a house that is loved and cared for. Most significantly, the location is gorgeous, with amazing sunrises over the mountains and ocean right outside most bedroom windows- a wonderful way to wake up (there are great shades for those that don’t want to be up with the sun, but most of us found we couldn’t resist the views) There are some amenities that are showing their age, but the beds are very comfortable, the kitchen stocked with all the equipment you’ll need and the location to the downtown area is just right- walkable, but far enough to be peaceful. Loreto itself is a wonderful town, with friendly, gracious residents who are tourist friendly, but don’t leave you feeling like you’re at a resort. I know we hope to go back soon!

This property was better than the pictures! The home was very tidy, and the staff was kind and knowledgeable. Certainly a location we'll want to return to.

This was the first time visiting Loreto and we loved that we had a direct flight into this rustic, old world charm little town. We opted for the convenience of a rental home vs a hotel stay. On our first day we arrived and the onsite cook, Lucy, had a prepared fish taco meal ready to great us. It was delicious and we were hungry after a flight delay.
The house was spacious, clean, and it had a lot of amenities. the kids enjoyed the movie room - we bought some microwavable popcorn and the kids enjoyed movie night twice in the same week.
Definitely take advantage of the two kayak's that come with the home, with the beach steps away, we used them to venture to the waters and they were easy to maneuver the kids in them.
We loved the convenience of the jeep included with the house. It was perfect for the day getting to and from the beer runs and also shopping and exploring the town. We bought an online policy to cover 4 days and it was only $50. Worth it!
Be prepared to see some local bugs roaming around, its part of the environment, we saw quite a few black beetles, but they were harmless.
the neighborhood is quiet, we brought our own blue tooth speaker and played music while the kids swam in the pool. We also brought a few pool inflatables.
Lucy recommended a boat service from the marina to Coronado Island for a day excursion it was the highlight of our trip. They even scheduled a taxi pick up for us all and drop off included in the trip price. Our excursion included fresh ceviche and clams prepared on shore as well as a cooler full of waters, sodas, and beer.
Overall we enjoyed our stay, all the meals prepared by Lucy were delicious, and she was very service oriented, answered all our questions. We would come back again!
The Host was attentive and responsive and best of all cared about our overall experience.

Average stay
Beautiful view. Excellent furniture and Lucy the cook was a nice touch. Fixed breakfast very morning. The beach was not swim-able with broken glass and trash. No TV’s in the bedrooms. Swimming pool had the same leaves every day. It’s shows well on the web site but it could use some maintenance.

Way better than the pictures!
A group of us have been going to Loreto for 15 years. We decided to upgrade to this amazing house and we are so glad we did! Each of us had our own suite. The views are stunning. Having Lucy come at 5am to make us an amazing breakfast was a bonus. I can’t imagine we will stay any where else in the future. It’s a short 5 minute ride to the marina. Highly recommend!

Fantastic!
Lucy and Carlos made this vacation extra special by helping us find local fresh fish, cooking amazing meals and answering all our questions about local attractions. The house itself is spectacular, clean, comfortable and fun. We are sad to leave. We will be coming back!

Wonderful 10 days at Casa Alegre!
11 of us stayed at the casa, 6 adults and 5 kids. It’s was such a wonderful time! The house was perfect for our group. Lucy was a huge part in making the week so amazing. She cooked breakfast every morning and we hired her for 3 dinners too. She is such a wonderful soul it was fun to be around her!
We walked to town and utilized the jeep to drive to dinner 3 of the nights. We took a day trip to Coronado and saw whales, dolphins and sea lions. We also used the kayaks at the house which was a highlight for many. Can’t say enough good things! It was a week we won’t forget.

A majestic mansion
My 6yr old daughter call this place her majestic mansion. (She is really into Disney movies.) we could not have been more pleased with our stay. Lucy was a fabulous chef and Carlos was there for anything we needed. We had 6 adults and 1 child and everyone felt like they had their own space. Thank you for a great week.

Relaxed paradise
We (five families and four young kids) had an absolutely amazing time at Casa Alegre. The pictures don’t do it justice. It was spacious, clean and well stocked for our visit. The caretaker Carlos was available if we needed and cook Lucy was amazing. We loved walking to the town on the beach at low tide and playing in the hot tub and pool with the kids. We’ll definitely be back!

Gorgeous Hacienda in Loreto
Truly a great house for couples or families! A nice casual feel and ambiance.

