Très bel hôtel, magnifique plage, mais service déplorable

Le design de l’hôtel est très beau, et il bien placé, en bord de mer, avec un superbe beach deck en face de l’eau turquoise. La plage est nettoyée tous les jours face à l’hôtel. Le service à la plage est efficace.

Nous n’avons pas eu de chance avec la chambre (Mangle 5). Nous savions qu’elle n’avait pas de vue mer, mais elle donnait sur l’arrière de l’hôtel, où sont entassés les algues en putréfaction et les détritus. L’odeur était telle que nous ne pouvions pas utiliser le balcon, ni même ouvrir la fenêtre. Nous nous sommes plaint au personnel de l’hôtel, mais ils n’ont rien fait pour compenser ceci. Par ailleurs, la chambre se trouvait juste au dessus de la loge des employés, qui faisaient beaucoup de bruit dès 6h du matin. Impossible de dormir sans boules Quies. Après de longues négociations, l’hôtel a fini par nous concéder un massage de 30min chacun. Finalement, le service au petit déjeuner était lent et pas professionnel. L’attitude du personnel ne correspond pas à un hôtel 5 étoiles, il y a d’importantes lacunes au niveau du management.

A quiet yet connected stay on such a lovely island!

The staff were incredible and the options for dining include the main restaurant, sushi restaurant and coffee shop were some of our best meals on the island. Our room did not disappoint and we took advantage of the facilities including the pool, gym and private beach with service.

We had a great stay! The only suggestion I would make is to be able to have food/drink service at the pool [albeit the restaurant being right next door].

Fantastic hotel. Maybe the best in Holbox. But noisy guests above.

We really liked the clean beach, nice pool and great room. The gym was very high standard with a lot of equipment.

We stayed in the Deluxe room. It was very noisy from the hotel guests above. You can hear literally everything.

MOUSES AND ROACHES EVERYWHERE IN THE HOTEL!!!

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! STAY AWAY FROM NIGHTMARE PLACE!! THERE WERE 2 GIANT MOUSE IN THE HOTEL CORRIDORS AND 1 GIAND MOUSE IN OUR ROOM TRYING TO EAT OUR COOKIES IN THE ROOM!! WE ALSO SAW MULTIPLE HUGE ROACHES IN THE ROOM AND THEIR HORRIBLE RESTAURANT!!! WORST HOTEL MANAGER “ANAHI” WAS NOT STILL AT THE HOTEL AT 11AM IN THE MORNING AND SHE REFUSED TALKING US OVER THE PHONE AND SHE REPLIED US VIA TEXT MESSAGES SHE SENT TO RECEPTIONIST!!! WE WILL SHARE OUR TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE ON ALL OTHER PLATFORMS INCLUDING TRIPADVISOR AND SOCIAL MEDIA UNTIL THIS MISERABLE “ANAHI” CALLS US AND APOLOGIZE.

An amazing place, absolute bliss

Facilities fantastic Beach spotless and so close to the hotel. Beach beds, hammocks really good quality Food excellent

Only thing was ww felt the wine was excessively expensive. Cheapest bottle €70 and felt there should have been a slightly cheaper option to compliment the excellent food

Excellent experience and a wonderful place to visit.

The hotel styling was very appealing and something special for holidays. Breakfast was nice and with good choice. Quiet part of the island so very relaxing and enjoyable. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Beach bar separate from the beach and isolated a little. Difficult to get beach beds as people reserving beds from early morning with their beach towels. The hotel had a non-reserve bed/towel policy but it wasn’t implemented.

Todo. El personal es super amable, la clase de yoga fue ideal, la decoración, la playa súper cuidada, la atención al cliente y la comida y bebida. Están en todos los detalles y eso se nota.

Creo que el personal trabaja demasiado. Puedes ver a las mismas personas por la mañana temprano hasta la noche. Además no hay suficientes camareros en mi opinión.

Serious health and safety issues

Nothing

The hotel is located between a river and the sea. The river floods constantly into the hotel premises with 40cm of water flood. The bathroom stop working which has to do with the dirt colour of the water. We asked to leave as it was unhealthy to be there and they have refused to reimbiurse our money . The place is not safe as when it’s bad wheater , water blocks both the front and the rear entrance. It has serious health and safety issues. It should be shut down as premise !!

