Good value. Great location. Great parking options in Marina next to Ilikai. $1 per hour is not bad. Accommodations are not plush but they met our needs for a short trip. Everything worked. It’s a fifth floor property with nice balcony with ocean and view of lagoon by Hilton.

It was true that you don't need to rent a car. Everything is within walking distance - beach, scuba diving, surfing, snorkeling, trails for walking/running, shopping, fire works, parasailing, etc. it was a lot of fun.
The Ilikai hotel has everything you need also. We especially loved the ice cream shop - Dave Ice cream - the ice cream and people were awesome!
I loved sitting on the balcony. The view is perfect, the weather is perfect, the sounds are relaxing and you get dove and bird visitors also.
The kitchen had everything I needed and they even had a welcome box of chocolate that we all loved and enjoyed. There is a Costco closed by and we stopped on our way from the airport and got food for the week. I liked that the condo had oil, salt and pepper and other condiments. They also had coffee and hot chocolate.
They also have chairs and a mat to go to the beach and be comfortable as well as spray sunscreen and aloe for the sunburn.
I loved that it is no smoking and the condo smelled good.
I didn't like that by the end of our stay there were people in other levels who were smoking and ruined my time on the balcony.
Things to be aware is that the condo is just 1 room, there is no door to divide the king bed area and the area with the futon and chair, so no privacy for the couple.
They also need to change the shower curtain because it is moldy.
We loved it overall and will consider staying here again next time we visit Hawaii.

Good experience. Arvis is very helful and considerate.

Very accurate listing. Property is in perfect location. Hotel is a bit older with some cosmetic issues outside the actual unit we stayed in. Unit itself was as described. Great large bathroom. Well appointed kitchen area and comfortable sleeping arrangements for my family. The views from the balcony were spectacular and we spent most of the trip with the doors wide open to take advantage of the smells and winds and extra space. very comfortable week with great communication from the property owner. FYI, as VRBO renter and not hotel guest we were not allowed to use the gym in the hotel but we were allowed to use the pool. And the beaches more than made up for the lack of gym use. Great spot to get to anything you want to see in Honolulu (and north shore wasnt too far away). Mahalo!

Convenient location in a nice complex. However, unit had some "issues". AC didn't work very well, some electrical outlets didn't work, wallpaper is peeling in numerous places, one of the lamps didn't work.

The patio/balcony was great, excellent view of the ocean! The location was great, a very shy walk to the beach.

My wife and I stayed for eight nights and had an amazing time. Everything was in walking distance and we adventure the whole island. Couldn’t ask for a better location!

We have similar thoughts as previous reviewers. This is a well warn apartment that could use a well deserved refresh. Yes the wall covering is peeling in places and the doors are chipped and cracked. If you look for it, you'll find some hidden dirt. If you're looking for 5 star (or even 4 star) modern and sleek accommodations, then this is not it! But, the apartment is well stocked and does meet all your basic needs. We've stayed in the Ilikai several times in the past on much higher floors and we were pleasantly surprised that the ocean and lagoon views were better than expected (better than it looks in the photos).Unfortunately, with the building suffering from ongoing mechanical issues with their elevators during our 2 weeks, staying on a lower floor turned out to be a good thing.
Overall, a positive experience.

Lots of mould n mildew. Wallpaper peeling off, dark, to much of the owner personal items. Broken or almost broken furniture. Electrical outlets non existent or not working. Air conditioner was poor n the bed was old n not so comfortable.

The host, Arvis, was very accommodating and awesome to work with. Everything we needed was provided, including lots of beach toys, chairs, etc. Yes, the unit needs a little updating, but the furniture, including the bed, were comfortable and the kitchen well-equipped. We really didn't spend much time in the unit because the pools on the property are awesome and the beach really close. Didn't rent a car because everything we needed was within walking distance. Very enjoyable experience.

