The staff were very helpful!

I received an email @ 3:34 pm yesterday which was our check in date from the Foshay Tower that our room was unavailable with no reason as to why. We were already in route to the hotel about half hour away.
They moved us to a different hotel and while it was a suite, it was not equal to what we had booked many weeks in advance. It was a poor handling of customer service with very little info nor accommodating anything besides moving us and did not offer anything to make up for the inconvenience.
The hotel they moved us to had a pleasant staff while checking in, but it was not the trip we had planned for and was disappointing for sure as we were going to a show and wanted to have the cocktail lounge downstairs in the Foshay Lobby to enjoy after the show and the seanky vibe of the hotel was why we booked it.
The one we had to stay in was more of a business class hotel from what we could gather and from tge decor rather than a cool vibe for nightlife that we had planned for.

Beautiful, historic building downtown. Friendly, helpful staff.

I stayed here last year and stayed again this year. The staff is incredible, especially the manager Anthony who was very helpful. The food at Manny’s is a must go to. I ate 3 meals there in my 2 day stay.

Stayed for a birthday trip and it was amazing. On the weekends the lounge area on the main floor turns into a type of club. Along with the prohibition bar upstairs, drinks are expensive but well worth it. Manny’s for brunch was the high light. Our waiter was excellent, his opinions were on point and to our likely. Only down side was the champagne I had delivered to the room. It was not worth the price I paid for. I know the worth of the bottle, considering I used to work for a liquor store. 8-10. Only cause of the champagne.

There was no power in my room. No TV, no electricity or phone service. This was after I’d unpacked. They moved me to a new room, which nice. Big inconvenience.

Great location for an upscale

The rooms are getting a bit beat up. Beds are not the firmest. No extra blanket. The doors slam so when anyone on your wing lets their door close the whole room shakes.
Elevators are very fast and convenient.
Gym has enough to keep you active.
Great dining around the area.

I loved the location and city view and the cool lobby
i didn't like that the bathrooms don't have a lock or a vent
and i didn't like that all the bars closed early

Great property quiet safe great food and drinks

The elevators were very slow and often long waits. The room I stayed in needed updating and better cleaning (stains, sticky floor, chipping paint). Staff was fine but seemed like they wanted to be anywhere else. Speakeasy drinks were awful and terribly overpriced. I loved it the first time I stayed several years ago, but after this time, I will likely check other options for future trips.

My only req complaint is parking. $56 for valet or you have to find a nearby parking garage (which was $38) so I might as well have used valet. And the hood they put on your card. I’d already paid for my stay, the gentleman that checked us in said they put a $100 hold on my card for incidentals, which I understand, but the charge came out to over $200. When asked the next morning, the woman at the desk didn’t really have a reason, just things she thought it’d be like tax? Either way, still waiting for the hold to come off my card. The hotel itself is nice and the observation deck is awesome.

We enjoyed the rooftop acess and watching fireworks that night. The location is convenient if you like night life. We asked for a high floor and they were very accommodating. For parking, its cheaper to park across the street. The hotel valet is a bit expensive. Otherwise, we are already planning on going back. When we came in on Saturday, there' was a dance floor and people were having so much fun.

Staff were outstanding, I was ahead of schedule on my travel so I called ahead to inquire about early check in and they were able to accommodate and had my room ready for me early, very appreciated after a lengthy trip.

Stayed here on 2 occasions during June. Staff friendly and check in v easy and quick. Room was spacious and clean. Shower was amazing and room came with usual amenities. The only reason I didnt give it 5 star is not happy about being charged for wi-fi given the cost of the room. Stayed in cheaper places where wi-fi was free!

Had a fun girls trip and decided to splurge on a nice room. Hotel was very nice and the lookout on the roof was awesome. The restaurant Manny’s is a must try and a great experience.

I didn’t notice until I left that I was charged additional charges from the hotel bar. I am out an additional $50 that was not mine. Do not pay with your room number. The drink prices start at close to $20/drink. Also, the front desk staff have better things to do than treat “normal folk” with the same treatment as the elite that walk through the doors. The night of my check-in, I had a confirmed room but she spent several minutes looking for my room. I am assuming that she wanted to be sure to place me away from anyone “important”. It’s a nice hotel but I don’t think it’s better than others such as the Marquette just down the street. I don’t think it’s worth the hype to stay here.

It's a beautiful property. The interior and ambience was amazing. The staff was great. The valet was awesome about parking. I planned on using my car at least once a day. The charge was ridiculous but they said it would be cheaper to park across the street in the lot. I had planned that anyway. You have to go to the top floor for observation deck. Beautiful. The room was perfect...the only thing that needs to be changed is that God awful coffee pot in the room. I just waited and got coffee down the street. I would saty here again.

The overall stay was good, but not what we expected for a "luxury" hotel. We booked a King Suite for a birthday celebration and loved the room's layout, space, design, etc. However we were disappointed to find the pillowcase on the bed was dirty from either food or make up and greasy hand prints on the windows. We were offered a room change and found it to be somewhat of a downgrade. The new room had marks on the walls and missing artwork with exposed hooks. The bathroom was smaller and less luxurious than the original room. We were also disappointed with the lack of exta blankets or pillows in the room. However, the staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating tp our requests. The drinks at the Prohibition club were also delicious with amazing vies of the city!

No one was available to help with the luggage when we arrived. Ended up unloading our car ourselves. Went to check in and back to the car still no one was available to assist. About 30 minutes later someone did show up & he was very helpful.
Light on the left side of Thebes does not work. To last to address that situation tonight. Overall a nice place.
