Beautifully refurbished home in Volcano Village that provides convenience and comfort amidst the rainforest next to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. All rooms in the house are nicely appointed, beds are very comfortable, kitchen has everything you need...I highly recommend staying here as a base camp for this side of the Big Island.

Beautifully decorated authentic Hawaiian house close to the Volcano National Park. Comfortable beds and sofas, well equipped kitchen, spotlessly clean, we all loved this house and wished we could have stayed longer!

Second trip to Hawai’i, second time staying at this cute bungalow in Volcano. It’s well equipped, comfortable, and so convenient to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. We loved the orchids blooming in the trees in the front yard. Thanks for sharing it with us!

This is a great place to stay. It's in the town of Volcano near Volcanoes National Park. Volcano isn't the nicest town, but this is a nice house in Volcano. Everything was very clean. The rooms were plenty big. We didn't use the kitchen but it looked great. Washer and dryer on the back porch. Loved the unit overall. Highly recommend it.

Perfect and cozy house for our family vacation. Store and restaurant close by to go to before and after adventuring out to the volcano park and Hilo .

What an amazing, amazing old artisan home. Only five minutes away from the volcanic national park. The property manager was most gracious, and telling us locations nearby to eat. And what amenities? The area has plenty of room for our family which made an early arrival into the park very easy. We only stayed there one night but a very nice house and location.

This was one of the best vacation rentals I’ve stayed in. Great location, beautifully remodeled and nicely furnished, super clean and comfortable, and well equipped kitchen. My wife and I and our three kids loved it.

Great location for families, close to national park and restaurants for dinner. Bring groceries as options in town are limited.

Tbh, from the outside, the house doesn’t look like much, but inside the house was tastefully decorated and kitted out with some really nice furniture and kitchen stuff. Of the three places we stayed this trip, this was the most thoughtfully designed.
And it’s practically across the street from the park. Wish we could have stayed longer.

This property is so well taken care of and well maintained you could almost feel the love. The kitchen is well stocked for all meals, and we just love the location. The back lani is one of my favorite spots in the house, well and the fabulous tub too…

Absolutely gorgeous property! Warm and inviting, with the feel of old Hawaii but with 21st century amenities. It's also perfectly located with easy access to VNP, eateries, and convenience shopping.
Arieh was very responsive and helpful and clearly treasures this home as I came to treasure it.

The owner went above and beyond for us on our trip as well as has some nice touches in the house such as candles and bath salts for the wonderful soaker tub. I would highly recommend. The property is also 5 minutes from the National park which is a big plus.

We had a short stay, but a good night at this home. It was extremely clean and offered all the necessary amenities. The house was cozy and even decorated with a Christmas tree for the holidays. We wanted a full day + an evening in Volcano National Park and this house was perfect overnight accommodations for a family!

Mahalo for letting us stay in your beautiful home. We enjoyed our weekend at Campbell Hale. We came from Oahu to see the lava at Mauna Loa. She slowed down a lot and we froze but it was nice coming “home” to warm up by the fireplace. The home is well equipped and had lots of space for our family of 6. It’s a short drive to the National Park and a journey to everything else but for us the coldness of volcano is worth it. Mahalo again for your hospitality.

This house might be our favorite place we’ve stayed and we’ve stayed at a lot of places. Decor was simple, not cluttered like so many places, house was clean, lanai was comfortable. It was a great base camp to visit Volcanoes National Park, south point and green sand beach, Hilo, black sand beach, winery and more. Heed the advice to bring groceries from Hilo as restaurants near Volcano are limited and prices at the local store are super expensive.

Perfect Place for our Volcanoes Adventure
This is the most beautiful house just outside of the park and within walking distance of the very few amenities in the area. Host was super communicative and helpful with our navigating of the area. We wish we could stay longer!

Amazing house super close to Volcano National Park!
This is a beautiful home! Super clean; had more than everything you could need for your stay. We were five minutes from Volcano National Park so was perfect for nighttime viewing of the lava. It was also very convenient to the restaurants and shops in Volcano. Would give 10 stars if I could!

Great location and cozy house
We loved our stay at this property. The house was beautiful, cozy (great fireplace), and big enough so each teenager could have their own room. We also loved that it was so easy to go back and forth to the national park. I would stay here again!

Very nice place - very close to National Park
Perfect house for our visit to Volcanoes National Park. Very clean and had everything we needed. Appears probably built in the 1930’s but has had well done renovations. We like to cook and the kitchen was perfect for making some great dinners. Only two of us this trip but would be a great house for a family. We really enjoyed breakfast on the covered porch. Easy short walk to small grocery store and a decent restaurant.

Wonderful Cottage
We had five nights in this lovely home in Volcano Village. It was very comfortable and clean. The gas fireplace quickly took the chill off in the evening and early morning. There is a very nice lanai that you don’t see in the pictures. The house is a short walk to the restaurants in the village and very close to the National Park. We also drove to South Point and the turtle beach one day and Hilo and the Puna area another day. This is a wonderful home to stay in while exploring this side of the island.

