Great house, very responsive management.

Nice place for family get together. Close to Hayward to do some shopping and visiting the ICE CREAM SHOP! Over all had nice time.

We loved the location and the beautiful cabin. Our only complaint was that it is listed for 12 guests. 2 of the guests had to sleep on the pull-out couch. Typically we would have expected 12 regular beds for 12 guests, not 10 plus a pull-out couch. One place on the listing it showed 2 full beds in one of the rooms and in another place on the listing it showed those 2 beds as twin beds. If there had been 2 full beds we would have enjoyed the stay more. Besides the sleeping conditions, I would have given this a 5 star review.

Beautiful house and location on an amazing lake. House seemed “used”. Broken leather chair, kitchen sink faucet ready to fall off, screen porch that was hard to see out of because of dirty screens, etc.

Beautiful location with a spacious and functional house that worked well for 8 adults, one baby and two dogs. We especially enjoyed being able to gather for dinner at the big dining room table in the evenings. Fishing off the dock was great!

The house was very nice. We loved the beach area. It's a wonderful lake location.

This is a great location with an awesome cabin to host a group at. We loved the ping pong table and the views of the lake from the massive windows. We will be booking again.

If you like rustic A frame wooden cabins and a wonderful lake view, this is your place! The huge windows and view from the master bedroom is spectacular. We saw a bald eagle flying over the lake multiple times and a group of ten loons. Easy drive into town too for a bite to eat and some shopping.

A beautiful view anytime of day! Great size for our group of 8 adults. Overall, we had a nice stay. However I think just based on the nightly cost, we would probably not book again— General consensus among our group was that the property’s pricing does not match its value. This is one of the most expensive vacation rentals most of us had ever stayed in, but the amenities are just not really up to par. Yes, we were informed ahead of time there were not going to be towels of any kind, but still was such a pain when flying from another state. The house had ladybugs everywhere inside. While harmless, we were constantly trying to keep them out of food, showers etc. It seems like the house is in need of some deep cleaning and attention to furnishings and some upgraded kitchen supplies. There had clearly been a dog there before us. The house has two gas fireplaces that are such a lovely visual focal point but the flames are so tiny when you turn them on that we stopped using them because you really can’t even see (or feel) that they are on. Overall our stay was fine, and if we had paid a lot less I think we’d probably be more ok with the value.

My wife and I rented this property to relax and invite our son's family and daughter-in-laws parents to celebrate our granddaughter's 6th birthday. This property was central to all. Such a great lakeside "cabin", beautiful location and convenient for supplies. Very comfortable and higher quality accommodations while retaining the feel of a lakeside cabin. Well done!

Beautiful views. Fishing was great. Loved having the pontoon and could cross the lake to lunch/supper.

My family of 10 and myself had a wonderful time at Lake LCO "Lac Courte Oreilles"! We ranged in ages from 17 to 76 and everyone had plenty of room and no one wanted to leave TBH! The home is an eye catcher from the water and very close to everything needed for a wonderful vacation. The lake is crystal clear and full of a variety of fish. We saw a couple black bear and other wild life right in the area. The food in the area was fantastic and the locals are very friendly. Consider this place for sure for an excellent long weekend vacation or more. We took our wake surf boat and loved it. There are some shallow spots on the lake but there are plenty of nice calm areas that are perfect for your water sports.
Thanks for having us!

The property was nice, however it did not live up to our expectations related to:
1. The cleanliness (the downstairs smelled like stale dog and the dust was so thick in places you would write your name and the kitchen floor had cheese and jelly).
2. The "private beach" (as advertised) was not private at all. We understood sharing it with the other two cabins, however one of the families had 3 dogs and had them off leash most of the time they were at the beach. One dog even got in our cabin.
3. The "private beach" was shared by the family staying in the Whispering Pines cabin which was to our right as we faced the lake. There was more than one occasion when they were fully occupying our beach chairs and dock (I do have pictures) keeping us from using it. It was awkward and we did not feel like we should have to have conflict with the neighbors so we didn't. They told us that they were told by the management company that they could use our beach. Very disappointing.
You would think that for the price we paid for this cabin, there would be other common amenities like Bathroom towels, kitchen towels and firewood. These seem like basics for a cabin and we didn't even realize this was not included (as well as the beach being shared) until we received the welcome package a couple of days before arrival. Very disappointing.
I am giving the score of 3 because the pontoon was very nice, clean and our family was able to enjoy lots of pontoon time (but not beach time).

