Would appreciate extra face clouth for our second night as well as extra coffee.

Could not gain access to the property as it has an un manned desk. Should have received a code to access property, but did not. Tried to contact proprietor via mail and telephonically with no luck. Communicated with Hotels.com representative who also could not make contact with proprietor, she was going to arrange cancellation and refund

The best part of the staff was the housekeeper (shame on me for not getting her name), who was great about getting us into our room when we arrived early, and who checked in on us during our stay and who was just a wonderful human. The place has a virtual front desk, so there's no one on duty at the property, so she was a lifeline. No dining/bar facilities - it's kind of like a B&B where the owners are nowhere to be found.
That said, the old house exudes charm and our room was very comfortable and for some inexplicable reason, it had a table that was set for two - kinda strange. But it came in handy our first night, which was cold and blustery and when my wife didn't want to go out again, I picked up pizza, salad and wine (glasses available in the basement "kitchen") and we had a comfy place to eat and enjoy each other's company.
All in all, a fun stay and the price was right.

Great hotel. Staff very responsive whenever I had a question, even though there was nobody on site. Very quite room, despite busy street sometimes at night. Thanks to all staff!
4.6
Absolutely beautiful hotel. It was so romantic and I loved every second of being there. The tub was a plus, and the four poster bed was amazing.
4.6
Lovely hotel in the heart of Quebec with easy access to nearly everything. There was an easy checkin process although there is no official front desk. Our only problem was service. Our room was never made up upon request which means we ran out of towels, coffee and toilet paper on a three night stay. I rummaged around a closet in the hall to find some more coffee but for the rest we were simply out of luck. So nice quaint hotel with no frills.
4.6
Lovely hotel within the old town. Great location, easy access and handy to everything. Private parking is available.
4.6
Great pick. Right in the middle of what you came to see. Parking is limited but public parking is close and and affordable.

Had to park two blocks away. $25 per day. No staff on site. Dirty dishes in basement kitchen sink for days. Had trouble with safe when checking out. Called but no one ever called back or came. Have called twice since leaving about shoes left in the room. No one has called back. Third floor room was dark and cold. Location of hotel was excellent, but service was not existent.
4.6
Great location, surrounded by lots of restaurants. Room was very spacious and clean. Easy access from all the instructions.

We were traveling with parents with mobility issues and specifically requested a ground floor room. Unfortunately when we arrived the keypad for their room didn't work. Since there is no staff on-site I emailed, texted and tried calling three times before I finally reached someone. They assumed we had entered the code incorrectly which felt insulting as we had easily entered our room on the second floor and it wasn't a complicated process. When I finally convinced them the key pad didn't work, they had to send someone with a key. It was a very poor experience for our parents and that was very disappointing to us as we had gifted them the room.

Mattress was too soft. Wifi was terrible. Decorating was very stodgy.

I would love to be able to rate this hotel but 2 days before our arrival we were told that our room had a water leak and they offered us another hotel 1/2 mile away from Los clos saint-Louis ànd outside old Quebec. As we were already on vacation we just accepted the replacement as we didn’t have time to research at that point. They added breakfast at the new hotel but it was horrible service ànd messed up orders so we didn’t use it the rest of our stay. The new hotel also had no desk service anytime we stopped by except for the afternoon we registered. In addition the street was closed off all weekend to cars so we couldn’t even drop off our luggage in front of the hotel. Everytime we walked by the Saint-Louis we wondered what our Etsy there would have been like

We had a wonderful time. The location is excellent for easy access to restaurants, the castle and shops. We will return. Parking was the only drawback.

The property & stay was excellent! But I was cheated by Expedia on the price of the booking by $700
Therefore I am not impressed & will not use Expedia again!

The hotel is a converted antique mansion with beautiful furniture, air conditioning, and a very restful place to be at the end of a day of touring and shopping. Excellent restaurants just down the street and lots to do and see.

Historical room decorations .Very convenient location.
4.6
We had a comfortable stay here. Unique property and VERY centrally located in Old Quebec.
4.6
Lovely hotel in the historic neighborhood. Very quiet. Limited parking available but garage parking nearby. I have 4 stars for service because other than housekeeping there were no staff at the hotel. We didn't have any issues once we checked in, so there was no problem. I had called and left two messages days prior to arriving and didn't receive a call back.

Beautiful old hotel located steps from everything great about old Québec City. Thank you!

