Very comfortable hotel with staff who were always friendly and happy to help. Well located to get a bus in to Lucerne and on from there if needed
Price is a bit steep but think that is normal in Switzerland.

We stayed at Hotel Balm for 4 nights with our two kids. We loved the breakfast and walking area around the hotel with the small zoo. The bus stop is literally in front of the reception, and we could use the transportation for free. Great place to stay when visiting Luzerne.

Breakfast was great, although comparing to first hotel we stayed at in Switzerland, it was more expensive, and we received less. Also, no alternative diary options. Otherwise, it was lovely.
Dinners are quite expensive, if you would like fine dining, perfect option, however, as a family of 6 who travelled for 5 weeks beforehand, we would have liked a more affodable option. However, with guest card included in stay, ypu can easliy travel to Lucerne , and have dinner there, which we have done the second night.

The view from the room was great, could see the mountains across the lake. The on-site restaurant was AMAZING. The BEST food I have ever had, and compared to Swiss prices, very reasonably priced. Pool on site, and bus stop out the front which was free with the included Lucerne travel card. Also free parking out the front is great if you have a car. Fuel stations across the road too. The restaurant though… if you can book in to the restaurant for the fixed price menu or “Half Card?” I think they called it? 59 CHF for a 3 course + apertif of absolute quality food, you simply cannot beat
Unfortunately it didn’t have air conditioning and we were there during one of Europe’s hottest heatwaves on record. They did have a small fan though, which we moved towards the beds and did the job

The views from the outdoor dining area are amazing! While the property is a little away from central Lucerne, it has a direct bus service to the city centre!
We had some issues with language - especially during breakfast. But that’s understandable…

Self service coffee should be added at the breakfast buffet

The manager of the hotel was extremely helpful, kind, and just made our stay perfect in every way. The small animal zoo was an added treat for the kids. The bus pickup to Luzern right across the street was another added bonus.

The breakfast was great, a real pleasure.

Our overall experience with the property was very pleasant. Location was very good as the bus stop was right next to it. The property was really clean and hygenic. It had beautiful and huge lawn which had pet animals.
Breakfast was decent although it could have more variety which would serve foreigners as well.
We were charged 6 CHFs for drinking water which was unexpected and disappointing.
We were expecting better room service with the price we paid.

Friendly staff and very clean room.
Enough breakfast options, like bircher muesli. That was great and tasty. There s also bread, eggs and fruit. Beds were comfortable. Very clean room.
No waterboiler in the room.

The room was very spacious, bed was a comfy medium feel, and the room had a lovely outlook of the mountains/lake. We really enjoyed our stay as it was comfortable and warm. Service was friendly and they even brought our luggage to our room for us so it was ready for when we got back after our first day of exploring. Breakfast had a range of food that included breads, fruits, meats, cheese, cereals, bircher muslie, and freshly made eggs and coffee each morning. The bus stop is literally across the road and bus #24 takes you straight into Lucerne.
One minor improvement would be to provide a toaster for guests to use during breakfast service. I’m sure the staff would have one out the back and probably would have toasted bread for us had we asked. And extra pillow options in the room would be nice.

The staff was super nice. The breakfast exceptional. We got Luzern visitor card, with which the public transport was free to use. There is great view from the balcony.

The room was super nice, spacious, clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, food was very good. The city center of Lucern is easily accessible by bus (~15min). We really liked the location of the hotel, the area is very calm, one can go for a walk in nature and enjoy nice views.
Stuff is very professional, but please give your guests a smile and warm welcome sometimes.

It was our honeymoon week in Switzerland. Great service, great breakfasts and... great pillows 😀😀😀. We walked a lot in magical Lucerne and the surrounding area and had a wonderful stay in our room. Many thanks to the kind staff.