We hired a chef for breakfast (Lucy) she was amazing! Really made the trip for the adults! She did a Mexican dinner for us on last night abd food was delicious!!
Oscar (taxi #32) was there for all our needs! Local farm tour and San Javier Mission) plus local trips! Awesome!
Carlos the caretaker was always there to help with anything! All Very very safe!
Location is supreb. Easy 15 min walk into the historical square!
Mi Loreto was great food! Islas was great too Food is better in Loreto and 1/2 the cost of Cabo or PV.

Amazing accommodations and beachfront experience
We had two families share this property for eight days and it could not have been better. (Ok, the weather could have been a little better the first two days....) The pictures and description do not do the property justice. First, we walked all over Loreto and never saw a beachfront property with better privacy. The house has open lots on either side that are part of the property, not only providing privacy but the view aperture is incredible. The beach is literally right up to the pool deck, with a sandy, shallow calm access to swimming and kayaking. The house itself was perfect for us, with multiple bedrooms having large, en-suite bathrooms. We ate in multiple nights, using the outdoor kitchen to barbeque and there is plenty of seating inside and out. The layout gives it a unique feel, with the upstairs bedrooms accessed by exterior stair, opening to an expansive outdoor terrace. The pool is nice and includes a large hot tub that was well used. We could not be happier with the house and property.
Jeanne was great as well, meeting us at the house for orientation and helping us out with details. Carlos, the caretaker, is a true gem and lives in a sweet little house inside the gated compound and was there for us when needed. We literally were able to just go knock on his door when something was needed.
We walked to town every day, sometimes multiple times. The access is easy, by road through the arroyo, or at low tide by beach, with a short wade. Loreto is lovely, not too touristy but with enough tourist accommodations to make it easy for those of us who don't speak Spanish. We caught some fish, snorkeled, sat on the white sand beaches of Isla Coronodo and enjoyed a weeklong break from the Pacific Northwest winter. It was a fantastic experience overall and I highly recommend Loreto and this property in particular.

"Practically perfect in every way"
Casa Alegre was a wonderful place for us to celebrate Christmas with our 2 adult kids, their spouses, and the 4 grandchildren. There was plenty of room for us to spread out, the kitchen was well equipped, and the sunrises were fantastic. The tree frog bedroom was fun and the master suite beautiful. The kiddos would have spent the entire day playing in the pool/hot tub, but we also enjoyed going out on the 2 kayaks from the house and the SUPs we brought with us. Beachcombing netted lots of great shells and we harvested clams for dinner several nights. We loved being away from the busy part of the harbor, yet being able to walk to town for shopping or ice cream almost every day.
Carlos (the caretaker) quickly responded to any needs we had and Jeanne was very helpful in our planning efforts. We were grateful for use of the Jeep for grocery store runs, but highly recommend Oscar, Taxi #32, for any other transportation needs. We hired him to take our group of 10 to the St. Javier mission one day, which included stops at several points of interest and included lunch at his in-law's farm where the kids got to help make tortillas that were cooked over a wood stove. He also helped us arrange for a local chef to cook an authentic Lorentano dinner at the house one night.
If you're going to Loreto with a large group, this is THE place to stay! We hope to return in the future.

Best time ever on the Baja for all of us!
Our group of 10 friends and family members just returned from a 2-week stay at Casa Alegre. Best time ever! The house with all its amenities -- pool, spa, home theatre, gourmet kitchens indoor and out, ping pong, ice machine! -- cannot be beat! And in the most beautiful beachfront setting you can imagine, it was like a paradise dream vacation come true. All with one of the most spectacular views of the Sea of Cortez you'll ever see. Oh the sunrises! This trip was a first time to Loreto for all of us after having been to Baja several times before further south. Really enjoyed the historic small town charm and friendly vibe. Big thumbs up to Mi Loreto for their delicious local cuisine we very much enjoyed. The mole is sooo good! And kudos to Doobie and his brothers for guiding us on several days of fishing, snorkeling and island sightseeing. Five yellowtail in the boat! "No chicken dinner tonight!" Of course we couldn't have done all this and had so much fun without lots of help. Thank you Jeanne and Carlos for taking care of us and making our stay so comfortable and trouble-free. You're awesome! And thank you Delpit family for sharing your beautiful Casa Alegre with us. We love it and hope to be back!

Great rental!
We were 8 adults and found the place to be really comfortable, well-furnished and equipped. The minor issues were mostly looked after immediately by Carlos, the on site custodian, and he was a great resource for getting a cab or arranging a boat etc. Easy walk into town.
Can't imagine better accommodations if you are a larger group.

