About this house rental
Up to 2 well behaved and completely housebroken dogs are welcome but must be included in your initial reservation. (A $100 fee will be charged if housekeeping reports a dog was in residence and your reservation did not include one.) Dogs must be on leash at all times outside of the home and cannot be left unattended for any length of time inside.

Upstairs the master bedroom is the ultimate sanctuary, with a king-sized bed, a balcony to take in the amazing view, and a spa-like master bath with a Jacuzzi tub and walk-in shower. The master also has a nook set up as a home office in case you need to get some work done. You can't beat the view!
The third floor is also home to a guest bedroom which features a queen-sized bed and bay window, plus a spacious bathroom with walk in shower.
Travel sized soap, shampoo and conditioner are provided for your convenience.
The washer and dryer, available for guest use, are located between the master and guest bedrooms.
On the bottom floor you will find a large bonus room equipped with a queen bed, full sized futon, leather club chair, a mini fridge, and Keurig coffee maker along with a flat screen Smart TV, and a Wii gaming system. There is a sliding glass door to the path to the beach.
The back patio has a fish/crab cleaning table complete with running water, and this is also where you can cook the day's catch on a propane crab cooker.
Please note that unless special arrangements are made prior to your stay, check-in time is 4pm and check-out time 11am. (Early arrivals and late departures are not available during the Summer months.)

I visit Rockaway every year, and this truly feels like home away from home. I can’t think of a better way to put it. It’s clean, well-stocked, and you can see the thoughtfulness in every detail.

This is a nice property and nice area. The stairs were a bit much to handle unless you are young. It seemed like there were a lot of rules to follow and clean up to do. Most were things a person might automatically do but some seemed like they should have been included in all the cleaning fees, etc.

There are some pros and cons depending on what you are needing in a place to stay. The positives outweigh the negatives and we enjoyed our stay. The house had everything we needed for cooking big meals and hanging out, well stocked with blankets, towels, movies, books, board games and TV options. The house is well decorated with lots of amenities. There was 6 of us and the only real complaint was the downstairs room was extremely cold and a little isolated from the rest of the house (we called and they brought us a heater the next day) the parking is very tight, it worked for us but some large vehicles would not fit there, The last was the other buildings around it were super close, not a big deal to us but could see how it would bother others. We would stay again it really is a good value and the walk to the beach is only a couple minutes.

Mermaid’s cove was warm, welcoming, and beautiful. Very accommodating common areas, but then everyone could go and enjoy their own space as well. Nice views, and great location! Oh, and we really appreciated the nicely stocked spice cabinet :)

We had a great Thanksgiving at this house. We love the closeness to the beach and ocean views. The house had enough sleeping arrangements for our family of 6 plus our 2 dogs and enough seating room for 8 for thanksgiving dinner. Love staying here this is our 2nd time in 2 years. It’s always clean and the property owner has always been available if we need something. Would highly recommend!!

The property was not up to my standards on being clean. Sand thru the house, very dusty, garbage in laundry room, towels in dryer, dishwasher full. There are 5hrs in between checking out and new clients checking in. I was told that there were several people in the house and the housekeeper couldn't get to everything. Even though, I see housekeeping has been LACK there of in the past yr. Tub stopper does not work, cold water faucet does not work. Could not use tub and this was the main reason to rent the house. Shower head head broken from hose. So 3 of us were working out of the other bathroom. I asked for some type of refund, as put yourself in my shoes when you see great pictures of the house and then it not being up to par. Good gesture that I did get my cleaning deposit back. I think I should have gotten more, when things did not work. I feel I would not of rec'd it, if I had not said anything. Home owner stated she didn't know about the things not working. Then maybe she needs to talk and ask ? to the housekeeper. As a Client, I should not of had to go thru this. You are in a TOWN HOUSE, so beware, you go up 15 stairs to main floor, then another 15 stairs to bedrooms. From where the house is located, you can barely see the ocean, unless you are on the left side of the deck. Parking is not ideal, so be very careful pulling in to driveway, as it's so tight.

