Great location staff was very helpful. Facilities were very good. Hard to control room temperature usually to hot.
Narrow entrance to room and bathroom door were to close together. View from window was roof tops kind of gloomy.

Incredibly friendly staff, location is just perfect, situated three minutes away from the train station, and bed was very comfortable!
Some degree of noise may carry through the wall

room - small and cramped, but wonderful view, including of Edinburgh Castle; and loved the outdoor balcony.
location - fantastic. Easy walk to Old Town, Edinburgh Castle, Waverly Train Station & Bus Station
Wifi my only complaint. Non-existent, yet was advertised with the package. Very frustrating, and staff not overly helpful with this. Felt 'fobbed' off.

We were upgraded to a king room with castle view and loved it
Noice during the night with delivery to the m and s store
On arrival the hotel had changed its name 2 days before and we weren’t advised so we walked around the block with out luggage to find it

How close it was to shops / buses and facilities
The price was very expensive

Staff all pleasant enough. Front desk Staff in particular were lovely. Good location, clean hotel.
Bed quite hard and uncomfortable, very small room. "Castle view" room, well, if you stand at the edge of the window and crane your neck. Very expensive considering room size and comfort, presumably prices bumped to reflect a particularly busy weekend for Edinburgh...

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The beds were very comfortable and the location was superb with easy access from the train station and buses and trams at the door, yet the rooms were quiet.
The tea / coffee facility could get a bit congested at breakfast.

They’re in the process of updating all the rooms. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened my hotel room that it wasn’t was nothing like the pictures online. It was better. The bathroom was updated with a lovely shower and heated mirror. The room was comfortable and well appointed.
My room faced a ba k ally with large air/heating vents. Not the nicest view.

We stayed on the 7th floor in an upgraded room, it was spot on, i emailed the Hotel to tell them it was my wife's 50th birthday, there was petals on the bed, fresh flowers in a vase and a bottle of prosecco, this was a fantastic way to be greeted and set the tone for a fantastic weekend.

Staff let me check in very early which I really appreciated. The front of house staff were very helpful with my bags etc. The location is great and view out the window was amazing
Rooms are a little run down and need updating

Estuvimos 4 noches y no podíamos comunicarnos. Ni con celular ni con las laptops

Central location
It was super noisy and the glazing ineffective from keeping the noise out.

Het uitzicht was prachtig! Mooie en nette kamer, schone badkamer. Fijn personeel, grote bar en restaurant met genoeg mogelijkheden voor eten en lunch
Alles was goed.

Hotel was fine
Finding somewhere to park a car was a problem. I enquired about it when I booked,, typing my question into “any comments/requests” Heard nothing. It only became evident that we could not stop outside the hotel *even briefly to unload baggage) when we attempted to get near by car. As I was travelling with elderly family members this was a bit of a pain. Advance warning with confirmation / a number to call anything would have made the arrival a much better experience.

The bathroom was bleak and not as per advertised

The staff were very friendly. I was upgraded from a single room to a double room on arrival, which was unexpected and very kind. The room was quiet and the bed was comfortable.
The room was a little dated, but I understand that the hotel is being refurbished.

Near the station.
A sensible bath with safety matting and grab rail to help you out.
That you plan to renovate the hotel as it badly needs it.
An on site restaurante
I had a mobility scooter and the angle for such is 9 degree ramp. Your ramp is far too steep. also the ramp for the initial step is totally unsuitable. Your reception does not seem to have a view of the door and I was left struggling. Other guests had to help me in. There should be some way of getting help when one arrives. No other hotel has a reception on the upper floor.
I asked for a quiet room and I was given a room right over Princes Street where the traffic goes by continually and could be heard even with the double glazing.
The restaurant menu is limited and it is the same for lunch as in the evening meaning there was only one item that I could choose as everything was spicy otherwise and I am not able to eat spicy food. I could buy fish and chips at the shop cheaper than your prices. John Lewis is a much better option but with a mobility scooter and the terrible paving slabs unevenness I had no option but to stay on site.

The view from our room was magnificent, overlooking the old part of Edinburgh. Room was very spacious and comfortable. Best part was seeing Edinburgh castle through the window while laying in bed.
The bathroom was quite dated and the shower pressure was poor. A bit difficult to relax under a nice hot shower after exploring all day.

We stayed 2 nights, we could not connect to the wifi.
The room was quite old, Bathroom was very dirty.

The location of Hotel for my needs at 83 was perfect, also in my town we have a Mercure Hotel where the reputation is good. Breakfast experience for my needs was excellent. The view from my Room was excellent.
The Shower over the Bath,no hand rail to help me to climb over the side of the Bath & slipped on the Bath Mat when I climbed over to get back onto the Floor. The Hand Basin wasn`t clean on arrival, the top of the Hot Tap was very loose too. The Bed was high, once I managed to climb up it was comfy. For a short person it was a problem! My 2nd night the 2 females in the Room next door were rather loud so didn`t get much sleep.

Staff were not very helpful and were a bit difficult to understand due to accents ( not British ).

I was asked if i wished to upgrade my room to a superior. I said yes but had to wait an additional 45min to get in. When i did i was shocked by the state of the room. The carpet was all marks and had what looked like a big burn mark at the door. the toilet door was de-laminating and looked terrible. the TV socket kept falling out and i continually had to put back in. The skirting boards were filthy and needed painting. I was shocked this was a Superior room and i was charged a further £35 which i would like returned. When i told staff all i got was "we are going through a refurb" shocking. I never complain about things ever but the room was terrible and the rain fall shower did not work. I would like to view this as a complaint and reimburse my £35 please.
The room SHOCKING and the staff just saying sorry nothing we can do, it was not good