Great house
We had five couples enjoy this beautiful casa. The location could not have been better. 15 minute walk to town but located on a beautiful private spot on the beach. We had Doobie pick us up on the beach right outside our door and he took us to snorkeling beaches for a picnic. Another day he took us on a fishing trip. The 5 bedroom suites are very private and provide good separation and quiet. Morning sun rises were amazing. The only problem we had was that the spa was not heating. The pool was very cold, much colder than the ocean. And the bar-b-que was a little greasy. All in all we had a wonderful time and will no doubt come again. Thank you Larry and Jeanne!

Incredible!!!
Loved this house!!! Close to town, amazing water front views. Our fishing guides dropped us on the beach after fishing each day! Pool was the perfect and so great after a day of fishing. Did not think we would use the theater room, but it was so cool we ended up watching movies every night! Will hopefully be back!

Wonderful property in a great little town
Five couples spent a fantastic week at Casa Allegre in March. The casa is large enough to absorb a group this size easily. You have space to spread out or group up for meals , Final Four basketball games , evening drinks etc. The pool, beach ,kayaks ,
theatre room , pool patio and decks were all great. We went to Coronado Island one day spotting Blue Whales on the way. Fishing the next day produced four large Yellowtail for the barbecue. We golfed the new course down at Danzante. This course is simply spectacular. The San Xaiver Mission was another day trip we enjoyed. We rented cars for two days for the longer trips but the jeep provided was used for around town stuff. There are some good restaurants in town. When not cooking our fish we went out every night. The property is well equipped for cooking if you stay in for the evening. The property manager , Jeanne , was very helpful giving us information and setting up pangas for our trip to Coronado Island. Carlos , the onsite caretaker , was quick to help us out with any problems or requests. The town is small, the people are friendly and you always feel safe . Book and enjoy !

Love Loreto!
Five couples visited Loreto for the first time and stayed at Casa Alegre. We enjoyed all the house had to offer. Kayaking in the Sea Of Cortez was very relaxing. We saw dolphins and one of our group got a gift of clams from some fishermen while out in the kayak. Theater room was great. We saw whales while sitting by the pool. Sunrises were incredible. Our first night there we had a thunderstorm move through quickly and then it hung over Isla Carmen for a few hours and put on an incredible lightning display.
It is in the perfect place to base out of to explore the area. We took a trip over to Puerto Adolfo López Mateos on the Pacific for some whale watching/petting. Incredible experience not to be missed! One day a few of us went fishing and each caught a yellowtail. Another day a few drove to Mulegé to check it out and have lunch. One day some of us drove up to Mision De San Javier. Don't forget to check out the 300 year old olive tree out back.
Loved Loreto! A very nice town with friendly people and wonderful food! I don't think it's possible to get a bad meal there.

Very private and beautiful home. You couldn't ask for a better view of The Sea of Cortez!!
Loved the whole stay! The people are so friendly and helpful! Definitely coming back! The house has everything you could ask for, the ice maker is awesome saves trips to town!! The only downside was the fridge was dirty and stains were on the master bedding. I'm a clean freak so it may not bother all 😀 Even at that I would still come back! It is probably one of the best properties to stay at. Thanks for letting us stay in your home.

Beautiful House
I can honestly say that my 4 day stay at Casa Alegre over spring break was my favorite vacation I've taken so far. Maybe it's because I was with 10 of my best friends or that there were so many fun activities to do that we were never bored. Between ATV riding, kayaking over the manta rays , fishing, exploring the town, and just hanging by the pool there truely is something for everyone to enjoy.
Not only are there a ton of activities, but Casa Alegra is truely an ideal vacation home. It is kept very clean and every room has their own full bathroom. There is even an entertainment room for if you want to stay in and watch movies rather than explore the beautiful city or Loreto. When you wake up in the morning you go outside and see the beautiful ocean and can't help but feel relaxed. Casa Alegre is the perfect place to book for vacation if you want to unwind. The house is beautiful and you could never run out of things to do in Loreto. Definitely will be coming back to Loreto and staying at Casa Alegre again.

Amazing place
Stayed here with three other couples and had an amazing time. The house has every amenity you could ask for. The pool area was the perfect place for morning coffee, after in cocktails or and evening glass of wine. The beach is secluded and quiet. It is less the a fifteen minute walk to downtown.
The fishing was good but not great but the whale watching was over the top. One morning we were on our way out to fish and were in the middle of a pod of dolphins numbering in the thousands. A thrill of a lifetime.
This was our second time in Loreto We fell in love with the town and the people again and will certainly be back.
