The house was spacious and impeccably clean, with more than enough space for the four of us. Nice to have the downstairs with its own bathroom and a tv for those wanting to stay up late. And it is situated between Frankfurt and Glen Arbor for trips into town. I would definitely stay here again.

Our family really enjoyed our time at this cottage. It was very clean and well stocked with dishes, pans, linens, and towels. Deb, the owner, was available to answer any questions we had, and offered suggestions for some outings.
The yard leading to the water was large enough for us to use the corn hole game & crochet set that we brought. We enjoyed some pretty competitive games! We had our choice of a few wonderful beaches and and even got Mom (age 70) to enjoy a leisurely tubing trip down the peaceful river. Frankfort was a short drive away, a fun place for shopping. You also have an opportunity to walk to a lighthouse on the beautiful beach there.
There was enough parking in the back of the house for three cars. Could have had another car as well. One child and one adult kayak is also provided.
The cottage was so wonderful, we are thinking of retuning again!. The beautiful sunsets and sunrises were an added bonus!
Thanks, Deb for sharing your home with our family!

Deb was wonderful to work with. She responded to all our questions and concerns quickly and thoroughly. Very clean property on a quiet street. The cottage was stocked with nearly all that we needed-towels, paper products, kitchen tools. Booking this cottage was clearly a no brainer and we strongly consider returning soon. Visited Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore multiple times, as well as different hiking trails in the area. Peterson Beach, off the beaten track but worth the trek, is a pristine, uncrowded beach. Beautiful area!

Our family really enjoyed our stay at this property. The owner Deb is so sweet and very attentive. She checked in with us and also brought us additional firewood when we ran close to running out toward the end of the week. The sunrises from the dock are beautiful. Used the kayaks and boat multiple times. The property is very clean and well cared for. It is located close to many small towns, Sleeping Bear Dunes and multiple lakes. We would definitely stay in this property again.

Clean, spacious accommodations for our family. New appliances. Lovely setting to spend time, fish, kayak, close to Sleeping Bear and Frankfort. Owner very attentive.
4.9
Deb gave an extremely thorough orientation of the property top to bottom, inside and out. It took about an hour. She called, texted or came over several times to make sure things were going smoothly.
The floor plan was perfect for three families.
The hammock, loons and bonfires were a lot of fun. Good area close to the beach, Skeeping Bear Dunes, Traverse City, etc.

Only issue us the bunkers are really 2 twins stacked because for an adult there is not enough space between the bunks. Meant mostly for little kids.
4.9
The house was very clean, well-maintained, and had plenty of room for the 5 of us. I enjoyed having my morning coffee while enjoying the lake views.
The owner is attentive and was on-site to greet us at check-in and took me through everything I needed to know! She also checked in often to make sure we were enjoying our stay.

Relaxing lake cottage
Cottage was great. We stayed very local and ventured out to the beaches and a few vineyards. The house had a couple of kayaks and boats that we got to use. So no need to rent (a plus). Deb the owner was very responsive as well. Great location because you are off the main road. Super quiet. The sunsets were amazing. We'd love to come back next year.

Beautiful quiet location
We loved that the house was on quiet Little Platte Lake, with a natural area on the opposite shore. Watched loons and swans. It was almost adjacent to the National Lakeshore with a very short drive to hiking and Michigan beaches. The house was perfect for our needs and easily accommodated two families. Deb, the host, even loaned me a hair dryer!

Cleanliness
Cleanest cottage we have ever stayed in!

This home was very well stocked with everything we needed. It was quiet and peaceful. We had a couple of unexpected rules. One was requiring us to separate all of our trash and garbage into 3 different receptacles in the kitchen and be responsible for burning all of the burnables.

Wonderful location and trip
We loved the cottage itself and the location on Little Platte Lake. The house is roomy with plenty of space for people to spread out. The lake is in the backyard with easy access for kayaks and paddleboards. Deb (the owner) was super. She gave us a welcome tour and was friendly and helpful. Our stay was so great that we didn't want to go home.

Thanks Deb!
We had a lovely stay in September. The weather was unusually cool, but we had fun regardless. We had bonfires, kayaked, used the paddle boat and row boat, and we even caught 3 fish from the dock! The house is ideal for up to 8 people, we had 2 family’s and 2 young kids. Thank you Deb for being easy to communicate with and for providing everything we needed during the week! We look forward to renting again next season.

Down to earth and heavenly at the same time
This was a fantastic rental. Stayed here with young kids, adults, and a couple seniors. The setting is lovely, the lakefront is ideal for kayaking/ paddleboarding/ swimming. Lake is shallow with lots of life vests, so ideal for kids. Nice campfire pit by the water and the hosts provided plenty of wood. The cottage is very cozy and comfortable. Deb is a lovey person, very attentive and detailed about explaining the ins and outs for getting the most out of the cottage.
I would love to stay here again. Ideal driving distance from Empire, Sleeping Bear, Crystal Lake. Platte river paddling just around the corner. The week blew by fast...

We stayed here once before and had an amazing experience both times! The property is beautiful and the sunrise is amazing from the back deck or patio! Deb was really attentive to any of our needs and was great to work with! I highly recommend staying here!

Beautiful stay on the lake!
My wife, our two children, and myself had a fantastic time staying at this cabin. We have some friends who live down the street and it was a perfect location for us to stay while we visited. Deb was amazing! She was very attentive to our needs and more than accommodating. The cabin was immaculate and we could not ask for more. We will be back! Also the cabin is definitely way larger than it looks online! Our two year old loved all the open space and had a blast in the cabin, on the swings and running around the yard. The sunsets and sunrises were breath taking from the back deck and lower patio. We highly recommend staying here and can't wait to come back! Deb, thank you for making our trip so special, it was an absolute pleasure to work with you and we really appreciate all the time and effort you have put into making the cabin a great place to stay for all ages!

Wonderful Stay on Little Platte Lake
If you are looking for a cottage on Little Platte Lake this is it! The location is perfect! The size was just right for our family. We had 7 Adults and 3 children and we fit perfectly. Deb provides just about everything, all we needed were blankets and a few staples. She is always available and if we needed anything we knew she was just a call or text away.
The cottage is close to the Trading Post and 2 miles away from Riverside for canoeing/kayaking and easy access to the sand dunes and a quick 30 minute drive to Frankfort and Point Betsie.
If fishing is your thing, Little Platte Lake is the place, just find the deeper water with weed beds. We caught Largemouth (up to 18 in) and Rock Bass up to 12 in), Perch (big and very small), Bluegills and Sunfish.
You won't be disappointed with this cottage and we will be back for another stay.

Fun week with family!
Really enjoyed our stay here. Deb is very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. If you need something or need information about the area just needed to ask her.The cottage was very clean and well stocked with bathroom and kitchen supplies. Plenty of space and beds for our group of 7. We brought our own kayaks (there are 2 small sit on top ones at the cottage) but we also used the paddle boat and row boat at the cottage many times. The Tuckers had plenty of life vests( all sizes) to use which our grandkids did use. There was plenty of firewood. The location is great for exploring the Sleeping Bear Dunes area. Sitting on the deck or out by the lake listening to the loons was a great way to start and end the day. Would stay here again!
