Cant say enough about the views from this property and the feeling as though you have the bay all to yourself! Kitchen was perfect and there was plenty of room for the 8 of us (4 adults and 4 teens) to eat and cook and hang out and play games and just be together! We took the opportunity to spend a day in Kilmarnock (VERY close) with great shops and great grocery store (Tri-Star for the win) and you've GOT to try Small Town Burger for the best smashburger in the Northern Neck...and this is coming from a guy who loved NNK Burger before they burned down! While it in no way detracts from the place at all...the mosquitos and horseflies there are no joke, be prepared to go to battle with them!

The house, location, and amenities were excellent! We wanted a relaxing spot for our family to have time together and this place was perfect. The canoe, kayak, and other accessories were greatly appreciated, thank you!

We had three generations… grandparents , two grown kids and their spouses, and kids ranging from 10 months to 12 years. The location can’t be beat. The water is calm, private sandy beach, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, spacious kitchen, gas BBQ. We all loved it!

This was my family's 3rd time staying at Diane's beach house. The weather was beautiful our entire stay and the water perfect for swimming! We all had a great time and would book again in the future!

We have rented this house for the last 5 years. Cleanliness has always been a little patchy but this year the house had not been cleaned at all when we arrived, the laundry was done but bathrooms, kitchen and all floors were obviously not touched. It was not pleasant to walk into a vacation house and find other people’s waste. However, I want to say - I contacted Dianne and she responded quickly, apologized and refunded our cleaning fee. I know it’s difficult for owners to know what the cleaning company is actually doing, they can’t be there every week to check on things. This is a great house in a beautiful, private location. We love going there with our family - it’s perfect for our young grandsons. Once issues with cleaning company are ironed out it will be a 5 star property for sure.

The location and the size of this house are amazing! It fit all 12 of us easily. We were able to see the water from every window and the walk out to the beach was so simple! I could even hear the kids playing in the water from my room! There are some tree stumps sticking up on the beach, so walk with caution! The water was perfect for all our young swimmers and our big fishermen! The flies were biting when we got there and Diane was so kind to quickly send us some fly bags! She was extremely helpful and responsive to all our needs!
Only suggestion would be an update of some of the kitchen stuff - pans, spoons and cereal bowls for the kids. But so minor while you are enjoying this beautiful place! My dad even asked when we are coming back!

This was the perfect spot for our family. We loved the views and the water was calm for the kids! PERFECT weekend together!

We had the best time again this year bringing together three generations of family for a lovely LDW! The house and accommodations are perfect.
4.7
We enjoyed the views looking across the bay, spacious and well-equipped kitchen, shallow water out to breakwater and upstairs play area. Saw bald eagles, great blue herons, deer, raccoon and rabbits. Sunrises are awesome. Bedrooms very comfortable. Our adult children and the grandchildren enjoyed the paddleboard and kayak. I, grandpa, was happy to sit on the porch, watch the other generations having a great time together, and enjoy my glass of wine.
Recommend an early morning trip to Chesapeake Doughnut Company in White Stone for a selection of fresh baked doughnuts for your crew to enjoy.
We took turns preparing and serving meals and everyone loved the kitchen and dining areas.

This property is perfect for families with young children. It allows everyone to relax! Beach is perfect for young kids to enjoy safely and parents to breathe and relax! Water is calm and shallow enough to enjoy without worry! My four year old grandson said it was like having a huge pool! Diane was a great hostess and communicator! Only negative is cleaning staff…had to fold all the towels from previous renters, but honestly I tell you this so the property owners are aware…did not affect our wonderful time! This is a true gem of a place!

We had a wonderful stay! The location of the property is private and there is plenty to do for everyone of all ages. The fishing and crabbing kept everyone entertained. Highly recommended for unplugging and having time together!

The house was beautiful and the location was perfect.
The house definitely needs a deep cleaning and the cleaning service that the owner uses needs to be stepped up for the cleaning time between tenants. There were a couple of complaints and the owner did refund a small amount of the rental fee.
4.7
The house was comfortable and the beach was private. The shallow beach was perfect for relaxing and cooling off.
4.7
Lovely area with lots to do and steps away from your very own beach. We enjoyed how shallow the water was before it reaches the jetty, which made us more comfortable with the children playing for extended periods. We appreciated the variety of outdoor equipment for us to enjoy in the water. The house is gorgeous and spacious. Unfortunately we did have some issues during our stay with the cleaning upon arrival, unannounced construction/yard work every morning resulting in us not being able to come or go at certain times or being woken up early, and the AC not working for 1.5 days. We understand these things can happen during home rentals and didn't plan to bring up the issues until the AC stopped working. Diane was very responsive once I did reach out and she provided us a very fair refund. Overall, I think we would consider staying here again.

The setting is beautiful. We all loved seeing the dolphins and other creatures of the bay during our romps on the private beach. The house has lots of space for large gatherings and the back porch was a favorite with our group. The only downside was water dripping from the ceiling over the bed- this was not fun for the couple assigned to this bedroom. Hopefully, the repair was made so the next family will not have to deal with the annoyance.
4.7
Had a wonderful time fishing, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, sitting on the porch watching the dolphins swim by. Two items I would recommend updated TVs as we could only watch the same things upstairs as the down stairs tv had on, also we had some issues with the internet.. we had some storms and buggy nights which forced us inside. Overall would definitely visit again.
4.7
We thoroughly enjoyed our week, from relaxing on the porch watching the Dolphins, other wildlife and the ships go by to swimming, canoeing, and sitting on the beach. House was beautiful and comfortable and nearby towns nice to visit. Only problem was the week went by too fast.
4.7
We keep coming back! Great location. Nothing fancy but good size for 6 adults and 3 small children. Lovely stretch of beach. To be honest cleaning staff could be better but overall we love it here.

