While the location was great and the host was very responsive, it is an older home and the website pictures were not accurate. Kitchen, living room and one bedroom different. Since it is an older home, the insulation between floors is poor...we could hear every movement and words of guests upstairs. Also the kitchen was not well stocked. One pan. One pot. No lids.
3. More One pot. One pan. No lids.

The apartment was good, owner a good communicator. Location was excellent, near Palins of Abraham, an easy mile walk to the lower city. Not a bright apartment, but we didn't spend much time there. TV didn't work, but no big deal. Quebec is a fabulous city, plenty of opportunities for site seeing over 2+ days. People are very friendly.

This location was perfectly located within walking distance to most of what we wanted to see. Having a parking spot was a bonus. It was a cool old building.
Thanks for a great stay.

Vintage property with all the modern updates you need. Beautifully restored Victorian home and a great location. Odor was on site and responsive. Lovely neighborhood. Sorry we only stayed there for one night.

Location of this unit can't be beat! Walking distance to everything. Unit needs a little work but the location makes up for it.

Situated right next to the Plains of Abraham, and along the Grande Allee, this property is perfect for exploring Quebec City. Everything you could want is within easy walking distance, and being along main routes (with parking included around, and at the rear of the building) it's easy to hop into the car for longer excursions. Even being along the Grande Allee I did not find it to be excessively loud, even sitting in the large front room we could only hear the loudest of vehicles; and even with another family staying on the upper level I rarely heard them. The owners were very responsive and quick to act upon our request. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

This comfortable property is in the perfect spot in beautiful Quebec City. Plains of Abraham is a enormous, lovely park just behind the property with beautiful river views, dozens of picnic spots, and winding walking trails. Quarter Montcalm, an artsy neighborhood with many restaurants, is a short stroll away. Old Quebec and its history and charm is just down the street. We couldn’t have been happier with the location.
The apartment itself is a wonderful resting spot between adventures. The beds are comfortable, kitchen is well equipped for simple meals, and the bathroom is top-notch.
We needed assistance with our travel and received the perfect solutions from Nina and Edward. Thank you!

We came for the Winter Carnival and couldn’t have asked for a better location! 5 minute walk from the festivities and an even shorter walk to several good restaurants!!

Walking distance to Old City. We spent most of the time in the living room. A little noisy but charming place. We would stay there again.

This flat was a great option. Well located within walking distance of the big historic park, 1 block away, as well as withing walking distance of the historic city center. town. The first floor unit meant no stairs to deal with. It had a cute front outdoor area too with 2 chairs and small cafe table, plus a bench and flowers. We were only there briefly, so didn't get to use the kitchen much, but could have comfortably stayed there for much longer. Nina went out of her way to work with our baggage for our early arrival. I would definately recomment it.

Within walking distance to everything, this 2 bedroom suite fit our group well. It is quaint, keeping the old style of decor. Lots of room to accommodate a family. It is equipped sufficiently so you can make a simple meal if you choose not to dine at one if the many restaurants within a block.

The location was great - just steps to a whole variety of restaurants, parks, bakeries, museums, etc. Proximity to Old Quebec City was great, just a short walk down the street. Parking was easy and convenient. The kitchen was a little limited with space and cooking implements but we were able to make do. The beds were comfortable.

The reviews misrepresented the property. It is a 19th century apartment which could have been a beautiful place, were it kept up and maintained properly. It needs a lot of work. However the location really is great.

Beyond the easy walk to restaurants, shops and Old Quebec City, this location also delivers a delightful, authentic sense of place. The host Nina is warm, welcoming and responsive. Parking is convenient and navigating to and from the property is easy, especially if taking day trips to surrounding points of interest like St Anne de Beaupre cathedral and Montmorency Falls. I enthusiastically recommend this property to anyone who enjoys a taste of living like a local and experiencing all the charms of Quebec City.

The apartment that we rented in Quebec was fantastic! It was clean and spacious and very close to anything we wanted to walk to. The proprietors provided pretty much anything we needed and even though it was very hot outside, it was cool inside both because of the air conditioning and also because it’s in an old stone home. Having parking available in the back of the building was extremely convenient. Others have noted that the living room was dark, but this problem could easily be addressed by adding some standing lamps. Nina was very responsive to questions.

The apartment was very charming. The location and ease of getting to different areas was great. The plains of Abraham park very close and many good restaurants near by. Only reason for my four star rating was a very loud group above us one night. Loved the ambiance of apartment and Quebec City.

Great location, charming old house so greatful our apartment was on the ground floor
10.0 / 10.0
The apartment was what we expected and the location was convenient. The only downside was that the apartment is on the ground floor and quite dark and moody. It was great for us, especially on the 90 degree days when it stayed nice and cool, but if you're sensitive to light deprivation it might not be for you. The old city was much more touristy than it was the last time we were there 30 years ago (cruise ships - ugh), but we enjoyed exploring Rue Cartier (turn left out of the apartment) where there were many restaurants, two great grocery stores and a liquor store - where the locals go to eat and shop!

Very nice surroundings, close to the old city of Quebec. Very clean, and refreshing. Suited our company of 4 well.

The property was well located for walking the city. It was clean, roomy, and had the amenities as described. The host was welcoming. We would definitely choose it again when we return.
10.0 / 10.0
The apartment was lovely. One bedroom is very small but worked just fine for us. An extra couple of comfy chairs in the living area would be helpful, but what is there is very comfy. The location was perfect. Walked to restaurants, to the old city. Would love to come back in the warm weather.

We were in the ground floor of a Victorian townhouse, just half a block from many excellent restaurants and two blocks from the main gate of the carnival( also just a few more blocks from Chateau Frontenac). The heat works well, considering that the weather was subzero. The prettiest part of the apartment was the bathroom, but the front parlor has some nice antique furniture. The mattresses were comfortable. The parking is just a few meters away behind the house and is well worth while in a city where the snow plows are larger than some houses. There was cutlery and dishes and microwave and stove for warming foods. It’s a very small kitchen if you intended to really cook dinner.

Our stay at Grande Allee was awesome! It is ideally located to walk to the old part of Quebec City or to day trip to skiing at Mont Sainte Anne and Le massif and tubing at Valcartier. It is so close to so many awesome Boulangeries, amazing restaurants and just great sights in Quebec City at Christmas time. Nina was a great host and really helped us with a booking issue (our fault; not the property Owner). We will definitely return when we come back next Christmas!
