My husband and I had a blast in New Orleans Easter weekend 2024. Camelback Guesthouse was an ideal and absolutely lovely to stay! It is in a great walkable neighborhood with easy to the streetcar on St Charles. We can’t wait to return!

The Camelback house was fantastic! The historic house was beautifully restored and decorated. It was extremely comfortable, and had everything we needed. The kitchen was easy to cook in and the living room was great for relaxing. The location was great for access to the street car or a walk through the Garden District. We even walked to the WWII museum. Our hosts met us upon arrival and checked in with us the next day to make sure everything was perfect. We are seasoned travelers and this was seriously the best rental!

This place could not be better -- roomy, clean, historic, helpful owners, close to the streetcar line, away from the hustle and bustle of Bourbon Street. If you want to be in the craziness, this is not your place. If you want quiet, serene, tucked in a beautiful Garden District neighborhood, this is your place. We didn't need a car and used the streetcar or Uber or walked to get around. Perfect accommodations in immaculate shape. We'd stay here again anytime.

Corinna and Michele! Thank you for a wonderful stay. We enjoyed everything about your beautiful apt. We stay in a lot of VRBO's and this was by far our favorite...just can't beat the charm. We were able to share in a bit of history. You both were very attentive and accommodating. You thought of all the little things that made our stay so pleasant: plenty of towels, paper products, and the complimentary snacks and bottled water were very considerate...we can tell you have generous hearts. The location was great too; within walking distance to Magazine St and the St Charles St Trolley. We will definitely stay again. Everything was great and it was a pleasure to meet you both! Bravo!

This quaint shotgun house was great for our five day stay in NOLA! The property is well kept and it has charming curb appeal. The owners live on-site and also have a bike rental facility across the road with off-street parking if this is something you'll need during your stay. The trolley and Commanders Palace are both a short walk from the front door as well as a variety of shops. We enjoyed walking the neighborhood and admiring the architecture and beautiful, natural foliage. The location does border a somewhat questionable neighborhood but as long as you stay to the south, its a very nice quiet area. We never felt unsafe, even sitting on the porch at night and making several trips to the small market on the corner. Overall, a really great experience. Thank you Corinna and Michele for being excellent hosts!!

Our stay in the Garden District at this property was wonderful! The property was spotless inside and we had everything we needed. Parking was a few steps away and so convenient considering this is NOLA. Next time we come to NOLA we would certainly stay here again. The owners are nearby and although we didn't need anything we saw them in the neighborhood and they would have helped with anything we asked for, I'm sure! We spent a great part of our time on Magazine street and loved it! Can not wait to return.

We were pleasantly surprised to discover our place was a short walk to parade route and also many restaurants and shops. Host met us for check in and was very helpful. The home was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We hope to return soon.

This space is just what I’d hoped for while visiting NOLA. Very centrally located and a few minutes walk to the St. Charles streetcar line. Very clean and spacious, comfortable and quiet bedroom. Perfect for a couple visit. Thank you 😊. I highly recommend!

Great location close to trolley and Garden district
We had a wonderful stay at this adorable little shotgun/camelback house. It's only two blocks from the trolley which we used everyday. There are great restaurants in walking distance. We also got to see the Irish Channel parade which was on St. Charles. Comfortable and had everything we needed. Quiet location with friendly, helpful hosts!

Charming, clean, and convenient
My husband and I just stayed at the Camelback house. We have been trying different places as our daughter lives in NOLA now and this is by far our favorite! It is clean and charming. New kitchen! Lots of sundries- the kind that you don’t want to have to go out and buy for a short stay. Bed very comfortable! Sheets and blankets smelled clean! The property is a block from the streetcar, a few blocks over and you are near lots of restaurants and shops. The Hotel Pontchartrain is less than 10 minutes away and good for dinner, bar (rooftop), and jazz. Owners are friendly and responsive but we really didn’t need them! There were no problems. Highly recommend!

Great New Orleans charm, spacious, clean and close to the streetcar
A great place to come home to after all your adventures - and still feel like you're in New Orleans! Clean, well equipped, great bed and good lighting. Corinna was lovely to work with and everything was easy. We'll be back!

Very Comfortable With Good Location
We enjoyed our stay in the Camelback apartment. We walked to several activities and never used our car. There is a great coffee shop about a block and a half away and Commanders Palace is also less than two blocks. We rented the blue bicycles and rode down St. Charles to the zoo area. This is only a block or so from the Trolley which takes you to French Town. We used Uber for everything else.

Lovely stay
Good location for visits to both French Quarter and Magazine Street. Loved the easy walk-ability on St. Charles and to Magazine and the surrounding parks. House was lovely, very nicely equipped, quite comfy. Might want to add some “plastic cups” for “go cups” (we’re not used to being able to walk around with a drink in our hands!!), but other than that, very well stocked kitchen. Thanks so much, Corinna and Michele. Sorry we didn’t actually meet you!!

Lovely for a couples’ getaway
Old New Orleans charm, takes you back in time, but with all the conveniences of a current home. Close to St Charles trolley so didn’t need to use the car. Owner was very responsive online leading up to our stay and eager to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable without a want or need unmet. Overall a lovely experience. We would go back and recommend it to others for sure.

