About this house rental

This beautiful, recently renovated home is part of a classic Santa Fe Compound of buildings dating back to New Mexico's Territorial Period before 1912. The compound at 453 Cerrillos includes The Loft at 453, VRBO #1261468 and The Cottage at 453, VRBO #1341068, both 1 br/1 bath. Our new properties are tight next door on W Manhattan: Casa Dominguez, VRBO #1708667 and Circa 1885, VRBO # 1744138, which share a private garden courtyard. Both are 1 bedroom. The property is remarkably quiet given its close proximity to the Santa Fe Railyard District, the Historic Santa Fe Plaza, Canyon Road and the State Capitol Grounds. Mae's Casita has a kitchen with full refrigerator, gas range, dishwasher, microwave and granite countertops. The old fashioned white enamel sink has a vintage style bridge faucet. The open living room/dining area enjoy easy access to the kitchen. There is an instant on gas fireplace. One of the two identically sized and configured bedrooms features an en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom's bath adjoins the bedroom but is not en-suite. Santa Fe's iconic coffee shop, Ohori's, is across Manhattan Street just steps away. Santa Fe's best bakery, Sage Bakery, is conveniently around the corner. Performance venues Lensic Theater and St. Francis Auditorium as well as Site Santa Fe, New Mexico Museum of Art, the Palace of the Governors and the New Mexico History Museum are all less than a 10 minute walk from the Casita. My sister-in-law and I had a girls’ week in Santa Fe and thoroughly enjoyed staying in Mae’s Casita. It’s very comfortable with thoughtful attention to detail. The location is excellent within walking distance to the plaza, wonderful restaurants, and shopping including the annual International Folk Art Market. We’ve already booked to return next year.

Great visit to Mae's Casita. The property was very clean... felt like home. I found the kitchen well appointed with everything I might need. The location allows for an easy walk to the railyard and plaza. During what proved a warm week the central air conditioning proved more than adequate. Hope to visit this location again soon.

This is the second property I have enjoyed and it was just as magical as the first. Linda and Lance think of all the details a traveler will want and even some you might not. As a single woman I feel safe in their units and appreciate the free on site parking. The Plaza is only a short walk away. Don’t hesitate to book Mae’s Cottage as a single or family. It’s the only place I’ll stay in Santa Fe.

We used Santa Fe as our base for all of our day trips. We loved how comfortable the cottage was, and great location. We felt very safe, and could walk wherever we needed to. We saw amazing places, and lots of interesting sites!

We had a great stay! The location of the casita was great and very convenient. Short walks to almost everywhere. The casita was updated, very clean, the bathrooms fully stocked (my daughter appreciated the type of shampoo and conditioner), and the kitchen was just the right size. Since we have to visit family in Santa Fe periodically, we certainly will book this place again!

We had a great stay at Mae’s! We were in town for a wedding at Bishops Lodge. The casita was perfectly located an easy 10 minute drive from the wedding venue and in close walking distance to all of downtown Santa Fe’s best restaurants, shops, museums and attractions. The casita was cosy, super clean and quiet. Our hosts were so welcoming, leaving us wine, cheese and crackers to make us feel welcome from the minute we arrived! Thanks for a great stay! We would definitely stay at Mae’s again. Highly recommended!

Great place to stay in every way. It is located within walking distance of many destinations in Santa Fe: the historic downtown plaza, the capitol, the railyard, and many restaurants, including a lovely café across the street. Super clean, the hosts are easily accessible, and they spare nothing! Very comfortable beds, black out shades for the bedrooms, easy parking a few steps from the casita door, Roku for the TV, excellent coffee and a coffee maker with a thermal carafe, and even high quality paper towels and toilet paper!
We had a great trip and loved our stay in this casita. I would recommend it to anyone. We can't wait to explore more of Santa Fe, hopefully from this casita again.

Everything about this stay was perfect - from check in to check out. The location of the property is great - a few short blocks to the plaza. The Hosts were wonderful and welcoming, and the place was clean and cute. It had everything I could have needed and I would definitely stay there again when I visit Santa Fe in the future.

A welcome bottle of wine with the glasses arranged properly, cheese and crackers and a welcome note was how we were introduced to Mae's Casita. The four of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely, and centrally located casita. We were able to walk almost everywhere we wanted to go. It was clean and comfortable. Our thanks for having such a really nice place to stay!

Mae's Casita is the perfect place to stay in Santa Fe. It is extremely comfortable and inviting and we loved the gas fireplace. It is in a very quiet location but is within walking distance to the plaza and many sites. Linda and Lance were great hosts and when I let them know we would be getting in late they made sure to turn the lights on and left a wonderful bottle of wine and cheese and crackers for us.
I highly recommend staying here.

We stayed at Mae’s Casita and it was a super cute place. Very clean, quiet, easy check in, parking off street directly in front of unit. We were welcomed with wine, cheese, and crackers and there were plenty of towels and toiletries available for our stay. One of the best vacation rentals we have ever been at and would 100% return. Thank you for making our stay so great!

We stayed here for a girls weekend and found the cottage charming and well maintained. The coffee and snacks were very welcome and the host was very accomodating. It's an easy walk to the square, but is tucked away off a main street.

This was our 4th stay at Mae's Casita and our longest and best visit yet. The location is ideal, walkable to so many of the wonderful things Santa Fe has to offer: restaurants, museums, galleries, shops and services. There is safe, secure off street parking and in fact during our ten days we only needed the car two or three times, for day trips and to get to a nearby laundromat.
The unit itself is charming, quiet, comfortable, clean, well maintained and well equipped, with many small touches and extras that frequent travelers will appreciate. Linda and Lance, our hosts, could not have been more helpful, responsive and congenial.
Highly recommended. We have already booked our next visit!

Lovely three day visit in Santa Fe made exceptionally nice because of our choice in accommodations. Mae's Casita had everything we needed and more. Fully outfitted kitchen for us to make our daily breakfasts with complimentary coffee, new updated bathrooms with walk-in showers and plenty of hot water, high end mattresses where we slept like rocks and easy, close, secure parking. Very short walk to restaurants and shops, 2 groceries within 3 min drive. Top notch!!

The property was beautiful, we were welcomed with a personalized letter and personalize snacks. Parking was amazing. We felt so safe the entire time. I loved that the place had everything we really needed. I didn’t bring shampoo or body wash the shower provided. We walked pretty much everywhere. So close to the plaza.! we got to spend time in other units also and they are all so so cute.

We were so happy to have stayed at Mae’s Casita! The layout with 2 bedrooms and baths was perfect. It was very spacious with lots of light, great decor and equipped with everything we needed. Parking was great, location was walkable to great restaurants and plaza!
Loved the adobe buildings and plantings ! No problem with Wi-Fi which was important for my adult son. After a long day of flying, it was so nice to be welcomed with a bottle of wine and cheese! What more could you want!
We would definitely stay there again!

Perfect location and perfect hosts. The property was clean, comfy, and super attractive. The locations is about a 5 minute walk to the Plaza and an even shorter walk to the Railyard and Rail Runner. Tons of good eateries is walking distance. Only a mile walk to Canyon Road. Could not be better located! The owners are responsive and friendly. They have other properties on the compound. I saw one studio and it was lovely. Stay here, you’ll love it! I know I will be back.
