I liked that there are parties on sundays. I liked the common space. I liked the wifi
I didn't like that the door didn't lock from the outside. There was no a/c

a very dirty place.

The staff treated me well, especially the girl who did the check-in process. The bathroom was absolutely clean, the beds were comfy enough and the room's air conditioner was very cold. One more thing, the beautiful female cat (Cleo, she's called, if I'm not mistaken) was so lovely.
It's not a big deal. The only suggestion I'd make to this hostel is to have the option of providing check-out service earlier, say for example, 9:00 AM, for those of us who really have to leave, as I had to do a lot of things and had to wait until 10:30 AM. Other than that, everything went out pretty smoothly.

Girl in the reception was sweet and helpful other than that nothing
I hated it. I don’t know if I am the only one that didn’t know the it was a dorm or proper hotel but whatever it is it should be in a proper state. At first the ac was not working. It was burning. Later on it did work but only on room. If you close the door of the bedroom the living room was burning. I went there with my friend so he had to sleep in a couch outside. We had to pull the sofa bed all the way to the entrance of the bedroom for him to sleep comfortably. The whole house looked like a haunted house. It was the most horrible experience. I guess i would have had better experience in Motel 6.

Villa Eshta was a great little hideaway in Condado, close to the two main streets but tucked away and quiet. The staff were super friendly, the facilities were nice and well maintained, and our stay was comfortable!
Our room was directly next to the courtyard, so we could hear conversations and things happening outside. It didn't prevent us from sleeping or bother us, but I could see how it could bother some if it were to be louder.

I had a private room with en suite bath and I loved it. it did the job for what I needed and was close to the beach. the air conditioning worked well and the property itself was cute and clean.
toilet occasionally got stopped up with no rhyme or reason, but that happens 🤷🏻♀️Also, not a fault of the property but everything in Puerto Rico is ridiculously expensive (like worse than New York level expensive)

I made a 11am reservation on booking.com and room was cleaned and luckily ready for me within 90 minutes. I stayed 2 nights. Beach stores and restaurants is close by. Very clean and tidy establishment. Price is amazing and unbeatable! 15 min taxi from airport. 6 mins car ride to Condado area. Good people all around in house and staff. I used a provided locker to keep my belongings safe and protected in my room.
First off the staff is amazing, very professional and accomodating! Only con is that the neighborhood has a dog barking and it's in a very social area so people tend to talk a little loud and play music but it's out of Villa Eshta's control what neighbors do. It's the only reason why I didn't give this place a 10. Still worth the stay because the price and location is unbeatable due to beach, restaurants and convenience stores nearby. Super clean room! Would def stay again in a heartbeat! My dorm mates were super quiet and respectful all day and night. It's all I can ask for. No complaints! Unforgettable value!

Great location. Very short walk to the beach. Lots of restaurants nearby. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I loved Cleo the hostel cat! The hookah was good too. Overall it was the typical hostel experience that we expected.
We were in private room 1 which was adjacent to the shared kitchen and the lobby which made it extremely noisy and hard to sleep. We didn't have hot water for showers either. The Sunday party was cool and the Jamaican food was delicious, however the music was really really loud and it lasted from from 1:00-9:45 pm. We were really tired that day and wanted to take a nap and relax but we couldn't because of the loud music.

location, noise, no hot water, no water pressure. the mattress on a wood slab is not comfortable. The slamming gates and the horrible odor.

the staff, the people the way of sitting there at night chatting. feels a bit like home !

Staff was friendly and generally responsive to my needs. Location is right off of the T5 bus route behind McDonald's. The beach is a short walk away when you turn right out of the hostel and many restaurants are on the street to the left of the hostel.
It was a Saturday night and I understand people wanting to celebrate and play music until midnight. What I was disappointed in was after that they watched a soccer game and screamed and shouted well after 1:30 am. Staff should not have allowed that to happen.

Easy check in. Location is great, short walk to the beach, across the street from Walgreens. Friendly atmosphere. Comfortable bed.
Shower plumbing a little old and worn, trash can for toilet paper didn’t have a lid.

The outdoor setup was cute and inviting. The staff were accommodating to our last minute, after-hours booking and late arrival. The location was convenient to the airport after a long day of travel. We woke up and made a quick walk to the beach which was a great way to start the day.
The building was "air conditioned" yet the windows were left open during our stay. This made the room a bit muggy, which wasn't a huge deal, and made all of the surrounding noises really prominent. We were kept up most of the night (through our earplugs) by loud dogs on either side of our room and a truck that had its reverse beeper on for over half an hour. Neither of these are the fault of the complex, but they made sleep difficult. My mom and sister said their pillows didn't smell clean but my bed seemed fine so idk about that.

I liked how close they were to the beach.
Across the street from Walgreens.
It seemed super plain. Not a lot of attention to detail (ie the bathrooms seemed quickly put together), and the general feel was that the owners kind of just testing out the idea of owning a hostel. Idk
Getting to my room was a little confusing.
One of the other patrons yelled at me at 3:30 am for snoring. That was weird.

Great area, met awesome people
couldn’t smoke and drink peacefully on patio

Wifi is good. Place is lovely, especially the patio. Good communication with the host.
The area is super nice! Safe, with bars and restaurants at walking distance, , close to the beach.
The "private room" doesn't feel very private. It's inside the dorm.
I had to try 3 different showers. One had water too cold to have a shower. The other one was boiling, impossible to even touch. The third one was still cold, but I needed a shower, so I took it. Overall, not satisfying for the price.

very friendly convenient location
all good .

the area it’s located is good and they are very quiet. Staff is very friendly and willing to help.
Parking is not the best in the area, so I would rent a car only for the days I’d really need it.

Best Hostel in San Juan without a doubt. I kept extending my stay and ended up being here for 2 weeks. Will come back as soon as I can!

The room was really small. No hot water. My AC did not work at all.