This property needs some maintenance. The A/C did not work at all. Wallpaper is falling off walls and paint is chipped. Bathroom had lots of mold in the shower and the toilet was difficult to flush.
Great location. But condo is not great.
4.6
The location of the condo - in the Ilikai Hotel - was terrific, with a wonderful view of the lagoon (at the Hilton resort across the way) and the ocean, plus the two pools at the hotel. Having a kitchen at my disposal was great - and the amenities at the hotel were bar-none (including the store and Dave's Ice Cream). Everyone I encountered who were working the property were friendly and helpful. The only drag were the pigeons on the lanai - next time I will bring a water pistol. I would definitely stay at this condo again.

The room & location was spectacular however the AC system was not cooling the room & the bathroom was too hot. Single chair & iron board was broken & most electrical outlets were out. Luckily we didnt spend too much time in the room during the day & we were out til late at nite. Arvis was great in responding right away & will definitely stay here again!!
4.6
Conveniently located. Could not see the fireworks from the location. Easy access to the condo and the owner was kind enough to allow us to check in earlier than the normal check in time.

Enjoyed our stay
4.6
Property was as expected, has things for the beach. Has stuff to cook when your trying not to eat out every time. Loved our experience here. You can see the fireworks on Friday's. Great communication. Lovely hotel with shops on 1st floor. Can walk to the malls from here no problem.
4.6
The unit is outdated. No central air, just only have a split ac. If you want the bang for the buck, yes it is. The location is very near to the beach, bus station, restaurants, and Ala Moana center. In the condo, there is enough cookware and kitchen essentials. Beach chairs, umbrella, water boards, life vests, .. are placed at the balcony, so you don't need to buy these stuffs. The view is good. It is a fresh to have a coffee and sitting at the balcony in the early morning. For the firework, you can't see it when sitting at the balcony. You have to walk to the beach on the HHV side.

What an amazing stay. The views were the best and everything was close by. It was clean and it had everything we needed. I would love to come back again.

The location of the property is the only thing this place has going for it.
The room was dirty when we arrived, the air conditioner did not work the entire time of our 10 day vist. We had to purchase fans so we could sleep comfortably. The owner did have a repair man come and clean out the a/c unit, but this made no difference.
The room itself is very dated and was dirty when we arrived. There was dirt under the chairs and bed. The futon is lumpy and uncomfortable. The other single "bed" is broken and you can not sleep on it. We had to use an air mattress for our 2 kids. The shower is disgusting, mold is everywhere. The bathroom is always damp as there is no ventilation. The water pressure is awful and in the midst of a shower the water would sometimes slow down to a trickle. The shower head constantly drips.
The room has dirty base boards, wallpaper is peeling and the doors were all dirty or had pieces chipped away.
The listing states there is a smoke detector, but there isn't one in this unit.
The owner needs to put some money into this place as the pictures that are shown on the listing are misleading.
4.6
The room seemed bigger than the pictures which was a nice surprise. We brought our own shampoo but found the bathroom closet was filled with things people left behind. There were also body boards, kids snorkel, beach chairs, and a child booster seat (but not guaranteed). The Waikiki Pink trolley leaves in front of the hotel and you can get off at the stop right before the mall and walk across the street back to the Ilikai to save some time. You may run out of toilet paper and trash bags so you can pack that and have space for souvenirs. Trash room and laundry is on the same floor. We went outside on Friday to see the fireworks but you might be able to see it from the room? The outlet on the kitchen counter doesn’t work along with the one next to the reclining chair. One of the lamps had a bright white bulb but we swapped it with a soft white light to match the rest of the room. We also left some plain white towels and a pair of house slippers for future guests. The hotel downstairs will hold your bags on your first or last day for about $3 per bag to maximize your stay.

The place is great and the view is beautiful. The condo was clean, I would just recommend bleaching the shower as there is a little mold growing. I cleaned it for the next tenant. Or just bring shower shoes. The host communicates well and gave clear instructions. You’ll love the condo.

Everything was perfect! Trying to rebook for this year!!!

