About this house rental
An urban cottage. It's not ultra-modern, it's grandma's place updated. Clean and correct. Hulu and Amazon Prime on the digital TVs in the bedrooms. USB charging stations in both bedrooms. Fireplace in the living room, but no TV there, it's a living room :-)
Well-equipped efficiency kitchen (small) coffee maker, new pans, gas range, dishes, silverware (not sterling) newer washer and dryer in the basement. the bedroom upstairs has dual remote controls for the lights.
The space
2 car off-street parking, but who needs a car here? I guess if local friends want to visit.
Guest access
Just a 2.9-mile walk from the US Bank stadium and SuperBowl if you take the scenic route past the Walker Art Center and the sculpture garden. 0.9-mile walk to Utepils Brewing Company, Walk to Sparks Restaurant in 0.2 miles. When you are ready for a faster-paced scene it's only a 2.9-mile ride to the "WestEnd" area or 2.7 miles to the Smack Shack and all the great watering holes in the North Loop district.
Interaction with guests
We work downtown and live close by. Have an urgent need, we can be there in 15 minutes. Needs more TP or Peat's Coffee and we can drop it by the next AM.

Good property overall that could use a bit of updating, but overall a solid value for the price as the location is perfect (across large park to walkn̈playand splash pool and just off the freeway near downtown)

Very quiet and dog friendly neighborhood! Very impressed with the location, trails around the ballpark to walk my dog were very convenient. This cottage is a cute little place to stay and was exactly as expected based on the listing and reviews. I would definitely stay here again if returning to the area!

Even in the pouring rain this property was so perfect and exactly what our family needed for the holiday weekend. We landed earlier than expected and were able yo check in right away. Host had everything setup and the house was all the charm of an old cottage that we were looking for. In set shelving and old fireplace and all the hard wood floors! Plus the upstairs loft was perfect for the kids to have their own little suite. We absolutely fell in love with the old house and we’re so thrilled to stay in this wonderful little time capsule. The Bryn Mawr neighborhood tho is the real treat. This little house is nestled in a magical little place just 10 mins from all the downtown activities but in a world all its own. The cottage is just a ten minute walk to the Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden and Bird Sanctuary that we didn’t unfortunately didn’t get to experience due to weather but is on our list for our next trip. If you are considering going to Minneapolis we would 10/10 recommend this place if you are looking for an easy, affordable, one of a kind stay

We took our son and his friend to a concert at the Target center along with some sightseeing. We saw Paisley Park and the Mall of America. It was a great getaway and a perfect location.

Nice cottage with a quaint personality. Not fancy, but updated with internet. Very conveniently located to anything in the downtown area. Could use a TV in the living room so a group can watch a movie together.

Pretty easy. Prior reviews have pointed out that an info sheet would be helpful and I echo that but nothing that we couldn't eventually figure out and deal with/purchase. But I would rent it again. Convenient location and sweet neighborhood and charmingly eccentric cottage.

Girl Get-Away Review
Location was GREAT - on-line pictures were accurate. Nice park to walk in - nice neighborhood. Recommend a cheat-sheet to run t.v. or restaurant/grocery store locations. Would also recommend the toilet paper be on the roll, garbage bags in trash cans, batteries in smoke alarm, windows properly locked or cleaned up a bit - Communication with owner was GREAT - responded quickly - thank you

Great place for a weekend getaway
The hosts were very easy to communicate with leading up to our trip to Minneapolis, and we had no issues getting into the house or taking advantage of any of its features. Loved the functioning fireplace and quaint feel of the home. A dog-friendly home was much appreciated to bring the whole family along!

A Little Disappointed
Pros: The cottage was as described. It was cozy and clean.
The owner responded with instructions and restaurant/grocery information the day before we arrived.
Cons: I was surprised that I did not get a response to questions the day we checked in, nor did we hear anything at all from the owner while we were there. When I’ve stayed at other properties, I’ve always been asked if check-in went alright, whether we needed anything, etc. I couldn’t find a contact phone number, though the message with instructions did say I could call or text if I needed anything. I had messaged the owner that, though we’d planned on bringing the dog, we’d decided not to and asked whether we might get a refund of the pet fee. This is not a huge deal, as we had agreed to the fee when we booked, but a response would have been appreciated.
A large amount of snow fell the evening we arrived. We were happy to arrive safely and that there was a driveway for parking. Unfortunately, the driveway and walk were not cleared before or at any time during our stay (we were unable to take the trash out, as the garbage cans were in the driveway, already full and covered with snow). We shoveled the walk ourselves a couple of times and fortunately had a 4WD vehicle; without that, I’m quite sure we would have gotten stuck in the snow. A shovel was at the front door, so maybe I misunderstood and we were expected to take care of snow removal?
So, to sum up, the cottage was as described and clean, but better communication would have been welcome.

