Its got beds, a small Tv, small kitchen, and a few other amenities. We didnt expect snow but we got some on the way up, the home had plenty of space for us to dry off and warm up. Home gets warm quick, so easy on the thermostat.
5 minutes from grocery stores and 10 from downtown. Enjoyed our stay.

Had a really great stay– everything was great about the place! We didn't have the issue with the cleanliness like the other reviews mentioned. Everything was cleaned and the beds were freshly made and all was tidy! The only weird part was getting a long message from the owner before check-in that was a little inappropriate and threatening. It contained some personal information that seemed unrelated and also had a lengthy paragraph about how the neighbors are quick to call the police for any noises and people have been arrested and put in jail. Here's the last sentence of the very long "welcome" text:"You, or members of your party, may be inconvenienced by having to return to Truckee for a court appearance and be fined. If you want to party, Reno is only 26 miles away"A short reminder to remain respectful of the neighbors would have sufficed but that giant paragraph made us feel pretty unwelcome before we got there. We had absolutely no issue with the neighbors. Nonetheless, still had a great weekend at this place and spent quality snow time with friends!

We were a party of 9 (five adults, 4 kids) and this cabin was a comfortable fit for four nights. Beds were roomy and the bunk beds in the loft have been upgraded to queen bunks, which we were pleasantly surprised to see. Plenty of extra blankets, a bookcase full of books, the garage had ping-pong tables, and there were assorted toys/boardgames available. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking supplies, which we appreciated.
The cabin was unfortunately not cleaned prior to our arrival, which the owner stated had not happened in the five years since he had been using this particular house cleaner person. He offered a partial refund for our trouble of having to do a load of wash and make our own beds upon arrival. Though inconvenient and unexpected, this situation did not detract from our overall vacation.
Some things that may be helpful for others to know when booking this cabin:
1. The water heater has a "vacation" setting, this should be dialed to the "normal" setting, so that the water hot. We were not aware of this setting the first night and had lukewarm showers.
2. If you have a large group, ie, more than ~4 people, you may want to bring your own towels. There were only 5-6 towels available in the cabin. The linen cabinet, where presumably extra towels would be kept - is empty.
3. Bring your own shampoo, soap, toiletries for the bathrooms.
Would we stay here again? Yes, the location is excellent to skiing, which we had come here for.

A well loved family cabin. Was great for our small family. All beds seemed relatively new which was a nice surprise. One shower sliding door needed to be fixed. Overall, very comfortable and convenient to town and resorts.

I wish I could give this cabin 5 stars.
Some of the cons:
- The downstairs bathroom door did not lock which was very inconvenient, considering there was many of us. Every time someone had to use the downstairs bathroom, they had to shout it out so nobody would open the door, since it did not lock.
- The downstairs shower only had 1 of 2 sliding doors. So, at the time of showering, you have to leave the sliding door in the middle so that not "all" the water gets outside because everything gets wet.
- There was no shampoo, conditioner, or soap. Thankfully we brought our own but I think that should be something complimentary for the guests.
- There was only one towel on each bathroom.
- One roll of toilet paper on both bathrooms (downstairs and upstairs).
- It would have been nice if they had salt for the ice in the driveway. I did not see any and the driveway gets really icy and it is also sort of in a hill, which makes it dangerous and a safety hazard.
Pros:
- The kitchen was very clean and nice, easy to use!
- Although the cabin looks a lot bigger in the pictures, it is very cozy and homey so it's perfect to have a great time with close family/friends.
- Location was perfect, 10 minutes away from downtown Truckee and about 5 minutes away from the freeway which is amazing!
Overall, I think the cabin was great for the price. If they were to improve the things listed above, it would get 5 stars! If you do not mind any of the cons, cabin is great for the listed price!

NO HOT WATER for the entire stay, carpets stained and dirty you have to wear socks at a minimum to keep you feet clean (FOUND THAT OUT WHEN MY 21 MONTH OLDS FEET WERE BLACK FROM RUNNING AROUND), empty fire extinguishers, broken gates, no outdoor furniture or lights to enjoy the deck that also has a broken gate. Do NOT bring young children here. Had to book a hotel room nearby in order to shower before the event we traveled across the country to be at. The list goes on and on, cleaning fees for a house that hasn’t been cleaned and makes you undress the beds before you leave or they threaten additional fees. Appliances that date back to the 90s, windows you can’t see through because of more stains, no clue how the windows are stained but here we are…. Managed by “EVOLVE” refused to give more than a 20% refund because they felt that was fair given the circumstances.
“ I understand this was not the resolution you were looking for. I have reviewed this case with a supervisor. After carefully reviewing all details and documentation available, we have determined no additional refund beyond what has already been provided will be forthcoming. The compensation already processed is fair and reasonable and within the normal range for similar experiences given the details of the case.”
Owner blamed me for not being more diligent about my communication with the broken water heater, I was at the event we traveled for on the day he assumed I fixed the water heater myself…..