Best vacation house on the Oregon Coast
We absolutely LOVED this house! ❤️ It was amazing...right when we walked in, we fell in love! It made our Birthday weekend that much more special. It was well stocked, the kitchen had everything you could think of. It is close to the beach, about a one minute walk. Plus, Pronto pup on the corner walking to the beach. The house had chairs and a wagon to help wheel all your belongings to the beach. Which was a life saver! We had a dog and it was so easy to walk on to either of the potty spots outside. The tv and movies, games, puzzles... made the stay that much more enjoyable! View was amazing too! There is so much more I could say about the properly. Beds, tons of cozy blankets, towels... we were able to wash our clothes and towels quickly and conveniently because it was next to the bedrooms. The owners really take pride in their home. It shows they really care about the people renting and want their experience to be pleasant. Can't wait to go back!! 🥰

Great location
We enjoyed our stay. Kitchen was fully stocked to be able to cook. Access to the beach is very easy. Overall pretty clean. But there were a few things that were confusing from the listing….
1. Because the heat is turned so low from when the people before you leave it’s quite cold in the house and takes a few hours to be comfortable.
2. There are two flights of stairs. We didn’t have problems with this but we didn’t realize from the description. As soon as you walk in one flight to living room and kitchen. Then to access two main bedrooms another flight of stairs.
3. The entryway has no heat. When you walk down from the main level to the door outside/entryway there is absolutely no heat. You get about halfway down the stairs and it’s freezing.
4. The 3rd bedroom is accessed through the garage. From the entryway of the townhome go into the garage and walk to the back where there is a door to that bedroom. Again, freezing to get there but the room heats up nicely. I didn’t realize the location and this is the bedroom we were using for our two boys (4 and 6 years old).
5. Parking is quite tight. Being able to access garage is nice. But the driveway goes over a stream so railings and big concrete on edges for safety which makes it tight.
Overall it was comfortable just a couple of details that we didn’t get from the listing description that might help others when booking. Keep in mind we stayed in December.

Wonderful stay
This townhouse is beautiful with wonderful decor and furnishings. It is all very spacious, comfy and relaxing. It worked great for a 22 month old too with the baby gate to keep the stairway safe. We loved having beach chairs to use and a wagon to haul our gear to the beach each day. The jetted tub is a nice bonus for those who love baths. The games, puzzles and DVDs made for fun evenings and cool mornings. Highly recommend this property.

Great location
Definitely will stay again next year love the view from the master bedroom, it is dog friendly and we don’t go anywhere with out our dog but needs to improve cleanliness lots of dust and dog hair also garbage containers are too small they where completely full when we got there and smells terribly we had to accumulate our bags in garage . Terry was very cooperative and help in every way, overall we are coming back next year :)

Very nice home decor is exceptional
Great townhouse, the decor is amazing and the house is well stocked. Only issue may be if you have a large vehicle it may not fit in the driveway. Would stay here again!

Roomy and comfortable
Wonderful large living, dinning and kitchen area located on the second level with some views of the ocean. Was nice to find a baby gate for the stairs. Couple of listing issues, no bbq and fireplace was electric, not wood burning as listed. Owner addressed listing problem promptly. Master bedroom has the best views and very comfortable. Kids loved the jacuzzi tub after a cold rainy trip to the beach. Not a true “gourmet kitchen” but it worked, cooktop is a older JennAir electric with only 2 burners on one side and electric grill on the other. . Will definitely stay again!

Nice and clean
The house was nice and clean. It’s next to 101, so traffic noise was a little loud. But it was easy to walk into Rockaway and look at shops. Fairly easy access to the beach as well.

Beautiful home
Overall this was a great home to stay in. It was very clean, and quick walk to the beach. My only downfall would be the large roof blocking the view of the ocean from the main floor.