Que les pregunte si había transporte público a la isla , y me dijeron que no, y llegas a la isla y un montón de letreros que dicen que te llevan y traen de Cancún a la isla, eso no me gustó para nada , pues confías en lo que ustedes como hotel dicen , y no es verdad, eso me decepcionó bastante

Hôtel haut de gamme aux belles prestations. Une très belle chambre avec un service du personnel très prévenant. Un très bon emplacement au calme et à 15mins à pied du centre via la plage. Très belles prestations : plage, piscine

Aucune insonorisation et nous sommes tombés sur des voisins bruyants dans la nuit et très tôt le matin : c’est comme si nous étions dans la même chambre Un petit déjeuner inclus mais une demande insistante pour y ajouter un pourboire pour le service : quand le repas est inclus cela ne nous semble pas normal d’insister pour facturer un pourboire Très belle plage et aménagement mais aucun service de beach club : personne ne vient vous proposer boissons ou restauration ce qui est dommage

Holbox was great. I would probably go back later in November once the seaweed has cleared.

The gym was really great and the rooms were kept very clean and tidy. The location is right by the beach and does get the sun all day. The pool is clean and nice the sushi restaurant at the hotel is really good.

The rooms at the property aren’t amazing. We were in the honeymoon suite which was nice but as soon as people were moved into the room above us we could hear everything. There was no noise insulation. The bar at the hotel is not good, but there are nice bars 5 minute walk either way. I think for the money this hotel costs you don’t get all the nice features or amenities that you expect and the rooms let it down.

By far the best hotel i have ever stayed in

We liked staff was super friendly, room was exceptional with romantic vibes. Clean & chique as well. The breakfast was delicious, we had access to yoga session. Pool was warm & relaxing. Everything was just perfect

Our stay was lit ☀️

Everything was perfect. The room was great with enough space, the swimming pool area is amazing, the beach is directly accessible and the center is only 15 minutes walk from the hotel.

The room was a bit empty with no fourniture to store our stuff.

1) el depósito en garantía (que en otros alojamientos no te solicitan) 2) el baño de la habitación no tiene puerta 3) el horario de uso de la alberca es corto 4) los meseros no estaban pendientes del área de playa/alberca 5) la Mixología del restaurante dejó mucho que desear 6) todo se cobra por separado (kayaks, bicicletas no se pueden usar gratis) 7) en la habitación sólo hay agua del grifo (para beber) 8) el reglamento que te entregan al iniciar la estancia resulta poco amigable para el huésped (

Had the best time in Holbox!

The bed and pillows were so comfy! It had great day beds by the beach and a nice pool. Nice balcony with comfy hammock chair too.

Food and drinks were very expensive.

Good hotel with close access to the beach

Jungle themed rooms, breakfast was fantastic and the pool area great also. Good gym & the help on ongoing transport was great also.

Hotel was advertised at time of booking as adults only but when we were there, there were kids at the pool areas evidently staying with families. WiFi connection did not work properly until we checked out which was inconvenient.

It was a bad vacation in you’re hotel! We stayed 2 night , in 2 night we didn’t have a warm water to get a shower, Also they didn’t change the towels !! I used one bag of tea from the room and we paid 80 pas!!! Only the Decor was nice every thing else is bad! The food the breakfast , the service is bad !

Island-jungle paradise hotel

The beachfront was paradise and the hotel and rooms are build in a charming jungle-island fashion. Very charming hotel.

It's basically a big wooden cabin hotel with rooms on top of each other only separated by planks, hence easily subject to neighbour-, road-, animal-, etc. noises.

the location and the resort

how quiet they expect you to be on vacation. we had just for back from bar around midnight, we were only talking and laughing as we were getting ready for bed and security came knocking at our door. the next morning we were all told there was a noise complaint on us 50 year old. so if you're looking for only reading resort then this is the place

Not a 5 star, nor a luxury hotel

One nice lady at reception that tried to help. All other staff were helpless

No hot water. Shower in cold water in a pretend to be 5 star hotel...no warning in advance??? 500 $ per night with a freezing shower. I would expect to be compensated within 50% of my booking
