This property was paradise, we didn't want to leave. The home is secluded and beautiful, updated, and so comfortable. It was impeccably clean. Our young adult daughters had a blast riding bikes to the local food stands, and we all enjoyed the 5 minute walk or bike ride to the gorgeous Sunset Beach. Yuki was an absolute pleasure to work with. We absolutely plan own being back.

We had a wonderful time and the cottage exceeded our expectations. Excellent location. We are a family of four with our children being in college and last year in high school. There was plenty of room for all of us. We will definitely plan to stay here again if we have the chance.

Property is amazing - had every thing we needed and more! Walking distance to sunset beach - absolutely beautiful. Have done the stressful Waikiki stay many times - this place was exactly what we needed - very relaxing with all the amenities of home. Host feels like a friend :)

We had the absolute best stay! The house was perfect and so comfortable. It is absolutely as pictured! I would stay here a million times again! The owners were very helpful in helping us plan out specifics for things we wanted to do and places to go! I am sad we are no longer there! The house was located in a beautiful neighborhood and a short walk to the beach! It was truly perfect!

Yuki’s place creates the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway. We woke up to the sound of the ocean, and birds, every morning. We sipped coffee from the deck shaded by a mango tree. The home is private, and gave us a perfect holiday on the island. Yuki (along with her dog Gypsy) is a phenomenal host, and made everything easy.

I spent a lot of time on the North Shore growing up and every time I come back, it’s back to that HI happiness.
The house is perfectly located and it’s an easy walk to Sunset Beach. House is well appointed and spacious for our group of 4. Owner Yuki was very communicative and obliging. We enjoyed our stay very much.
Extra bonus: there is a neighbor horse and as a longtime horse owner, horses make me happy too :)

The location of the property is excellent. We had no problems with getting in. The kitchen has everything you need to make meals. There is a washer and dryer available in the house. The beds were so comfortable!

Nice quiet location near cool spots
Family of four stayed for a week in May. The house is about a 5 minute walk to Sunset Beach, which is really nice and not as crowded as most of the beaches on the island (at least in May). Waimea Bay and Falls are 10 minutes away by car. Haleiwa is about 15-20 mins away. Great food close by, as well as a large grocery store. The house is pretty secluded and surrounded by trees. Kids loved playing in the yard. Our host was very quick to respond to questions. House was well equipped for our family's needs. We had a great time and hope to come back soon.

Very cozy and relaxing House
We really enjoyed our stay at Yuki's house. It was super clean and functional and felt as private as you can ask for in the area. It was easy to find and just a short walk down to a beautiful beach.
We definitely would recommend this place and would go back again. Thank you Yuki!

Beautiful And quiet place to relax
Yuki's place was very quiet and beautiful. We had a very pleasant stay in our two weeks there. The place is private and decided, but walking distance to sunset and Ted's bakery. Yuki supplies bikes to help get to the various other surf breaks on the north shore. We stayed at the place with our baby and found Yuki had everything we need from kitchenware to bathroom needs.

Couldn't have been a better Experience
Wow. We LOVED this property. The communication with the owner was excellent. The property itself had everything we needed, plus more. It is in an excellent location. The whole experience was simple and just as we had hoped. Thank you for making our time on Oahu so wonderful!

Great north shore cottage
We stayed 5 nights and the property was perfect for us. Very private cottage on a large very well landscaped parcel. The owner, Yuki, could not have been more helpful for the check in process and during our stay. Sunset, banzai and sharks cove very accessible. Short drive to Waimea and Haleiwa. Would definitely stay again.

Check in was so easy, lots of special touches in the house. Fresh flower bouquet on table, Oahu revealed book that was so useful. We couldn’t be happier with the location and cottage.

Our family decided to stay on the North Shore for a 10-day vacation and we came across this listing. We were immediately drawn to how nice the property and home looked in the pictures. Once we booked it Yuki called and was very excited & welcoming. She was able to provide a lot of information about the place, Oahu, and the North Shore in general. Which was helpful as we had never been. As far as the home- it was all that we expected! Yuki supplies plates, cups, silverware, blender, etc, along with some other household needs. The location is very safe as there is a gate to get to the home and it is 1 min the beautiful Sunset Beach! Overall, we recommend you book this property right away!! Thanks Yuki!!!

Great stay on the North Shore
We had a great time in the cottage. it was clean, comfortable bed, nice bathroom and outside there is a lot of options to sit and/or relax. it's very close to many beaches for swimming, best sunsets and a lot of good food trucks. We would stay again if we make it again to the North Shore.

