Very private and scenic cabin on the famous Chippewa Flowage. Great place for grandma, grandpa, the kids, and the grandkids. Enjoy the sand beach or sit and enjoy yard games by the fire pit. Listen to the loons all day long on this famous wilderness lake!
The cabin has a large open area for the kitchen, dining, and living room. It has 2 full baths and a laundry room. It has 4 bedrooms and a loft – there are 8 queen beds and 2 twin beds! It’s a great place for the family all to stay and be together in this private setting. There are 2 docks, a raft, and a slide for the kids all at the beach! Enjoy catching fish right from the dock. Take the boat or pontoon to one of the islands or sandbars on this pristine lake! There are lots of choices for dining or drinks at one of the many resorts on the lake. The fishing is fantastic year round! Snowmobilers, the trail is just in front of the cabin! The cabin is minutes from Hayward and the many events! All the amenities included – towels, pots & pans, refrigerator, freezer, gas grill, lawn chairs, and picnic table. The cabin is still fairly new. This is truly a family or multi-family retreat! Pontoon, kayaks, canoe, and small aluminum boats are available for rent.

The cabin was great and perfect for a large group. The only thing unusual was the owner insisted on meeting us and called/texted several times before we stayed. I think he was just trying to be helpful but I've never had this happen before and I have rented many cabins. We were gone from the cabin most of the time, but could tell the owner came while we were gone which was a little creepy. Other than that, the cabin itself is excellent!

Gary's place is awesome...and he is too. He has everything you would need and plenty of beds. Nice beach ta boot. And its not too far from the banana islands for some fun at the sandbars

First of all the day we arrived it snowed 6". No one ever came to plow the drive way or shovel the side walks. Second he has the thermostat set at 67 degrees that is wi-fi controlled so if you even turn it up a couple of degrees he turns it back down to 67. It was a cold weekend (negative 24) and all our guests were cold. I am not sure why someone would want their guests to be cold the entire time they stay at their property. We were out riding all day and it would have been nice to come back to a nice warm cabin. Third it states on the rule sheet that you have to wash, dry, and fold all the towels that you use. However, there is no laundry soap provided. No one ever told us that we had to do this prior to arriving. They did inform us that they had the towels but not that it was our responsibility to do the laundry. We were lucky that one of the couples we stayed with had brought some detergent so we could wash the laundry. It would have been nice to know about the temperature and the laundry ahead of time so we could have made a better decision on not booking this cabin!

Pictures do not do justice to how stunning and comfortable this property is. Nestled amongst tall red pines the drive in to the property sets the tone to how private the cabin sits with great views to the lake. This property has a lot of beds to accommodate large groups and is equipped with more than everything you need to cook in the kitchen or on the deck. Highly recommend this place.

We spent a week here for a family trip, ranging from age 2-76. The cabin was very private and the lake was great for plenty of swimming and fishing. The house has 2 bedrooms and a bathroom on the main floor and the rest of the sleeping quarters are in the basement which worked great to have a quieter sleeping space. Cabin was well stocked and Gary was an excellent host.

We all had a great time at this cabin. There was plenty of space, lots to do for the grandkids and it was great to spend time together outside. We fished, swam, made s'mores by the fire. Our host went out of his way to make sure that everyone had fun. Can't wait to come back.

Simple easy process, the cabin was week stocked with most everything you need. Excellent pots and pans, a good selection of spices, the Crock-Pots were a definite plus. The docks were great for our boats, and a few of us spent time fishing from them as well and did catch fish, walleye and crappie right off it.

Our party of 10 stayed here for Labor Day weekend. Awesome spot, we enjoyed exploring the Chippewa Flowage (check out the map hanging by the stairs to find which islands to explore), making bonfires and hanging out. Cabin easily sleeps 16+ as advertised, and the taxidermy is pretty cool. We will come back!

Fishing was horrible but cabin made the week a great trip still