Great location to visit old Quebec. Charming old building.
However, No staff on-site. Unable to adjust the AC in the room.
4.6
Wonderful location from which to explore Quebec City. Classic hotel property. Very comfortable room, especially the bed. Nicely decorated and very clean.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Walkable distance to many attractions. Staff were very helpful virtually.

This is a self-check in property. We did not receive the door code needed to get into the property, our room number or the room code. We called the number that was very hard to find and was able to finally get in. We also helped two other couples who also did not receive their info leaving them stranded outside the door.
A simple sign with the phone number would have been helpful. Sending the info via email and not just a text message would have also been helpful. The room was delightful and the location was amazing!
4.6
It was very close to many restaurants.
4.6
Extremely helpful staffs.

Kind of like staying at your rich, old, grandmother's place (if you had one).
Arrived by Via Rail in July with my wife for a romantic stay. It is a short walk to and from the train station, but you should be prepared to walk up and down some extremely inclined streets. There is no concierge and I was supposed to receive a self check in email earlier with details/codes to enter the building and our room. On the evening prior to departure, I called to request this information and the agent prompted an email with these details at this time. Fortunately, I was also given a backup code to the room because the original code didn't work. Upon entry, the hotel looks quite fancy and glamorous. There was an old, Victorian feel right from the lobby, up the creeky spiral stairs and in the room itself. The room was very clean and the decor was just done over the top. Plenty of essential bathroom amenities, but the bathroom itself was quite small and tight. Nespresso machine didn't work, nor did the cable/tv. There is no in-room fridge, microwave or bottled water. They did a fine job refreshing the room upon request after 2 days. The rooms and hallway don't insulate sound very well, so creeking floors and chatter can be heard of guests aren't respectful. Well located close to many restaurants, Chateau Frontenac, river, etc.
Overall, a nice, clean accomodation and centrally located, but definitely not very modern and lacks some amenities and service of other hotels. Well-priced though.

Quaint hotel close to everything in Old Quebec. We will be back!

With no person on site the service was sketchy. Requested a lightbulb in the bathroom. Never showed up. Expensive for an entirely self service facility.
4.6
Excellent location. Quiet and comfortable. Query about the room safe was dealt with quickly. Milk / cream not replenished and room not serviced despite hang out sign to do so on door. Good place to stay.
4.6
It was very well kept for 1854 property m

Location was excellent. Water pressure good. Room clean.
Did not like parking situation/ lack of! Did not like, not having a staffed front desk. Staircases are steep- no elevator. Cabinet which held clean towels on 3rd floor was broken- doors constantly fell at our feet. A/C in room worked fine but filter should be cleaned. No chairs to sit on as shown in room picture sent to us. Other than bed we only had a foot stool and wooden desk chair to sit on. TV was kept in cabinet which had to be kept closed in order to assess bathroom. Sink in bathroom did not drain well. No fridge in room. The guests were often times fending for ourselves or getting help from other guest concerning property questions/ concerns. No ice available on our floor only down stairs in a staffroom- not convenient, plus no large ice buckets only small wine bottle holder. No food on premises and only one vending machine for beverages but also no indication as to where vending machine is- it is tucked away in basement??
Restaurants are a couple minutes walk but once closed, you are stuck to wait for beverages or snacks. Be prepared!!

You should expect something along the lines of your Aunt Millie’s Victorian home. Lovely furniture. Quiet rooms. Electronic access to enter from outside and to your room. No on site staff except cleaning people. The shower is actually a massive jet tub that you have to somehow enter without a grab bar, which I found very difficult. Lots of shelf room in the bathroom for my stuff. Mini fridge and coffee maker. I recommend the hotel get some more of the standard size coffee pods instead of the tiny espresso ones. Close to plenty of great restaurants. I would visit again.
4.6
It was nice but there was no one at the front desk, we had to text for anything we needed. The AC dripped water quite a bit. Otherwise it was a nice stay.
4.6
It was cute, quaint and comfortable. 4 flights on a spiral staircase. No elevator. We were informed prior. I was the cutest room. We loved it.
4.6
The property is beautiful . Close to restaurants and shopping .
4.6
Loved this place. But no one on site to help with problems. Definitely dont recommend for older, English only tourists who might struggle with texting only communication.
4.6
Great staff and location!!!!! Just be aware there is no elevation and no food available on this property. However, Restaurants just steps away
4.6
The hotel was wonderful. My only complaint was the lack of personnel at the front desk. We were able to communicate through text but I prefer face to face help.
4.6
The interior design keeps the old world charm. It makes walking up the stairs worth it.
