Treat yourself to a classic Door County get-away. North Haven is nestled on one of the quietest stretches of beach along Lake Michigan. Enjoy breathtaking sunrises, quiet walks, and the sound of waves at night. You might even spot a pair of nesting bald eagles just to the south.

The cottage is located between Jacksonport and Baileys Harbor. This location allows you to enjoy the "Quietside" of Door County with easy access to such attractions as Whitefish Dunes State Park, Maxwelton Braes Golf Course and Cana Island Lighthouse. While there are many excellent shops and restaurants nearby, the Green Bay side of Door county is just minutes away.

North Haven has a fully equipped kitchen, a great room with fireplace, and recently remodeled bathroom. There's a queen size bed in one of the bedrooms and a triple bunk bed in the other. The great room has a sleeper sofa. You can watch your favorite movies on a DVD player. There is wifi so that you can access email. The cottage can be heated should the weather turn unseasonably cold. North Haven is a housekeeping cottage. Blankets and pillows are there for your use. Linens and towels are not provided. Guests have access to a deck for conversation or a relaxing meal overlooking Lake Michigan. North Haven is the perfect place to unwind and step back from our busy lives.

Beautiful beach setting with plenty of sand and surf. Every day was picture perfect. Bring your fly repellent because the sand flies can be aggressive at certain times. The boathouse deck is a great alternative to the beach to get away from the heat and sun. We brought our own comfortable folding chairs, but there’s also plenty of outdoor seating provided. The cabin was a bit rustic, with very small bedrooms and no closets. The bathroom is really a single with a hallway through the middle. One side is a half bath, the other houses a really nice corner shower & small sink area. This cabin is perfect for a couple with children. The open kitchen, dining and living room is the best paet of the cabin. Spacious with a vaulted ceiling throughout. The kitchen is on one end and a stone wood burning fireplace on the other. The kitchen was very functional and nicely appointed except most of the dishes were not microwaveable. The WiFi was weak, no TV streaming, but they are working to improve that in the area. Our phones worked fine, but we unplugged for the most part. The owners provided plenty of wood for beach campfires. Overall It was a relaxing weekend for our party of two senior couples.

We’ve been coming up for years before and after kids. It’s always clean and a great stay. The beach is unbeatable and hearing the waves every night on the porch is what vacation is about. We feel so lucky to have found this gem.

This trip was our fourth year at the quietside cottages. There is a reason we come back year after year. The location is wonderful for our family of four, with two under 12. The beach is gorgeous and supplied us with many hours of great fun, morning and night. The house is well kept and very clean. The new updated kitchen makes the house feel even more spacious. Jill is very responsive and helpful with any and all of our needs. I can’t say enough good things about our stay. Making memories year after year, we are blessed to have found this beautiful place.

We have stayed in this cottage every year for about 35 years, and it just gets better and better. Larry and Jill have made a number of improvements over the years and it is quite comfortable and in a great location. If you like Door County and L. Michigan beaches then it is perfect.

Driving up, North Haven is the cutest little cottage from the outside and then upon entering it just gets better. I did not expect the view of Lake Michigan to be so good and it exceeded what we wanted. We spent a lot of time down by the beach. Already planning our next trip back!

We loved our stay at North Haven. The cabin was tidy and essentials were provided, including movies and blocks for the kids. Neighbors were a bit close but not a problem. One morning I sat on the beach for sunrise over an hour and only 1 guy walked past otherwise I had the whole beach to myself. This place is a true gem and communication with owners couldn't have been better.

We have stayed here for at least 30 years. Took children and friends at beginning and now taking grandchildren. We love the neighborhood, very quiet, very few people on beach during week. Have our favorite things to do: bike Peninsula park, go to nature center, cave point, The Farm and of course get ice cream. Always great week

This was our 30th year staying at both North Haven and the Beachfront cottage. We have three families that we divide between the two cottages every summer for two weeks. The Beachfront cottage is a sweet space and has an amazing view of Lake Michigan. It is cozy and comfortable and includes all the amenities that you would want. If you are looking to unwind, relax and fall asleep to the sound of the waves, I highly recommend you book this place.

We really enjoyed our time at North Haven. The cabin was just as described, the hosts gracious and attentive and of course the experience definitive of the best Door County has to offer. Highly recommend to anyone fortunate enough to make this locale home for a spell and absolutely hope to be back one day.

This property is clearly beloved by its owners and by its visitors. We very much enjoyed the space, the nostalgia and getting back to the basics of spending quality time with family. The fireplace, views, sounds and beach are amazing and we had a magical time with our children. So important to be with them in a place like this in order to unplug, decompress and share the love. We should mention to any future renters that you do share a deck with other renters who may be utilizing the beach house next to the North Haven cottage. Other renters are visible and occasionally walk by your windows/doors. We were fortunate to have wonderful co-renters during our stay, but felt it necessary to note if you are looking for more privacy. Thank you to the owners for sharing your place, we appreciate it:)

This property is all the owner and the reviews say it is and more. The owners have a wonderfully maintained beach cabin. We enjoyed the vacation pace, the quiet, the beach, the beach swing, the fire pit, the grill on the deck and the peacefulness of the surroundings. We had a week of being unplugged and enjoying the beautiful outdoors. You are centrally located in Door County so you're not far from anything. The cabin is well equipped and maintained. Definitely will visit again.

I cant say enough about this cabin or it’s location. It was exactly what we needed: a charming cabin with a private beach access on a very quiet bay nestled in the woods. One of the most simple and yet very best vacations my family has been on. The cabin was very well taken care of, and very clean (which was extremely important to me). We went to the beach multiple times a day to walk on the quiet beach, play in the sand and swim. We saw very few people as only people who have access to the cove are those staying directly on the beach. We loved sitting in the cabin at night reading and hearing the sound of the waves. It is obvious that this cabin is loved and cared for by the owners and the many regulars who stay every year. My family and I intend on joining in the yearly tradition and we can’t wait to go back.

We could not have been more happy with our stay at Quiet Side. It was just what my family needed during such a stressful time in the world. The house was incredibly clean and cute. And having a private beach, especially during Covid, was just absolutely beautiful and amazing. We were able to enjoy some outdoor restaurants and got takeout from several place as well. All delicious! We all enjoyed exploring the peninsula and hiking. I even went for a few runs and took in the beautiful scenery of a nearby farm. We cannot wait to return!!!

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin on the Quiet side of Door County. We loved being so close to the lake and listening to the sound of the waves. The cabin was comfortable and the perfect place for a long weekend in Door County. The weekend was rainy & chilly so the wood burning fireplace was especially nice. If the weather was nicer we would have liked building a fire on the beach and looking at the stars from the swing on the beach. Would like to return to this cabin in the summer.

Sweet lil cabin overlooking the beach. Loved being able to see some water and hear the waves on the beach but being nestled and cozy in the trees! Very clean cabin. Loved the big picnic table for the family to sit at inside. The swing on the beach was the best! Used a few of the beach toys and had a few bonfires. Would love to stay here again!! Thank you so much!!

The cabin is clean and cozy and the view is wonderful. A fire inside during the morning and a fire on the beach at night. Everything you need is at the cabin and you are close to all the wonders of Door County!

We came to Door County to ride bikes, hike some trails, (and eat pie, of course). We chose this cabin because of its location. We usually prefer the lakeside, and it's really easy to bike around this area of the county. When we got to the cabin, we were so delighted. It's cute, super clean, and had great amenities. The swing on the beach was our favorite place to have our morning coffee. We also found the kitchen to be user friendly for when we cooked meals in. I really recommend this cabin, and would definitely stay here again.
