The location was perfect for our needs. We used the accommodation as a base.
Nothing, it was nice to stay in an apartment compared to a hotel.
4.2
The location, the whole feel of the place, the comfy beds and couches and the value for money !
A few more things in the kitchen such as a little peeling knife , some aluminium foil and glad wrap...
The light between the two beds could not be used because someone forced the plug .

Love the era of building. Location was great
It wasn’t spotless

Great location. Pretty decoration. Beautiful views.
It was quite cold when we stayed and the heaters weren't that powerful.
4.2
Close proximity to esplanade restaurants & shopping
Cosy apartment with all facilities
Kitchen & bathroom badly need updating to align with pricing of apartment

The location
The wardrobe was very dirty with a thick floor of dust, cobwebs over the bedroom pictures and around most ceilings, there was only a dirty sponge to wash the dishes, - I think a clean washing cloth could have been provided - just one small pack of longlife milk, a few old tea vags and a scrapping of coffee powder were provided - no decaf coffee, fresh milk etc. Just a few little touches and a good clean would have made a much better impression.

Both the location and the window view of the ocean were great/lovely. The living room decor was pleasant, and the heating was satisfactory.
Where do I start! We arrived at 5pm to find that the apartment had not been serviced after the previous guests, i.e., the bed and bathroom, etc, had not been cleaned. After calling the property owners, Yolanda apologised and explained that she had forgotten to book a cleaner. (Not sure how this oversight would happen when you're running an accommodation business, which includes seven properties, as said by Darren).
We were grateful that we made a last minute decision to drop off our luggage before going out for dinner, and therefore arriving much later when it was more likely that a cleaner would not be available to attend.)
Whilst waiting for the cleaner to arrive and make ready the apartment, the owners' son arrived and gave us a bottle of red wine as an acknowledgement of the inconvenience and passed on his mother's apologies.
During a later communication with the owner regarding a request for a part-refund of the accommodation cost, I was informed that because we had accepted the bottle of wine the most they could refund was $20 in addition to a $40 bottle of wine (as said to be valued by Yolanda). For the $20 refund, we would need to wait until they return home from their holiday in Paris.
Our weekend away was a long anticipated girls trip, the first since before covid. And, to arrive three hours after the designated earliest check-in time to find the apartment dirty was a disappointment. As for the alleged $40 bottle of De Bortoli Vivo Shiraz, aussieliquor.com.au retail the same for $7.95 and another website $13.95. Given that two of us don't drink alcohol, it wasn't considered by us as compensation for the disappointment and inconvenience. The owner's response to that point was that we had accepted the wine. The value of the wine was taken into consideration as compensation versus being a goodwill gesture as an apology, as was explained by their son when he handed it over.

Loved the ambience. Set perfectly just wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy it he facilities to the full.
Can't think really. Husband had a whinge one of the light fittings hung too low - it was fine!😁

Close to Geelong Waterfront and city center with views of the bay. Also close to Botanical Gardens.
Some people may not like the 'retro' look of the place as it hasn't had any updates since built in about 1950!! Ohh! It does have reverse cycle air con!! There is a gas heater that works very well too.
However, everything works just fine anyway, and the price reflects the fact that you are not getting anything ultra-modern, but you are getting a great location!

The location with a view. The 1930’s vibe.
Wish we stayed longer.

Location and comfortable beds
We had trouble connecting to wifi. Finally, after wasting an hour or so, found that the wifi button on the modem was not pressed. Don’t need this hassle. Same with having to find a heater for the second bedroom. The place was very cold when we arrived.
We could have done with some local info like. Where is the nearest Woolies or Coles. Where can we get we get Pizza and or have it delivered reliably. Restaurants close by you would recommend for breakfast!

The location is amazing, the house super cozy, loads of street parking and smooth easy process.

The view was excellent great location.pleasant surroundings.
The person in the unit ( I found out eventually) above blocked our car in by parking a car in front of our garage and I spent fifteen minutes knocking on everyone's door trying to find out which unit owned the offending car, not a good start to our day and I was informed by one of his neighbors this happens all the time , it's a situation that needs to be addressed so its not an on going problem for future guests .

Location excellent, comfort excellent, felt like home. We have stayed here a few times now.
Noisy cars throughout the night driving past. Revved up engines at all hours.

Parking.
Smelly. Dirt and dust everywhere especially in the wardrobe.Opened wardrobe and shut it as quickly as possible. Filthy ironing board. Inside of kitchen cupboard sticky with dirt. I could write an essay on the grime and lack of care. See photos which speak for themselves. It was difficult to choose four from the ones l took.. Should have gone on initial impression and asked Booking.com for a refund but for various reasons we were decided to stay put. My mistake. Went and bought a scented candle hoping it would help and went for a long walk and dinner. Lingered in the restaurant till we were last table left to minimise time in the apartment. It was worse when we got back and switched on the lights (the ones that worked) full of dead flies. Lots of traffic noise . At least the sheets were clean. Had a quick shower to wash off the smell of the shower and left at the dawn. Worst accommodation ever. Can't believe its even on Booking.com. Don't trust their rating system after this horrible experience.

Nicely decorated, comfortable and close to everything
Coffee was a solid lump, same with sugar, so assumed tea bags were the same age. Left some fresh coffee and teabags

Just a few things that were dirty - cutlery and glasses were dirty

We loved that just down the hill there was a lovely cafe. The views and location was beautiful.

The beds are too soft, spring not supportive, always sink in to centre. Bathroom and kitchen are really dated. A buddas status set at the bathroom window, not comfortable.