Upon arriving it is a little tough to figure out where the big cabin actually was. The road directions aren’t overly clear so just make sure to keep going down the drive despite it feeling like you are going to someone’s cabin driveway. The cabin was awesome and clean with fun things for the kids to do. My only negative of the place was we had the biggest cabin of the 3 on their property but had the worst dock setup. We brought our pontoon and large fishing boat with us. The owners left their non rented pontoon on the dock we were given so had to park all of our boats in the sand. The end of the dock and chair were not overly safe to use either so we pushed out each day. Windy days from the north and west made it a little challenging for us but all in all it was a nice stay.

My family and I had a great time at the cabin! Everything was as advertised online. We enjoyed the spacious house for our big group. We found the fully equipped kitchen partially helpful as we cooked almost all meals at home. There were a few items that needed attention- no gas tank for grill, dirty beach, clogged drain in bathroom, but the property manager was extremely attentive and took care of each right away. Thanks for having us!

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin. Plenty of space for 2 families. Cabin and property were well maintained and clean. Loved watching the sunset from the chairs at the beach. Only suggestion would be to add chairs/seating on the deck and in the screened in porch.

This was our first family trip with extended family as well. Everyone felt comfortable right away, waking up and enjoying breakfast together on the big dinning room table with a beautiful view make it extra special. Definitely will recommend family and friends about this cabin!

Lovely well-maintained home. We went with four other adults and we all had a wonderful time. Snowshoed right on the lake out front, enjoyed watching the eagles reinforce their nest. If we had one suggestion, it would be a bit more light on the main level. With it getting dark early, the main floor could feel a bit dark, at times. Woulld recommend to others!

We like that this property has easy access to the snowmobile trails, the view is great, and it's just a short ride to town. We have been coming to this property for a couple years now and are looking forward to next years trip.

Parking was a little tight for trailers. To keep the whole house at a comfortable temperature we needed to have the furnace fan on all the time. The fireplace didn't seem to give off much heat.

Really nice place to stay with a great cabin feel.

We really enjoyed the home and it's big open yard which was great for our Grandkids. The homes openness was also very nice for our family of eight to sit around and enjoy each other. It was a bit chilly a couple nights, we would have liked to sit around the Upper fireplace, but it wasn't working.
Overall very nice place

We had a wonderful time! The home is beautiful and spacious. We could all spread out. The weather was a bit rainy and chilly but the kids still played in the water. We managed a couple of short fires between rains. If you have little ones in your group bring toys, there are some games for older ones. All in all it is a beautiful secluded get a way!

Great house with a Gorgeous view. Plenty of room for everyone. Ping pong table was a plus. We all had a wonderful time.

We had a great week-long vacation at this cabin. Our group of three families included 6 adults and 5 kids. The cabin was clean and the views out to the lake were amazing. We had a great time playing on the beach, taking out the pontoon, fishing, playing ping pong, and cooking dinners.
The owner answered all of our questions and concerns leading up to our trip in a timely manner. The location and spacious living quarters are tough to beat. We would highly recommend staying here.

Our family spent a wonderful and relaxing week at this beautiful property. We grilled, we fished, we played bocce on the huge lawn and crowned a family ping pong champ. The property was very clean, kitchen was well equipped, and the couches both upstairs and downstairs were very comfortable for movie nights. We enjoyed exploring the local restaurants and visiting the Freshwater Fishing Museum in downtown Hayward. One minor maintenance issue was dealt with quickly. We'd definitely return!

Fun times at LCO!
Overall, we had a great time! The cabin was beautiful and weather was hot! We rented a pontoon and caught walleye, bass and northern. Off the dock we caught tons of pan fish and a large small mouth bass too.
Be careful, there is a little walk with stairs from the parking which was difficult for the older adults in our party. The large windows are great for the view but make the upper level not useable in the afternoon hours due to indoor temperature climbing. We appreciate the owner and management company trying to address the issue temporarily to make sleeping more pleasant. Ultimately it likely needs a permanent solution like blinds for the afternoon.
Great memories and a great stay! Thanks to all!

Beautiful home but needs maintenance
The home was beautiful and the views were amazing. The beds were also very comfortable. The home needs maintenance and updating. The Air conditioner could not keep up with the summer heat, the fridge leaked all week and the stove was horrible. The deck needs to be refinished. I think we all got splinters. I was disappointed that the beach had not been cleaned at all this summer and it was full of dead fish and debris. Also the dock was hard to access because the owner’s pontoon and boat lift were taking up most of the dock space (the boat didn’t fit on the lift). The property manager tried to address my concerns about the beach but ultimately fell short. This has potential to be an amazing rental…it would probably be much better in the winter.

Spectacular view
We loved our long weekend at this cabin. The view is really beautiful and the cabin had the perfect layout for our family group. Every bit of the cabin was perfectly cleaned. The cabin was easy to get to, close to Hayward/restaurants, but was nicely wooded and felt private. The owner answered my questions right away prior to the trip. A cozy winter retreat!
