The property, hosts, staff and experience were a solid 10 out of 10 stars. The surrounding area is not asbeautiful but we did not mind as where we were was perfect!

Our stay at Villa Paraiso was exactly what we hoped for. The villa was beautiful with many areas that offered privacy when we wanted it and communal areas for when we felt sociable. Yolanda did a superb job with the food. Carlos took me to the central market to show me all of the vendors as he was shopping for our meal that day. It was one of the largest markets I have been to. Yolanda and Carlos really made our stay special. The owners of the Villa were so helpful and answered our many questions almost immediately. Their advice and directions were invaluable. We are so happy that we booked Villa Paraiso for our family vacation.

We would definitely stay here again, the villa was beautiful, perched on a cliff overlooking the ocean and a bird sanctuary. There are three levels to lounge on, each unique and comfortable, and the whole place is clean, comfortable and well maintained. We spent most of our time lounging at the villa, swimming in the pool, abs generally just enjoying our surroundings.
The owner, Judith, was extremely helpful and responsive when we had questions, and was happy to set up a ride from the airport to the villa for us.
Last but definitely not least, the caretaker, Carlos, and his wife, Yolanda, were amazing!!! They were very patient with my basic Spanish skills, and were the meals Yolanda cooked for us were all amazing! Carlos went to town daily to pick up fresh food and things we needed, and he and Yolanda were so kind and fun to be around! They went out of their way to make my birthday special and by the time I left they felt like family!
I will definitely be back and would highly recommend this place!

I had a lot of fun in this property, Anita and her family where very nice to us but I didn't like that they kept insisting on us giving them tips I found that very rude, and since the lady that would clean the rooms left the person that was cleaning them sometimes wouldn't take out the trash or fill up the water container in the room and the shower was never cleaned in the 8 days I was there and there was a bit of miscommunication since apparently they charge by room and we had to all sleep together so we wouldn't have to pay more. It wasn't a bad experience but I've definitely had better experiences in other homes I've rented thru here before

My partner and I of 15 years finally tied the knot, We could not be happier with the choice of vacation rentals for that celebration.
Villa Paraiso, in beautiful Acapulco, Mexico was a real treat. This Villa has it ALL.
The owners, Judith and Eduardo were amazing right from the "get go" They answered all of questions that we had before we booked. Making sure that we had safe, reliable, and air conditioned transportation from the airport to the villa (for a nominal fee) The driver was wonderful, making sure to point out all of the interesting things on the way.
When arriving to Villa Paraiso, we were immediately greated by smiling, friendly faces. These wonderful folks, Anita, Emilio and Norma would be our "Hosts" for the week. Given that our Spanish is very broken, Norma was a wonderful translator for us. We were shown the beautiful property and were given a choice of 6 bedrooms to choose from, all with AC. Of course they had already made the "Honeymoon Suite" up for us, Priceless!!
The first evening we enjoyed some beverages on the huge terrace as the sun went down. The views could not have been more perfect, watching the sun, listening to the waves crash below, beautiful calming music (of our choice, from their collection) being piped in all over, we knew we had found PARADISE.
Anita, the wonderful cook and dear lady, had dinner already for us the first night. Huge shrimp with a delicious rice dish, fresh Broccoli and green salad. HEAVEN
We would later find out that this was the "norm" for the week, we would be asked what we would like for breakfast and lunch, for the next day, each day. Emilio (Husband to Anita, Dad to Norma) would go to the markets each morning to get all of the fresh ingredients. We would pay daily based on our menu selections, which was nice, not having to plan the whole week in advance. Every meal was just as wonderful as the day before.
I think we agreed that this has to be one of the BEST panoramic views of the ocean in all of Acapulco, after all, you have 3 levels of the Villa all to yourself to enjoy it. Down one floor is a beautiful Palapa with great decor and comfy couch. This is where you find the relaxing Jacuzzi tub. HEAVEN
We were so thrilled at the OUTSTANDING service that we experienced not only by the wonderful staff, but the owners as well. We felt like we were leaving family, as we said our "Goodbye's" This truly is a very special place, with special people. We will be back soon.
THANK YOU!!

My husband & I and our daughter & son-in-law enjoyed a wonderful week at this absolutely beautiful villa! Anita cooked us wonderful meals and Emilio quietly took care of the pool, shopping & grilling and everything else. We felt so wonderfully taken care of and enjoyed them very much! Our rooms were made up every day too. We had everything we could have wanted! We enjoyed the private beach below 3 of the days we were there. We were careful as the waves can be quite strong! It is quite a trek to climb back up but a quick rinse at the outdoor shower and then a dip in the pool revived us in a hurry.
Be prepared for heat and humidity! We used the air conditioning every night. We didn't use the hot tub except once as we preferred the pool but it is a beautiful view from there too. Actually, all three levels you can see and hear the ocean & we spent a lot of time watching the fisherman and birds with the binoculars provided. The Great Kiskadees are usually what we heard 1st thing in the morning and we also watched a cute family of squirrels in the trees.
We hope to return with friends in the future as this was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable vactions we have had! Thank you Eduardo, Judith, Anita & Emilio!!

Great place to get relaxed and recharge your batteries. The best part of it is a great view and a private beach (which should be deserved though as it's quite a walk!) Anita was taking good care of us. Merci!

