Location, pool
Accommodation- restaurant close early, no place to eat after 8pm. No bottled H2O in the room. Big flies in the dining area
Inconsistent H2O temp at the shower. Some of the electric outlet doesn’t match the plugs. Hair dryer broken. Hair dryer back up doesn’t match the outlet. Mosquitoes in the spa. Doors slams hard and make loud noise.
The previous experience was different from the last time we stayed.

Facilities, it’s clean and very comfy beds
I just noticed that the water heater from the shower automatically gets cold from time to time I guess it’s not a good idea because we need to wait for the water to get hot again then continue my bath it’s totally a waste of water, and when the balcony is open the aircon automatically turned off we didn’t notice it right away I thought the aircon is not working

As always the amenities are good.
Food in resto is great as well.
I like the small cakes waiting in our room when we got there.
I requested for an extended stay up to 7pm (similar request before).
But front desk said they are fully booked.
Which is a little bit surprising since I didnt think there were a lot of people. (there were more people in my previous booking). So I was able to compare.

The maintenance of the hotel is not really good. Housekeeping should improve

The place is good. The cafe is exceptional in terms of ambiance.
The staff. They usually group themselves in the frontdesk and mumble.

Exceptional service, accommodation, food and location. It’s a perfect hideaway!!! We actually ended up staying for three nights instead of only one. Their staff is the GEM of the hotel.

the view is fantastic
too expensive for the price, when i ask for complimentary coffee and tea they said there is an extra charge. the breakfast is not delicious. it’s worth for your money.

Pets are welcome in this property without discrimination. I was with 3 of my furbabies and they enjoyed our quick birthday getaway. Charges are reasonable. I just hope they have a resto of cafe that allows pet owners and their babies to eat and relax overlooking taal lake and no need to go outside the hotel to do so.
The free breakfast is just average. Coffee is great though.

We choose the hotel because of its location and to give it a try. We are attending a function in Fernwood Gardens Tagaytay and the Twin Lakes is nearby if you are coming from southwest part of Batangas. The hotel also has a commanding view of Taal Lake and the mountain ridge of Laurel, Batangas.
Check-in process is too long, as there is only one guy attending to incoming guests. This is totally different to our experience to our favorite and regular hotel in Tagaytay.
We booked for a premier room (with a lake view) and since we have to rush to drop our luggage and proceed to Fernwood, I was not able to check the veranda. We arrived late in the evening and I just realized that we don't have the view of Taal Lake. I raised this concern when we checked out and I was told that the premier rooms are all in the mountain wing and don't have the lake view - information which are not clear during booking, or even explained by the reception staff. Further, our booking information, clearly states that we need a king-size bed (as we are a couple) but we were given twin beds. We came in late from the event in Fernwood, and the only reason we book a hotel is for us to have a place to change clothes and spend the night, and rest a bit. We could have slept better in a king-size bed.
And speaking of the bed - the headboard needs cleaning as you can see molds already coating the metal rivets (see photos).
The information about the room says that there is a safety deposit box - it's not there.
Our room is located at Level 5 and near the pool are (so it's a bit noisy). Further, guests are returning to their rooms dripping with water from the pool, so the hallway carpets are wet and smelly. I hope that Twin Lakes imposed some rules for guest who are using the pool, I did not check the pool area so I don't know if there are lockers where people can change clothes before and after using the pool.
The bathroom floor (shower area) is too shallow, when taking a shower, water spill out and make the floor slippery - to dangerous.
Breakfast area is crowded specially on weekends. Good that our booking does note include breakfast, so just we decided to drive out of the hotel and took breakfast outside.

convenient, facilities & staff

staffs were courteous and well-trained. room has a good and spacious balcony, air conditioning is adequate, bed is firm and well lit hotel.
breakfast buffet could have more options than the usuals. hotel should provide traffic guide or security guard on the entrance, along the highway to ensure road safety of guests arriving and leaving the premise ( quite a curve and dangerous to motorists).