An awesome beach getaway!
My family and I had a great time at this property! The house is large but feels quite cozy at the same time. The beach views are great. The house is equipped with everything you could need, from kitchenware to games & movies. The beach is just across the street, and we were lucky enough to have a couple sunny winter days during our stay. The host provided plenty of information before we arrived, so finding the place and check-in were no problem at all. We would definitely come back!

Affordable Fancy Getaway
We booked this last minute with few options as our original plans feel through and we still needed to escape the world. My husband, sister, and I have never been to Rockaway Beach and it was a delight!
The condo was well stocked and furnished - and the decor was absolutely fantastic. It was fancy, but comfortable and felt like a home right away.
I am a germaphobe which makes hotel and rental stays really stressful for me so I wipe down all the surfaces and knobs and either cover or spray down furniture on my own. This place did feel pretty clean before that though - no complaints!
The master bed was comfortable to me and the entire master suite was really lovely! Spacious and fresh feeling.
The amount of movies this place has for guests is INSANE! The movie library, books, games, and doggie toys were impressive and a nice touch.
The Kitchen was stocked with spices and condiments and plenty of cookware.
We had a small, bizarre electrical issue on our last night and the internet, living room, and fireplace all got wiped out. The owner was so prompt in replying and calling to try and troubleshoot from a distance. No ideas on their part or ours could fix it. I don't blame them at all or think it was a reflection of the unit in general. We just moved out board gaming to the nice dining table and finished our night. Not a big deal for us!
All in all, we would return to this rental again in the future. The only downside (which you know before you book) is that your not right on the beach and the view isn't 100% but the price reflects that (bonus if you're on a budget) and if you can walk a block and cross a road - you will be on the beach!

Large, roomy, nicely furnished. We were all VERY impressed with how well-stocked the kitchen was with cooking utensils, spices, dishes, condiments, etc. (the pantry was a nice surprise!). Plenty of bath towels and extra blankets for beds or for snuggling, too. None of us heard a peep from the townhouse next door, so soundproofing must be a part of the quality build. Very nice view of the beach & surf from 2nd and 3rd floors. Short, pleasant walk to beach using a designated crosswalk on Highway 101. The 3rd floor has 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms (great showers!) with a newer washer & dryer between them. We all used the jetted tub a lot & no one ever ran out of hot water. At the back of the single car garage is a bonus room that we used as a bedroom. It has a quality sliding glass door to a small fenced outdoor area. This bonus room also has a mini-fridge, bed, fold-out leather couch, Wii, but just FYI, the closest bathroom is up a flight of stairs to the 1/2 bath on the main floor. The main floor has a beautiful electric fireplace and a large number of books, games, videos. The dining room is roomy (I've have used the word roomy a lot in this review!) and shares 9 sturdy wood chairs with the eat-at kitchen counter. The kitchen has lots of space for meal prep and the large bay window behind the sink looks toward a tree covered hillside. I am picky and honest, but have no complaints whatsoever. Well done to the owner & manager, & housekeeper. We hope to be back!

Great place to getaway!
This place has everything you could possibly need to getaway to the coast! It is directly across the street from the beach so you do get the sound and breeze from the ocean. It’s located in town and just off the highway which was a downside as the traffic could be quite load, especially at night. But having said that, when it’s quiet, it’s lovely! Access and check in was super easy and the owners were available to answer and questions via email. They were super prompt! There were a few things we encountered: the breaker blew when we turned on the fireplace in the master bedroom. The owners were really helpful in brainstorming to figure out why this was occurring and as it turned out, one of the switches outside was not in the off position. The other thing we encountered was it wasn’t quite as clean as we had expected. There was dried batter caked on the kitchenaid mixer and the carpet could have used a good steam clean. (It was not a deal breaker for us - I just cleaned it and used it. )
The place was otherwise fine. We would definitely go back as the location did provide a home away from home. The beach was relatively empty so it was really nice!