Overall we enjoyed stay but It was dark at night because there were no lights on the ceiling.

not smoke detector,”shower not very clean, also one the single sofa bed is not useful. We have adjusted it with one suitcase, but everything else was fine. Good location and beautiful views.
4.6
We felt right at home when we got here. Arvis was very easy to communicate with. There is a great view and we enjoyed the easy access to beach/lagoon. The pool was sooo warm, the warmest pool I have ever been in.

This property is in the Ilikai Hotel. The location is excellent. You have a nice view from the balcony. There is a table in the balcony and you can have a drink or snack there and the view to the lagoon and sea is nice. You can just step down from the hotel and you will be at the Duke Kahanamoku lagoon which is great for toddlers and kids. A few steps more and you are in the beach. There is parking available at the Marina, which is only $1 per hours. There is a ABC supermarket across the street. It is very close to the mall, Ala Moana center, you can walk easily in 10-15 minutes. The mall has very nice food stores. Across the street is the Hilton Village. The Ilikai hotel is very nice and clean, it has some places to eat in the first floor. The pools are heated, which is very nice for the kids.

We spent my birthday here and it was perfect! The hotel where the unit is located really close to waikiki beach and the lagoon. The place is really clean and cozy. View was great, and the kitchen was fully equipped, anything you need was there, he even have water bottle left in the fridge. Love how he also have beach chairs, umbrella, boards that you can use. The only thing is the parking is a little bit of a walk if you don’t do valet. I suggest dropping all your belongings/luggage in the front first and then park your car. Also, beach towels (only beach towels) needed to be washed if you use it, and since I hate doing laundry, we used our own beach towels. Other than that, it was an amazing experience, and the host was quick to respond to any questions or concerns. Will definitely stay here again when we come back!
4.6
Easy check in. We used Valley parking but it was pricey.
The room itself has everything you see in pictures and the wall facing the ocean literally slides open! Sitter the wallpaper is peeling in spots but who cares? You’re in Hawaii! Beach is maybe two minutes away. A Marina where you can depart on whale watching, fishing, para-sailing and scuba or snorkeling is 1.5 miles away. Hint: check Groupon for Honolulu but make sure the company you’re booking is on Oahu. I managed to book a whale watching trip from Maui but we stayed on Oahu. Go me.
The two negatives were the lack of garbage bags, which I think should be provided. Also, if you use the beach towels they ask you to wash them which I didn’t mind except there was no laundry soap provided. I brought micro fiber beach towels and we would have used them had I read the instruction sheet that comes with the unit before my family took them to the pool.
I will definitely return to the Ilikai and this particular unit.

Overall great location and beautiful view from balcony, only issue was it wasn't very clean alot dust just swept under the bed and there were stains on the sheets and wasn't enough paper towels and toilet paper for a 5 night stay so be prepared to have to go buy some. Overall love the ilikai resort but the room was just ok

Property was exactly as listed. Location was fantastic! Very clean. Very good stay overall.
4.6
The condo was nice and we had all we needed to enjoy our visit. We enjoyed having a kitchen and it helped us save money from going out for every meal. The location of the condo was excellent, it is showing it's age, but nothing major, other than a few burnt out light bulbs. Would be helpful to have a magnify mirror in the bathroom if possible.

I was scheduled to stay at this property 10/30-11/6 and I notified the owner 10/25 I would not be coming as my mother had fallen and was on life support. He message me back 10/27 2 days later after I messaged him a second time. When he replied he stated he could move me dates since I was unable to come. 10/30 I get check in instructions and I message him again that I am not coming and he had told me I can change days for later and at this time he says sorry no refunds and can’t come different time now that he was unable to rent the condo and it’s his loss. Yes I should have bought insurance it’s my fault for not preparing for a emergency. Also shows how some owners are greedy and not fare also. Definitely buy insurance when staying here.

This property is very nice located close to downtown and Waikiki beach. It was the perfect amount of space for us, and the kitchen was nice to have. Would definitely stay here again and will recommend to others.

Our family of four loved our stay here for 5 days. Everything was as advertised. The only comment I have is that the electrical outlets were wonky and some didn’t work. Lights over bed were unplugged and there were no outlets to plug into that we could reach.