Nice, open, private, hillside retreat right by sunset beach.
We loved our stay at this place, which is less than a one minute drive from Sunset Beach. The property was really big with a lot of trees and open grass, just like the pictures. We played a lot of baseball and frisbee after we got back from the beach before dinner. The kids also really enjoyed climbing the trees, catching lizards, and feeding the goats. The inside of the home was bright and open with comfy furniture and bedding. Our biggest concern was privacy, not necessarily for us but because we wanted a big private space for our kids to play and be loud since they’ve been so cooped up since coronavirus. This was exactly that. We only saw Yuki when we stopped by her house on the adjacent lot to ask questions, otherwise, we felt completely isolated as there were trees and fences surrounding the large property so we had the whole place to ourselves. It was a great time and Yuki was great as well. Would definitely recommend and we’ll for sure be back for another staycation.

Light and Bright
The place felt incredibly private. Loved all the sliding doors and windows. We could hear the surf from Sunset Beach and the many birds that live on the property. Host was very attentive and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Living space is large and has good air flow.

Winter in Paradise
My husband and I loved staying in Yuki’s beautiful cottage. It is private but close to amazing beaches and great food. We felt like teenagers touring around on the provided bikes and checking out the surfing and sunsets. I highly recommend staying here!

Quiet, roomy and walking distance to sunset beach
I enjoyed my quiet time here. It’s the classic north shore experience. Really peaceful. Bed in master was comfortable with really nice linens. All kitchen essentials there to cook meals. I enjoyed the garden setting with an outside daybed. There are some goats next door which are fun to peek at. Grocery store and food trucks are a 5 minute drive down the road. Do not come with a large vehicle. I had a medium size car and was ok, any bigger would have been an issue. Of note- and easy fix- there are no window coverings in any of the common area windows or sliding glass doors. If you like your privacy, you WILL notice a difference here. I would stay here again for sure. A nice quiet respite tucked away from sunset beach and the traffic on Kam hwy. Owner easily reached and responsive.

Lulled by crashing waves of Sunset Beach.
If you enjoy the convenience of being in the city, then this isn't the place for you. This is a place for folks who want to get away from the chaos of rows and rows of hotels. Conveniently located within a 1 min drive or 10 min walk to the North Shore beaches. The cottage is on a large property which is shared with the owner's home. Don't let this discourage you. There is a large hedge of trees between the rental property and main house as well as plenty of distance to give you privacy. I do recommend you rent a SUV because the driveway is made of 2 slabs of concrete with 2 to 4 inches of drop off. It is no 5 star hotel. There is some wear and tear, but it is comfortable enough for you to sleep in. It is spacious, has lots of large windows, and 4 ceiling fans to help keep you comfortable through the night. Do bring plenty of bug spray. You can't keep the bugs out no matter how hard you try. Overall, excellent value and experience.

North shore escape
My wife and I booked Yuki’s cottage for our honeymoon. We couldn’t have made a better choice. She was very helpful with any questions we had and made our stay Wonderful.
The property is in a prime location on the north shore for all your needs. Not to mention the cottage is beautiful overall. We went to a new beach everyday and watched the beautiful sunsets at sunset beach more than once. history, beaches, hikes, food and quietness can all be found here!
Food land is right around the corner for groceries and Haleiwa is around a 20 min drive for shops and amazing dinners. Bikes and snorkels can be used which is a plus for sharks cove which is only a few minutes down the road.
I would recommend yuki’s place to anyone looking for a place to stay on the north shore!
We did stay in Waikiki the last 2 nights and it really showed us how amazing the north shore was and how happy we were with our decision. Staying here for most of the trip.

Great Sunset Beach Get Away
This was a great find for us - close to Sunset Beach (a short walk or bike ride) and conveniently located. The place was very clean and well equipped- a great home away from
home. Bikes, snorkel gear, chairs, boogie boards and umbrellas are available for use. We will definitely be back to stay here the next time we go to the North Shore. And Yuki was very helpful when we needed help. We highly recommend this property!

Loved Our Stay!
This property was PERFECT for our family of four. Our kids loved roaming around the gated property and feeding the goats living next door. We had privacy and quiet in the evenings which was wonderful after a long day of fun. The walk to Sunset Beach was gorgeous and easy. And Yuki was very helpful anytime we needed anything. We have already decided that this is where we will stay when we come to Oahu again. Thank you Yuki for an amazing family getaway!