We spent a summer weekend at Villa Paraiso and couldn't have been more delighted. Set in a secluded, secure, gated spot just a couple miles up the coast from Acapulco city center, the house is built into a hillside overlooking a quiet cove with stunning views of the bluffs, ocean and beach below. A safe, private path provides access to the nearly empty beach. Lots of exotic tropical birds, spectacular sunsets, and the occasional small fishing boat to watch from the enormous and well-appointed terraces (one covered, one open). An attractive, curved swimming pool and a jacuzzi are nice amenities. Plenty of ceiling fans to keep the air moving on hot summer days, and our bedroom was comfortably air-conditioned.
The staff of three people (cook, caretaker and housekeeper) are friendly and helpful, and were patient with my poor Spanish. We were without a car so we relied on them to call us safe, inexpensive taxis to take us into town, which always arrived on time exactly as promised. Anita's cooking is something to be savored (I'll tell ya, the woman can MAKE a quesadilla, and then there's her guacamole); and the local ingredients she uses (seafood in particular) are exquisite.
Hosts Judith and Eduardo happened to be in town the weekend we were there, and they were friendly and gracious with their hospitality throughout our stay. Eduardo even took part of his Saturday to show us around Acapulco, take us to see the famous cliff divers, and clue us into his favorite place to eat tamales.
As a side note, we arrived from Mexico City and departed Acapulco by bus. The nonstop Diamante service from bus line Estrella de Oro is highly recommended for comfort, safety, amenities, on-time performance, and cost.
All-in-all, highly recommended.

A wonderful home in a beautiful location.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, saw some whales from the house and went water skiing. The house was so comfortable and the kids liked the pool so much that we didn't spend much time anywhere else. The cook was excellent and all the seafood and produce fresh. We went to Pie de la Cuesta and went water skiing in the lagoon. We crossed the street to the beach, sunbathed, drank pina coladas but the surf was too high for swimming. Acapulco Bay was much better for swimming, the waves in the bay are much smaller.
I'd recommend the villa to anyone, especially if you are on a limited budget. The money that we saved by buying our own food and having Anita prepare it for us more than covered our travel expenses. The house was clean with maid service every day. We also got to talk to the owner on several occasions who was nice and helped us overcome our lack of Spanish with the help and advised us of places to visit. Best of all were the evenings, we had clear weather and the sunsets were spectacular with hundreds of frigate birds and pelicans soaring over the beach and house.

Perfect way to enjoy Acapulco!
As a family with 4 kids(3 teens), we wanted to stay somewhere that was comfortable and off the beaten path, so we could just relax and set our own pace. Villa Paraiso was absolutely perfect for us. We loved having the pool all to ourselves, and liked being able to walk down to the beach and not have anyone there except a few fishermen. Anita was a great cook, and being able to let her know what we wanted to eat without having to go buy or prepare anything was one of the best parts of the vacation! Anita, Emilio and Norma are all very good at their jobs, and extremely accomodating. We felt very comfortable around them. The location of the house is perfect; close to downtown Acapulco so it was just a short drive to do anything we wanted there, and also to Pie de la Cuesta, where we enjoyed the beach and especially taking a boat to Bird Island(one of the highlights of the trip). Thank you Judy for being so accomodating in working with us to help make this trip happen. We highly recommend Villa Paraiso and will certainly be staying here everytime we visit Acapulco; it just wouldn't be as wonderful anywhere else.

Return Visitor from Germany
Looking over the many reviews already posted here, I find there’s really not much left for me to add to the eulogies and detailed descriptions of this gorgeous and unique property. Villa Paraíso undoubtedly lives up to its name.
I’ve been coming here approx. every 3 years for a number of years, and every time I’m back, I’m amazed at the way Judith, the owner and a long-time friend of mine since our early days at UT Austin, Texas, manages to add even more beauty to this place that seemed already perfect to me the very first time I got to discover it. The constant upgrades Judith has made over the years are so completely in line with the fascinating environment that everything blends in just perfectly with Mother Nature. As a result of all these improvements, visitors get to live an unforgettable experience in great comfort and in an atmosphere of total relaxation and harmony. It all makes you feel like you were on a different planet.
The spectacular view from all parts of the house and the famous Acapulco sunsets are only some of the assets the villa has to offer; not to mention Anita, who will pamper you with the results of her incredible cooking talents and delicious drinks.
For those of you who, like me, need some activity besides relaxing, you can go waterskiing on a nearby lake (Pie de la Cuesta), but actually, you don’t even have to leave the premises. You can just walk down to the private beach or explore for hours the “piece of jungle” right below the house (suitable footwear required!). In fact, you don’t even need a car when you feel the urge to shake a leg. At only 3 min. walking distance from the house you’ll find a spacious terrace-like restaurant overlooking the ocean, where live-bands are performing almost daily. This is a hot tip for lovers of salsa and Latin-American music in general, even though Judith will hate me for mentioning this… (she is not enthused at all by the presence of this place in her neighbourhood).
Villa Paraíso is a fantastic retreat for anyone, no matter whether you visit with friends, family or on your own. I guarantee you’ll miss it once you’re back home – like I do now!

Excellent Stay
Villa Paraiso was an excellent place to stay. Quiet and secluded, with a warm friendly staff. Cooking was great, scenery was great, everything was great! Great location away from the "tourist trap". Thanks Judith for making our vacation so much fun...

Villa Paraiso is a marvellous and unforgettable experience. The views are spectacular, Anita is the best cook and attention is warm and friendly. Lounging in the hammock, the terrace, the pool or the jaccuzi are divine. Truly a perfect tropical paradise.

We had the best time ever in Villa Paraiso. The house is wonderful with great views (you cannot miss sunset). All levels bring something new to the house charachter. I have been there with my wife and two other couples, each couple had its own level.
Anita's cooking is just .... I cannot even find words for this!!!
The only thing that is a waist of time is private beach (it should be removed from the descprition), do not go there!! Go to Pie de la Cuesta, which is just few minutes by car. It is a paradise!!! We loved the lake and miles of empty beaches, it is so much better than the Acapulco itself (still, you cannot miss the food at El Cabrito).
