We enjoyed our stay. Access to the lake was great. The hot tub is a nice touch. Location was perfect for exploring the area and Mystic. The outdoor porch/seating area is wonderful.

A traditional family lake cottage. Peaceful, quiet, and rented with love. Everything from the thoughtful little notes in the home to the paintings on the wall makes you feel cozy and welcomed. Everything you could need or want is provided. The hot tub under the stars, on the water is really the icing on the cake.

Just wanted to get away for a couple of days. Very quaint cottage right on the water. Place was Very well-maintained while keeping the rustic charm. Owner was very helpful with giving activities and stuff to do. Would love to stay in warmer weather to enjoy the water.

Comfortable and cozy cabin directly on the water. Nice hot tub on the dock, comfortable beds and cozy living area with plenty of fire wood for the stove. Neighboring properties are a bit disheveled, but otherwise a nice location.

My family and I had such a wonderful time staying at the cottage and waking up every morning to the lake views right out your door. Our host Bobby was very friendly and helpful and made sure we had what we needed. The area is absolutely beautiful and short drives to most everywhere. Mystic is a wonderful town with lots of shops, museums and places to eat. My family and I will definitely return!

I’ve been looking at this listing for years. My husband and I finally made it up there and it was just wonderful. The pictures are accurate. The place was spotless. The beds were so comfortable. And the lake was gorgeous. It had everything we could possibly need and then some. I got a kick out of seeing everything labeled, but it was actually really helpful. The cottage is rustic, but well kept. If you’re looking for fancy and luxurious, this place is not for you. But it’s very comfortable in so many respects. And definitely pay the extra for the hot tub. Lying in it and staring at the stars was my favorite part of the day. Soooo relaxing. The cottage is about 15 minutes to Mystic. At first it seemed like a long ride, but as we kept doing it it became easier. Such a pretty ride. I laughed when I realized we ate all our meals on the water. Delicious food. If you like fried scallops you need to go to the Breakwater in Stonington, which is just a short hop from Mystic. The scallops—-O.M.G. I’ve been around a long time and have had many a scallop, but these were incredible. I’ll dream about them. If you’re looking for a really good breakfast place go to Somewhere In Time which is about a 5 minute drive. My husband went there every morning. Delicious and reasonable. Overall, this was just a terrific getaway. I just wish we could have stayed longer. PS. We fished off the dock everyday with no luck I’d love a small rowboat so we could go out deeper. We’ll be back!

We had such a wonderful time and have already made plans for 2024. The dock is right on the water. Kayaks and canoe at our disposal. An evening hot tub, even in the rain was fabulous. We loved our time there.

The house was clean and really cute ! The pond was great for kayaking (too much vegetation to swim in ).the host responded to me with any questions I had and was very friendly. It was a very relaxing place my family and I look forward to going again.

Just an absolute gem of a lake house. It’s private and peaceful. After a day of swimming, floating and paddling, the hot tub was the best way to end the days while watching the sunset. We went to the Sailfest fireworks in New London. Shopped in Mystic and of course spent a day at the casino. The house is tucked away but within 5 miles of everything. Everyone had a great time!

The best thing I can say about this rental is that you feel completely at home and comfortable. Most rentals don't give that sense of ease, but it's abundantly clear that the owners have loved and nurtured this place and go out of there way to make visitors feel that way. Absolutely perfect.

My family and dogs had a wonderful time staying at the cottage! We spent the days exploring Mystic and then would come back for the evening, cook dinner, relax in the hot tub and look at the stars, and then cozy up next to the fireplace and play board games. We loved just sitting and admiring the peaceful lake view and watch the ducks and geese swim and fly by. It’s a great spot, feels very rural but within 15 minutes of all the nearby sites and attractions. We made so many great memories and can’t wait to come back and explore the area in different seasons!

Can’t wait to stay again! Beautiful little cabin on the lake. We got snow this weekend and it was just so calm with the stove going! It was a perfect getaway!!!!!

The cottage is older but well-maintained with beautiful period details like glass doorknobs and a massive fieldstone fireplace (well, wood stove now). The couch was massive and perfect for lounging. We were there in the winter, but for summer visitors: the screened porch is wrap around, plenty of water toys, and there is more land to play on than your standard lake house. The property managers were very helpful. Overall the cottage isn’t luxurious, but quaint and reminiscent of an old-fashioned lake house with much better amenities :)
Also, proximity to Mystic and Foxwoods (15 & 10 minutes respectively) gave us plenty to do and restaurants to eat.

It's a gem. Right on the water with great amenities and all the gear to be out on the lake. Bobby is a kind and delightful host. We will return.

We had a lovely time paddling around on their 4 kayaks and fishing off the dock. The view of the pond is beautiful. There was plenty of wood for the fire pits. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The hosts had good communication and were very friendly and helpful. We would love to go back again.

We loved the location of this property. Being able to be out on the water was key and this provided that. It was also close to Mystic and Groton where we did the Bluff Point hike.
In terms of cleanliness, this property has some work to do in that department.

We had a fabulous time here and can’t wait to go again. The lake views are beautiful, the cottage was perfect and it is close to many area attractions. The property managers were very friendly and we had a blissful, much anticipated and much needed vacation away together as a family.

Weekend Fishing Trip
Great relaxing location. Nice property.

Two lakes and a surprise tunnel between them!
Cool and relaxing lakes apx. 1 mile & 1/2 mile respectively, with an under-road short tunnel between them to test the kayaks and canoe.
Of course, a visit to Mystic is a must and only 15 minutes away, with food, aquarium, seaport all within easy distance. The Pequot museum is a hidden gem (but not because it is small. It is quite big! And immersive too).
The house was clean, well maintained, but do turn on the microwave fan and maybe open the kitchen windows if using the oven or else the smoke alarms will blast you (maybe the oven needed cleaning?).
Otherwise, a perfect retreat.
