About this cottage rental
Come visit our cute cottage literally overhanging the lake!
Our recent remodeling gives the cottage a clean, bright and sunny feel while keeping the character of this 1933 summer home. In the living room the big glass doors and windows look out at the beautiful fall colors on the lake. The decks are ideal for an outside meal, barbecuing, yoga, reading, family time, or just enjoying the serenity of nature and the lake. The cottage overhangs the edge of the lake with an expansive 20'x24' water level deck that you can swim or kayak from, and a large second story deck which makes you feel like royalty as you view nature and the lake from above. Both decks are ideal for an outside meal, barbecuing, yoga, reading, family time, or just enjoying the serenity of nature and the lake.
The cozy cottage sleeps up to six people (4 adults, 2 kids allowed by the town), making it perfect for a vacationing couple (or two) or a family. It has a medium size bedroom with a queen size bed, and a small bedroom with a full size bed. There is also a queen bed downstairs in the family room. There is a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and a living room with large french doors that open onto the upper deck with magnificent views of the lake. On the lower level is the living/recreation room (including laundry machines) which opens onto the water level deck. There are always areas on the deck to be in the shade if needed. There are two small parking spaces that will fit a maximum of two cars.
Kayaks and a canoe are provided for your use at no additional charge. There is also a Huck Finn style raft to sit on or swim from during the summer, or to untie and float around on. We have internet, a smart TV with Netflix provided, and indoor games. If you choose, we have a hot tub on the lower deck with beautiful lake views. The maintenance fee is an additional $40 for 1-3 nights, $75 for 4+ nights. Also, a paddle board rental may be available, if requested.
The cottage is removed from noise and bustle, and the quiet and beautiful lake makes it a really fun place to enjoy being part of nature. It is still just a 10 minute drive from Mystic-- a favorite tourist town, 5 area wineries, the Connecticut Shoreline, and 5 minutes from Foxwoods casino.

The house is spot on from pics and descriptions. Really quaint little cottage! Neighborhood is so quiet and tons of bird species to watch. Communicated with Bobby on a couple questions and he responded immediately.

An amazing location that is private and serene, yet close enough to Mystic, Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun if you want to leave the cottage. We had our senior dog with us. He loved it there. We spent nights in the hot tub, by the firepit or watching movies on their big screen TV.
We dined at some outstanding restaurants nearby. Went for a hike at Bluffpoint with our dog. Kayaked, fished and swam to our hearts content!
Oh, and Ziplined at Foxwoods! It was truly a wonderful vacation. Just wish it was more than 6 nights.... Maybe next year....

Such a great experience. Everything smelled fresh and clean when we walked in. Communication with owner was great. Lovely location. Will stay again.

Beautiful location, stunning views, quiet and lots of fun swimming and kayaking for a family. Kitchen and bathroom were clean. However, while the property listing is clear that dogs are welcome, the presence of dog hair and dog smells were much more than we expected and could not be ignored. Given that there is a cleaning fee, we did not expect this to be the case.

Trip to Paris for my girlfriend's birthday fell through, but our stay at the lake house was far better. Gorgeous location, stunning views, comfortable home, with all the amenities including kayaks and a canoe... host left flowers and a note wishing us a pleasant stay and a happy birthday. This lake house was so nice we will be going back often.

We stayed for just one night for my fiancés birthday to get a night of relaxation and quiet. It’s 8 minutes from Foxwoods casino so we ended up going there for a birthday dinner and came home late to it raining so we couldn’t utilize the hot tub unfortunately. They had everything we needed there to cook and have coffee in the morning, lots of outdoor amenities such as swings, hot tub, grill, fireplace, kayaks . It’s a cute little cottage , would definitely stay again with the kids next time and in summer because it was super cold. Only recommendation would be it could be a little cleaner like a deep clean other than that it was great!

House is exactly as advertised. Clean and comfortable. Two nice big decks. Beautiful views. Great kayaking. AC in the bedrooms. Would definitely stay there again.

This is one of the best stays we've had on VRBO! Right from the beginning, the host was extremely kind and welcoming. He met us at the property and showed us around, offering advice on activities we could enjoy. We stayed with my two children (ages 6 and 8) and our two dogs. Everyone had an amazing vacation, and our only regret was that we didn't book our stay for longer!
There are two kayaks and a canoe available for use. The house has all the amenities, including a floating dock, fishing pole and tackle, and a hot tub. The house was clean and well maintained. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation and will be booking again for next year! We highly recommend this host and his properties!!

The cottage was clean and welcoming with all the kitchen accessories we needed. Bobby, Mason, and Vicky were a pleasure to work with. We were right on the water and we could swim and kayak right off the dock. We mostly grilled meals on the deck, but took the short drive to Mystic one afternoon for lobster rolls and ice cream. Highly recommend this property.