We love our time in this home!

Perfect place for a family getaway.
4.7
Perfect weekend getaway for our family! The views were spectacular and the water was lovely. With young kids, I especially loved how shallow the water was all the way out to the rock barriers. We even saw 2 pods of dolphins our last morning there. Highly recommend this house!

We absolutely loved staying here for my daughters first birthday. The house was perfectly set up for my husband and I, our 3 and 1 year old and my parents. Everyone was so comfortable. For my daughters birthday we had several family members that live in the area over to celebrate and everyone was amazed by the location. The yard walks right out to the beach and the water is shallow for days!!! The kiddos had so much fun splashing around and the parents could actually relax a little.
We had some internet issues when we first checked in and the owner was super responsive and helpful. And it ended up working fine. Cell service is pretty nonexistent tho, but worth it for the beautiful location.
Gorgeous sunrises out the back windows every morning if you have a 3 yo that insists on waking up at 6am on vacation.
Great water & beach toys too for grown ups and littles!
We hope to make this a yearly trip!!

This property was perfect for our family including , adults and young grandchildren. The water was warm and shallow and the grandchildren had a great time. The adults used the canoe and kyack and paddle board. We could all eat together at the large table and enjoyed the privacy of our own beach. Very relaxing and enjoyable.
4.7
Super location, great space to come together as well as have down time. Got to watch a pod of dolphins from the porch.
4.7
The location of this property is awesome. Right on the water - very private. We really enjoyed our visit. Bugs were the only downside of the trip so be sure to bring spray.
4.7
It was good except there were so many biting flies outside and no toilet papers and trash bags provided. Overall, was a great stay.

If you’re looking for a very private and easy enjoyable time to Chesapeake this is the place for you

Memories with a killer view!!
We spent a memorable week just an hour and a half from Richmond! The Chesapeake bay was breathtaking and it felt like a ocean view!
We prepared and ate all meals in (that doesn't sound like a vacation but we love to cook)
The kids loved the sandy beach and calm waters for kayaking.
Shopping one afternoon in Kilmarnock was a success!
There is also a complex called The Compass about 20 min away with mimi golf, rock wall, games, and much more!!
If you are a TV internet fan beware only TV in living areas (two) and spotty phone service. Its a perfect place to unplug!!!
Lots of steps up to the home no problem for us but my elderly mother struggled a little.
For all your sweet people beware the Mosquitoes will carry you away!!!
Run don't walk to this amazing vacation home!!!!!

Perfect location
We had just a great and relaxing time! This home is beautiful as well as the property. It was everything we were looking for for our family to just be able to relax and have peace. We will definitely be back.

3rd time and still a charm
It was our third stay at this property and we always enjoy it thoroughly. It’s a great location and the size and layout of the house is perfect for us. It’s a nice roomy house with lots of windows that look out onto the bay, and a very private beach area. Perfect for small children. Those are the things that are important to us and keep us coming back,

Location location location
The views from the back porch/living room/dinning room are absolutely fantastic. The size was exactly what we needed to be able to relax with our large family. With that being said, we did have some issues with cleanliness, bugs, internet/cable, quality of cookware and some other things but the host was very friendly and receptive to our concerns and quick to resolve them. Bottom line the house was very very nice and overall we enjoyed our stay but it is not a luxury home.

This home is perfectly situated to take advantage of amazing views of the Chesapeake -- right on the water with a beach and large porch for viewing all the boats in the Chesapeake! The three large bedrooms and baths were perfect for our group of three couples -- and there was still another bedroom for kids equipped with two sets of bunk beds. A very large kitchen and separate 10-person dining table and two Family rooms (one on each floor) completed this amazing space. There were some ants and the Family rooms and dining room were not as clean as we expected -- we brought this to the attention of Diane and she was very responsive.
Overall a nice place -- and a 10 min drive from the stores and a few restaurants in White Stone -- including the Chesapeake Donut Company (well worth the stop!!). We ate at Willoughby's on the Rapahannock (about 30 min away) for terrific ribs and a great sunset.

Lots of space to spread out
We enjoyed our stay here at Windmill Point over the holiday weekend. The kitchen was well-stocked. Our large family had plenty of space to spread out. The sunrises were phenomenal.

We rented the property for three nights and the house was nice. The house looked clean but there was an issue that we had to deal with that was addressed with the property manager the day we left and we received a reply that left us a little disappointed at the lack of concern on her part. However, she always replied to any questions that we had so that is appreciated. Hopefully the issue gets addressed before the next renters arrive. There were times that the TV had no reception but it was an unusually windy few days, so that was taken into consideration. All in all, the house was fine and at a great location.

Beautiful location, needs some upgrades
We had a wonderful weekend away at this house -- plenty of space, and a beautiful location! Unfortunately, when we arrived, the cleaners had not come through and never showed up the next day like promised. But, the owner was incredibly communicative and gave us a refund for a night and the cleaning fee. It was an unfortunate start to the weekend, but nothing to keep us from returning. However, I wouldn't bill this house as a luxury rental -- many of the bedrooms needed fresh paint, the bed linens, and the pillows and towels should all be replaced. But, it was a great location, and great to enjoy time with our kids and not be worried about anything they could break/destroy. As long as you aren't expecting a luxury set up, you'll enjoy it!