Quite and not far from US Bank Stadium
My mom and I came to Minneapolis to see The Rolling Stones and visit Paisley Park. We needed a dog friendly property and this home was perfect for us. Quite, clean neighborhood but close to everything we needed. Had one small problem but Juliette answered us immediately and the problem was solved. Great communication throughout.

We came in town for a soccer tournament up north in Blaine. While this was a bit out of the way, the beds were comfortable and the Internet worked.I would have loved a fewer cobwebs in the cottage but I get it, it’s old. A plug for the bathtub would have helped my aching soccer player but we improvised . Perhaps a place to sit outside for a spell would be lovely as Bryn Mawr is a cute neighborhood and there is some great architecture to see?

A sweet old cottage that worked well for our family and our dog. The cottage definitely can use some TLC, but we had a great time and the location for us by the park was perfect

Great stay, cute house
Beats a hotel! Lots of room, nice house, excellent location, quiet neighborhood, reasonable pricing, and there's a park basically right outside the front door. Great way to stay in Minneapolis.

Very pleasant during family wedding
My parents, husband, daughter and I stayed here 2 nights while attending a family wedding in town. The location was ideal for our needs. The host was very helpful when we had questions about parking an additional car. The house was close to the main freeway but was in a quiet neighborhood. It was simple and cozy.

This property is location location location with loads of historic charm.
We walked for hours everyday and each day was different. From downtown and the Mississippi river to various lake and neighborhood walks. Super easy access on and off the freeway. The home has the warm charm of an older home. We will be back.

Great experience
My wife, two dogs and I needed a place to stay for the weekend and this place did not disappoint. Everything was clean and tidy when we arrived, the renters were quick and responsive to any questions we had, and our dogs loved walking the neighborhood.
The view of Minneapolis from the front door, especially in the evening, was amazing. We would definitely stay here if we needed a home-away-from-home again in the future.

Good location and neighborhood!
The location was great for all of our family events, especially Monday night football at US Bank Stadium. The home was very comfortable and welcoming. The coffee shop a few blocks away was great! Only problem we had was every time a hairdryer was used it tripped the circuit breaker. Otherwise good property for a family of 4.

Nice family vacation rental home
We decided to stay at the home rather than a hotel to give our 4 kids more space and accommodate for kids who nap. There was enough beds for everyone to sleep comfortably with clean sheets and plenty of towels. Nice part of town with a decent playground within walking distance. Owners communication was done promptly as well. Thanks for the stay.

Bryn Mawr cottage--great location, comfortable & convenient!
This is a great little cottage for a short stay. Like Juliette's description: "Grandma's house upgraded," it fits. Nice TV's and Roku system in both bedrooms, AC/Heating system was top notch, some bath upgrades. But also creaky floors, narrow stairs, and no ice machine. Could use a few more kitchen pots, etc. if you want to cook--but I expect most do eat out. Due to diet restrictions, we had planned to eat in and made do fine. But what we loved was the convenience to downtown and Uptown where most of the areas we wanted to visit. Nothing was more than 5-10 minutes and the neighborhood was quiet and appeared safe. Nice to have view of the park and direct access across the street (but then so much of MSP seems to be parks around lakes! Jealous!). Great stay! Thanks!

Excellent value and location!
Nice humble cottage, located is safe and convenient neighborhood. House is an old cottage, and previous reviews were accurate. It's an excellent value, it you plan to utilize the Park across the street, neighborhood coffee shop and pizza place, and visit downtown locations. Almost 20 minutes from all major attractions. 20 minutes to Mall of America, 10 minutes to downtown attractions.
Once we contacted owners (day before trip), Juliette was extremely nice and helpful. Provided check in information and local biking opportunities. By chance, met owners when we checked in and we're extremely friendly and helpful.
Would stay here again!