Exceeded Expectations
We were visiting Hawaii National Park by day and planned to see the lava at night but our primary lodging was over 2 hours away so we were advised to find a place to stay overnight in Volcano Village. Well... this home was the first that popped up, had great reviews, and was about a mile from the NPS. We were welcomed to arrive about an hour before check-in and I was nervous because Volcano Village is a really small, rural town and the home is not far off the main road. When we walked in the house my mind was blown. It is beautifully decorated with love and care. We went during Kalikimaka time so there was a beautiful tree and a Santa sat upon the huge fire place. The bathrooms were fit for a spa retreat. The beds... I woke up feeling like a queen. My kids didn't want to leave. The house is also fully stocked, thank you for the cup tea and honey. Mahalo to Ms. Campbell for allowing us to stay with such short notice. Highly recommend!

Our new favorite!
As island residents, we get up to Volcano Village multiple times per year to enjoy the cooler temps and national park. By now, we have stayed in close to a dozen accommodations, and this sweet remodeled vintage bungalow is now our favorite. Comfy beds, well-stocked kitchen, cozy gas fireplace, and a claw foot tub made it hard to want to leave the home—but your have to, when the worlds most active volcano is literally down the road.
It’s also worth noting that as the owner of a cleaning company, I was impressed with the level of housekeeping…something I can very rarely say.
We will be back!

Amazing Location, Wonderful Bungalow!
First and foremost this is in an amazing location for access to Volcanoes National Park. The owner Arieh was awesome to work with, he made sure all our needs were met and check in and check out was very simpl. The bungalow is beautiful, cozy, inviting, comfortable and it has everything you could possibly want. I highly recommend this place and would stay here again for sure.

A great little house to stay
This house was great for our stay near the Volcanic National Park and Hilo. The house was perfect for my family of 5. House has clearly been remodeled and they did a great job! Fireplace was great because it dried everything out in the house. Kitchen had everything we needed. The back patio was great.

Beautiful home, wonderful stay
We enjoyed our evenings after long days in VNP in this comfortable, well-appointed home. There was plenty of room for our family of five, including teen and tween kids. I am a stickler about cleanliness, and the house was immaculate when we checked in. The house is stocked with basics. The dehumidifiers and space heaters came in handy for rainy, chilly nights. Very easy communicating with Arieh, he always responded to my questions right away. Would definitely stay here again.

Charming Home
This property is perfect with one caveat that will only matter if you have a sensitive sense of smell. Volcano is VERY wet, and the home (maybe all homes?) has a musty smell. This did not bother 3 of our party of 5, but was an issue for two of us. BUT, we've been to a ton of VRBOs and AB&Bs, and this was the nicest in many ways-really charmingly decorated, seemed that bathrooms and kitchen were recently redone and all were gorgeous, lovely back porch. Tons of charm. Property is next door to a small school, but there was no activity while we were there. About 5 minutes from NP visitors center. We were able to get a delicious breakfast down the road at 7 am and hit the "must do" trailhead (Iki Crater) by 8 am so had an amazing hike to ourselves. Owner mailed a forgotten raincoat same day we left and was very responsive. He/She is welcome to come to California to decorate my home!

Good choice near Volcanos Natl Park
We enjoyed our one night stay. The home is clean comfortable and well equipped. Very close to the park, allowing you to focus your time on sights and not commuting. We would have enjoyed spending more time on the outdoor lanai, unfortunately we spent our evening looking for some place to eat, everyone was out of food.

better than the pictures
Property and management are above expectations. great location to everything in volcano. Thank you for the umbrellas on the front porch and all the other small touches. Drivers be aware these is a large rock in the center of the grass/ dirt driveway that you will bottom out on if your not careful in your rental van/ car. We arrived in the dark and I didn’t see it.

Amazing weekend away
My friends and I stayed here on a visit to the National Park. The house was so lovely that we didn't even regret the rain which kept us inside. For staycationers, the fireplace was particularly awesome since Volcano gets chilly at night. A great property, very well hosted!

Wonderful access to the park!!!
We had 5 adults stay and we couldn't have asked for a better location to spend quality time in the park. We could easily drive there in the evening to view "the glow" and the stars (a must). Beyond the location the house was so comfortable for us!! The kitchen was fantastic to have access to some really nice amenities..wok, soy sauce, honey..so we used a little and didn't have to spend a fortune on supplies to make a meal. Highly recommend Aunty Pons food truck for thai food!! Only down side is little grocery store/restaurant choices and restaurants close early!! Once we figured out managing our time around that we were golden. Fireplace and dining table perfect for wonderful family meals!! Thank you so much for having us!!

The house is clean and cozy, with effective dehumidifier and heaters for cold, damp weather comfort. Easy to access national park and town of Volcano farmers market nearby on Sunday. The back patio is also lovely although not featured in listing photos. Thanks for a great stay!