The location is great for skiing Boreal and Sugar Bowl. The cabin is comfortable and has a fun, woodsy-feel with plenty of space for up to 8 people. The kitchen was well-equipped with plenty of dishes, utensils, and kitchen tools.

Nice cabin. 3 nice bedrooms with super comfy beds. Garage available for parking a car. Outside deck view is not the best and stairs going down from deck kinda wobbly. Kitchen is well equipped. Overall the cabin pleasant and well cleaned.

Nice place. Plenty of room. Wish there was more outdoor space. The cleaning lady left all the needed towels in the dryer. We couldn't find them until the 2 nd day.

This house has 3 bedrooms and one loft space. Not 5 bedroom as described. But besides this everything works out. Beds are comfortable and neighborhood is quiet. The host did a good job cleaning. The house is not very up to date but it is very clean. Kitchen functions well and there are some cooking essentials like olive oil, salt, spices available. Plenty of cups/plates/pots/pans/bowls/spoons/forks.
In short it was a very nice 4-night stay for us. We are a group of 9 people and completely occupied every room and the loft space. We cooked a lot for dinners and breakfasts. We enjoyed the house. The two car garage is nice.

I took my teenage kids up for a quick weekend ski trip. We all loved the place and had we spent more time, probably could have taken advantage of the books and games. The kitchen had everything we needed too. Great place - highly recommend!

The place was good and cozy. The downfall was that the garage was about a foot open and when we tried to close it, it would not work. We had to manually close it to avoid freezing the place up. The tree leaning on the house was a bit freaky but that is mother nature. The locks to the restroom did not work so we had to make sure no one was to run in on you.
Overall everything turned out great and made the best out of it.
Thank you for everything!

We had a great time. We were snowed in and had to dig our car out. Apparently no snow service is provided for the property. It’s really needed during heavy snow. We got assistance from a neighbor who worked for the Highway. A huge thank you for arranging to clear the driveway and area in front of the house!

My family and I enjoyed ourselves at this property, plenty of room for the 10 of us. Kitchen was stocked and there was plenty of blankets if needed. We brought our own items but it was nice that there were things if we needed it. I would definitely like to come back. Thanks for sharing your home.

Although it is not a fancy remodel house, it is clean and the location could not be better for snow play at boreal. Hand soap bottle kind of broken, but I brought my own, so I didn't mind. It would be more convenient if the closet of all the stocking is accessible, since the staff could accidentally forget to restock some items. Back yard has a lot of snow, kids had fun playing snow sled.

Cute place, perfect for eight people. It’s a well used cabin, fair amount of wear and tear seen from prior rentals. Well stocked, clean, quiet neighborhood, and perfect for our weekend getaway of six adults. Three private bedrooms, two full bathrooms, games, dvds, and vhs tapes provided. Would stay again.

Great home in an easy location to get to downtown, slopes or the highway.
Covered entrance and handy entrance door to laundry area prevented tracking snow all over the house.
Plenty of room, big beds, good heating. Nice kitchen. Could have used more baking dishes or a baking sheet and forks but we made do.
Nice house with great deck and pretty trees.

The contact was friendly but we rented for 3 nights and checked out after one. I know there is something for older cabins and I’m fine with that. This has nothing to do with decor or age. It’s all complete cleanliness. If was filthy. The first thing when you walk in is see the return air duct. Big, on the wall. There was dirt covering it, the wall around it. The bathrooms had old hairbrush in the drawer with hair, looked like boogers around the master bedroom on the walls. Walls were filthy, it was just not clean. Surface clean I guess. The flannel sheets with print made me feel like I wondered if they were even washed. I appreciate the house lady for getting balloons for my husband and I sent her a check for reimbursement, that was very nice of her I notified the contact the next day that we checked out the second morning and he didn’t even ask why. I took pictures and I am just sad that we had to pay for a cabin for three then after one, drive to get a hotel for two more nights.

The place was superficially clean but really needed some maintenance, for example the windows which had could not be looked out as the seals were broken and clouded the view. I had to contact the manager as the code would not work. He had forgotten to email me updated information. He asked me to take out the six bags of unsealed garbage bags in the garage. I declined to do this and he said he would take care of it. It was stinky and never removed for my entire stay.