Wonderful stay
We stayed in this rental for a week and loved it. It's beach close but off the main road so offers the kind of quiet tranquility we were looking for. The yard is big and private, and the property gated and secure. We enjoyed sitting on the lanai and listening to the waves pounding at Sunset. It was an easy walk to Ted's bakery and a short drive to Haleiwa town and all the North Shore beaches. The place was sparkling clean and had plenty of space, including a huge master bedroom, large living room, and fine kitchen. Yuki, the host, was welcoming and available, and made everything easy. Hope to be back soon!

Fabulous property set in beautiful grounds and only a short stroll to the wonderful Sunset Beach
Thank you Yuki for letting us stay in your wonderful cottage whilst visiting Oahu from the UK.
We spent 2.5 weeks enjoying the private and peaceful location in this lovely neighbourhood on the North Shore (celebrating our son's 23rd birthday and our 50th's!).
The spacious cottage was spotlessly clean and well equipped for our stay with beautiful furniture (inside and out), very comfortable beds, sumptuous linen and ample fully towels. We enjoyed the beautiful large, secluded garden together with sheltering from the sun on the veranda.
We made great use of the cruiser bikes provided (only 5 minutes to 'Pipeline' to watch the WSL!) along with parasols, beach chairs, bodyboards etc. which we thought was a nice touch.
Yuki was an exceptional host and discreetly attentive to all of our needs with a big smile and a friendly chat. She was alway happy to share her strong knowledge of Hawaii, the local area, shopping, surfing etc!
Whilst being in a lovely secluded location, the cottage is still only a 45 min drive from downtown Honolulu... although we rarely left the peace and tranquillity (and the huge surfing waves which our son loved!) of the un-commercialised North Shore.
We would unreservedly recommend this cottage to any family or couple looking to spend time in Oahu.

A Wonderful Beach House
I am so pleased to write this review regarding Yuki's Sunset Beach house. We stayed for 9 days and it was wonderful. The location was awesome as its only a 5 minute walk to Sunset with access to bike trails and a five minute drive to Ted's Bakery. The home itself was very clean and well maintained and totally private. The neighbors were very friendly and the area was very safe and tranquil. Yuki always had great advice on activities and questions as to the area. This vacation was everything I had hoped for and I would stay at this location again without question. We used the beach chairs everyday and the bikes were fun as well. We were immediately immersed in the local culture and lifestyle at this location and it was a wonderful escape from the tourist areas of the South shore. Thank you Yuki again for being a wonderful host. We truly did enjoy everything!

Love at first site!
From the moment we opened the private gate into the property we had the feeling that we were in for something very special. We drove down the driveway to our very private "cottage" and it just got better and better. The large yard area was absolutely beautiful. The deck where we had a morning coffee and watched the cattle egrets was lovely and had plenty of comfortable seating. The inside was very spacious and filled with beautiful furniture. Lots of sliding glass doors and large windows, so you were able to enjoy the outside, even when inside. The couches and beds were extremely comfortable. There is no A/C, but don't let this deter you. We were there in August and I don't think we would have ever needed to turn on the A/C even if the home did have it. I did not meet Yuki directly but did have a few conversations with her on the phone and she was very friendly and helpful with any of our needs. My daughter did have the pleasure of meeting her and her adorable dog, Ginger and said she had a very nice visit. The short drive down to the beach was so convenient and Yuki had everything we needed, beach towels, chairs, etc. If I were to have one complaint, it would only be that connecting to the internet was difficult, so we often were not able to watch any t.v., but we didn't come to Oahu to watch t.v., so really this wasn't much of an issue. All in all we felt extremely fortunate to have found this gem.

The cottage is a lovely getaway on the North Shore, perfect for families and so near the beach!
We had a wonderful four-night stay in the cottage, which slept our family of four very comfortably. The location could not be better, just a couple of blocks up from Sunset Beach, which we found to be relatively uncrowded even at the height of summer. The cottage was a perfect base on the North Shore, and we often drove over to Haleiwa for dinners (although we could have cooked in, as the kitchen is well equipped) and spent time on other nearby beaches. In the end, we most appreciated being able to walk to the beach so we avoided the parking chaos elsewhere.
The cottage itself is spacious, has two large beds (one king, one queen), and plenty of room for our kids. They especially enjoyed the local wildlife, including lizards and chickens as well as the neighbor's goat and sheep. Yuki was incredibly gracious and accommodating, supplying beach chairs, umbrella, and boogie boards for our use (there were bikes too), and offering advice on local shopping and food. If we are lucky enough to return to Oahu, we will definitely try to stay here again.