Beautiful and perfect location
The Camelback Guest house Apt. 1 was beautiful and just as shown in the pictures! Upon arrival we were greeted by Corinna and her husband and shown the property. Everything in the apartment was stocked nicely and the snacks and King Cake were a pleasant surprise. The location of the apartment was absolutely perfect and within a short walk to the parades on St. Charles and Magazine Street. When we travel back to New Orleans in the future, we will definitely stay here again!

Amazing Place to stay while enjoying New Orleans
We felt that we had the perfect "anchor" for our visit to New Orleans. Everything was first class and well thought out. the kitchen had all the amenities of Home, and this theme was carried through the entire house. Plus our Hosts were so accomodating, and available to answer any and all questions that arose. And the Garden District is perfectly situated while visiting New Orleans; the Saint Charles Trolley line is a short walk.
I would highly recommend the Camelback Guest House.

Great apartment, wonderful hosts, one-of-a-kind city!
My husband and I spent a few days recently at the Camelback Guest House in New Orleans. We love architecture, so we were happy to take in all the amazing mansions and buildings of the Garden District, but as the location of this apartment is very near St. Charles street and the trolley, we also were able to experience some wonderful meals and shopping. Of course, we took in the sights and sounds of the French Quarter ... but I am a bit of a home body, and I really enjoyed relaxing in our very own (temporarily!) historic apartment, which Michael and Corina have beautifully renovated to modern standards while retaining its elegance and charm. Our vacation was short, but just what we both needed to recharge. If you are in need of some terrific sight-seeing, great shopping, amazing dining, and lots of relaxation, I highly recommend you begin your stay in New Orleans at the Camelback Guest House.

Very accommodating owners
Became our quiet home in the Garden District. So easy to get around by streetcar in New Orleans, east to the French Quarter by scenic ride, or west to the Universities and Audubon Park. (Washington stop just a block south).

Great location, beautiful property, gracious hosts
If you are planning to visit New Orleans you'd be crazy not to stay here. The location is perfect - in the beautiful, quiet Garden District, walkable to the historic St. Charles streetcar which brings you right to the French Quarter. It is also a quick walk to Magazine Street with tons of cute restaurants and shops including Ruby Slipper and Another Cracked Egg for breakfast. The apartment itself is immaculate. Corinna and Michele have restored it beautifully. Everything you could possibly need is there. Corinna was away during our visit but Michele welcomed us when we arrived and showed us around. He gave us some recommendations for restaurants and was even kind enough to print out tickets to a performance that we had purchased online.

The best place we have stayed in New Orleans
From the moment you walk through the door of this wonderful Apt.# 1 you know you are somewhere special. The place is lovely. Not only is it lovely but it is immaculately clean. The sitting room is so comfortable and the color of the walls are so pleasing. The kitchen is wonderful everything you need to cook and eat and feel right at home. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom perfect too. The location of the apartment is a short walk to all you love to do in New Orleans...the streetcar on St. Charles to take you where you need to go, walking distance to all over the Garden district, easy walk to one of the best cemeteries in NOLA, and to the fantastic eating places on Magazine Street. The owners Corinna and Michele were so helpful and are wonderful. Thank you Corinna and Michele for providing such a happy place to stay in NOLA. We will be back.

Great Experience
This was our first time to NOLA and Corinna and Michele were the perfect hosts. The shutgun apartment was terrific with a full kitchen. The locations was ideal for taking the St Charles street car to the French Quarter. And off street parking was very convenient. Would definitely recommend this property to friends and family.

Beautiful Place, Great Location
Let me just say that the neighborhoods of New Orleans are old , beautiful and culturally mixed. One street or building can be totally rehabbed while the next street or house over needs alot of work. This place has been beautifully rehabbed while some other houses on this street need some work. The location is wonderfully. There are two old cemeteries nearby and we took a guided tour of one of them. There is a self guided tour of the homes in the Garden District in the AAA guide and it started a few blocks from us. We saw several others taking the same tour. The St Charles Trolley line is two blocks from this place. I recommend you get the five day pass if you will be in town for that length of time as the trolley is convenient to most of New Orleans sites. The hosts were very helpful and available. We loved staying in the Garden District and would stay here again if in town.

Great home, Great Spot
Our stay in the Garden District was made easy with this wonderful home. Corinna was wonderfully helpful and the little extra touches made our stay perfect. It is a short walk away from the St Charles trolley bus, which we used every day and The Commanders Palace where we had a wonderful meal. Highly recommended.

Great place to stay, and fantastic hosts. Highly recommended!
We arrived in the evening and grabbed a cab to the house. Corinna was there to meet us and show us around, and when we told her that we needed to rush off and get some groceries before the store closed she grabbed her keys and drove us to the Fresh Market. This set the tone for a wonderful stay.
After so many hotel stays what a refreshing change to be in a place that felt like home, all the amenities you needed were there and very clean. The renovations were very well done. The other great thing compared to a hotel or other places we have stayed was the quiet. Rarely heard any noise, and never when sleeping. Being well rested on vacation doesn't always happen. Corinna and Michele provided a great visitors guide with restaurant and entertainment recommendations.
Location was just right for us. Easy walk to local restaurants and groceries and the streetcar just a block away was great. Would definitely stay again.