Bobby and Mason (Hosts) welcomed us at the door and Bobby escorted us around the property when we first arrived. This cottage is a God-send! All the amenities of home plus (which we did not use as we spent most of the four day visit on the back and upper decks enjoying the scenery, the flora and the fauna around the pond. We fed different species of fish, turtle, and waterfowl. We saw bald eagles, great blue heron, a ":very large" snapping turtle and more. THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO FOR A QUIET GETAWAY FROM SOCIETY WHILE BEING CLOSE BY TO ANYTHING THAT YOU MAY NEED. I highly recommend this property if you need to escape from society for a while. We will be back! God bless Bobby, Mason, and family! Signed, Nightshade & Gold (Tribute to Stevie Nicks/Music of Fleetwood Mac)

We went to Foxwoods for a concert and the rooms there were ridiculously priced. I ended finding this little gem on VRBO. Would highly recommend, especially for families. Kids had a blast

We stayed at the cottage over the holiday to visit family in the area with our two dogs. It was a perfect quiet spot, where we could relax in between all the hustle and bustle. Host was friendly and kind, and we had everything we needed. Will definitely keep this place in mind when we travel in the area for the holiday again. Thank you, Bobby!

My wife and I brought our dog on a nice little 2 day trip for our 4 year wedding anniversary. It was our first vacation with our beautiful doggy! Waking up next to the lake was so beautiful! And our boy couldnt get enough of the lake! He was sunbathing right on the deck!

What a wonderful place. If you're looking for a peaceful, quiet vacation this is the place for you. The lake is beautiful no motor boats allowed perfect for kayaking and swimming. Sitting in the hot tub while overlooking the lake is paradise. I would recommend this place to all my friends and family.

I recently spent a few days out on the lake with my family and our experience was truly exceptional. The house has everything you need and more. The hot tub and gas fireplace added a special layer to an already great time. The lake is exceptionally serene and quiet, but there is still tons of room for fun and adventure. Kayaking and canoeing was great, swimming and fishing was also enjoyed by all. Overall, time spent with loved ones, game night, and movie night in this quaint cottage was well worth a return visit!

This was a wonderful, family friendly cottage! We loved everything about it, especially the 2 decks with gorgeous views, propane fire pit, kayaks & paddleboard, and hot tub. There were so many nice, personal touches throughout and you can tell the owners definitely care. We have rented through VRBO several times in the past and this property’s owner/manager were by far the most responsive. The cottage had plenty of space for our family of 4 and our dog. It was a perfect little get away with lots of kayaking & swimming during the day and making s’mores at the fire pit at night. Highly recommend if you are looking to relax by the lake!

Beautiful lakehouse! For us this was just a couples getaway but there is room to sleep more. The view above and below is right out onto the lake, step out of the upper floor to sit on the deck, or step out of the lower floor to sit below and enjoy the view and/or the hot tub. Nice quiet setting. Take the boats out or float around on the detacheable dock, both of which we did. Inside everything is great - but just bring the food you need there isn't much there.

Quiet, beautiful location, we enjoyed it a lot, although the weather wasn’t perfect, could use some upgrading inside, for example, the coffee machine. And window shutters.. who

Exceptionally clean home literally on the lake w 2 decks to enjoy beautiful views and access to the lake. There is a hot tub right on the lake and Kayak available. We rented here because it is 8 mins to Foxwoods where we were attending a show, but ended up making most of our trips to downtown Mystic, 15 mins away. Great host, responsive and easy to communicate with.

We enjoyed our stay very much! Pleasantly decorated and comfortable home. The views are fantastic and there were two large decks to enjoy it from. We slept on the lower level which was cozy. Nice shower and kitchen. Lots to do in the area. We spent evenings in Foxwoods which is 10 minutes away. Mystic had great shopping and plenty of restaurants and an incredible French bakery called Sift. We plan on coming back in the summer to enjoy the lake and nearby RI beaches.

We were looking to try somewhere new to us, so glad we picked this place! The neighborhood is very quiet, and It was gorgeous on the lake- the views are stunning. The hot tub on the deck was so nice to be in during the winter! We liked that Foxwoods was about 10 minutes away and that Mystic was a short ride from the house.. the house is very comfortable and relaxing, lots of blankets and pillows. We loved it and plan to go back for a spring or summer visit! Thank you for being such a great host Bobby!

The house is exactly what it looks like in the photos. The location is amazing away, from the city, but less than a 10min drive to foxwoods. I bet its even better in the summer with it being right on the lake. Definitely will go back!

My brother and I each rented cabins on Long Pond from Bobby, Molly, & Paola. We hosted our wives, kids, parents plus a few friends that popped in for afternoon visits. It was an incredible few days and we got lots of enjoyment from the cabins and the lake. We spent lots of time in Mystic and also Foxwoods also. The house managers are very good and accommodating, and the houses have plenty of stuff to make you feel at home. We will definitely be back!

A peaceful cottage overlooking Long Pond with kayaks and a canoe. The pond was clear and warm, perfect for swimming off the 2 floats.
Cottage is air conditioned and has a fully equipped kitchen.
Near to Mystic, Stongington and Groton. Plenty of restaurants within 25 minute drive.
A great find!
