Staff was nice when checking in
Next room smoking cannabis and they weren't told to leave. Also the amount of banging from the rooms adjacent from 3pm Until 1am was ridiculous. I ended up leaving my hotel room without checking out at this time to then get hassled by the people that where staying in the rooms and they ended up following me as I left because I banged and complained of the noise

I don't often take time to write a review these days but I was really pleased with this gem! Clean, comfortable bed;. A peaceful nights sleep; a fan restaurant on site. Low cost. Free parking and Breakfast included. Good value deal. 15% off in their very authentic asian fusion restaurant, where I enjoyed a delicious and very impressive biryani ! Wonderful! Highly recommend!
It's a good location too, 5 min drive into Derby city centre, easy reach of Pride park, on a bus route .and close to motorway links., I felt it was great value for the money spent.
Breakfast was included but was not their best feature, I was offered a "full English" cooked breakfast but told it's not their "specialty" so I just had toast and a drink, which was fine for me and I had some tinned tomatoes with it . Certainly didn't put me off returning as everything else was very good. Especially for the price,

The staff are amazing the restaurant staff especially majid was amazing always there to help
With anything and mangment can’t do enough to make sure all visitors are made to feel like family and even cooked poached eggs for us
Hard beds

Very well presented property looks great outside and in
I wasn’t anything to dislike about the property

Cheap and cheerful. Needed a place to crash for an event in Derby. Parking on site was free. There was an event on the night we stayed over. Our room was right above the event and the music was loud. The staff were really helpful to move us to a quieter room on the other side of the hotel.

The drive down to the car park is very steep with quite tight spaces but OK. The walk back up to reception would be quite difficult for older people or with lots of luggage but fine for a one night stop. The receptionist was very potite and helpful but there is no lift to the upper floors., The stairs are quite steep and narrow. We were on teh second floor.
The room was small but contained everything needed for a good nights sleep. The decor could do with a refresh. The shower gave plentiful hot water at a good flow rate. The bed was a small double but comfortable enough. Nice clean fluffy towels.
The breakfast was well presented, buffet style with all the ingredients of for a full English and cereals, yoghurt and fruit available. Vey nice coffee
The evening meal the night before was the highlight of our stay. The tastiest Indian food I've had for a long time. Very attentive staff and good value, particul;arly applying the resident discount.
I will definately stay here again when in the area.
The car park approach.

Nothing to like
The rooms is low rated and they gave me a room that was less what I paid for then I got moved to a so they say upgraded but the bathroom had no radiator and the road noice terrible, could not sleep
They make the outside nice to attract people but don’t be fooled
Never stay here again not even for free

Front of Building, Restaurant, and reception area was nice. To be fair, for the price, it was OK for a night.
The room was poor, not to good standard, single bed was flimsy and bouncy, mirrors were poorly positioned, and room walls were paper thin, and I could hear everything from other rooms

The room was spacious and comfortable bed
I checked into this hotel very late at night by myself after a very unnervy night(I am a 27 year old woman)
Got to reception and they first told me they had no key cards left due to it being full and they'd have to let me in and out of my room. Which of course made me feel a bit uneasy. The other guy came past who I'm assuming was the manager and said he'd sort it out. Was put onto the top floor. When I got in there I realised the lock from the inside didn't work to double lock my room but thought it's fine it's still locked from the outside. HOWEVER at 3:00am I was woken up to a man entering my room. Of course I shouted and I heard a "sorry" and the door shut. I was absolutely terrified not sure if this was a guest given the wrong key or a member of staff who obviously knew I'd checked in alone? I rang reception to tell them and they just responded "sorry it's really busy tonight and there was an error"
I then told another guy the next morning when checked out "yes my stay was OK apart from a guy barging into my room at 3:00am which was rather frightening" the response he gave back was "OK mam have a nice day"
Safe to say I left feeling extremely rubbish and there was no care at all for my well-being. Would never stay there again and would not recommend.

Excellent Dinner and Breakfast and very attentive service
The lift was out of action which was inconvenient as I am disabled and walking up stairs was hard

Breakfast was very poor quality

Free parking
No lift
Rooms a bit tired
3.6
Well decorated and furnished, clean.
Steep slope to side of property to parking. Not good if you are disabled as we are. Difficult to carry bags up the slope. Inside the hotel no lift so again very difficult for disabled people as many stairs.
3.6
Clean and tidy. Nice helpful staff. Good breakfast.
No Internet. TV not working. Room too warm. Despite the fan.
3.6
Hotel is nicely decorated and stylish. The amount we paid was very good value for money with the breakfast included. The room was nice, tidy and clean and the bathroom was a nice size.
The breakfast was lovely and the other reviews make it sound terrible. The only thing that let it down was there was no sausages and when it's an English breakfast, that's one of the main things your meant to have. As I'm doing keto there was only eggs and bacon to eat so sausages would have been very welcome. Other than that we had a lovely stay. We stay in derby quite frequently and we will definitely book this hotel again.

there isn’t anything we didnt like.
3.6
Lovely staff, great breakfast, an actual bath.
The carpark is awkward to get into and out of.
3.6
We were not impressed with breakfast
The quality of the fried breakfast was.not as good as most hotels I have stayed in
3.6
Fine, but cooked breakfast came late. I have already had toast and tea and cooked breakfast came which I was not expecting.
Shower too slow with less pressure.
3.6
The room was much nicer than expected, modern but basic, which I expected. The bathroom wasn’t amazing, but was clean and did the job well. The shower was nice. The staff were really friendly, and even offered me parking at the front of the building when I couldn’t find parking at the rear.
It wasn’t clear there were two levels to the parking they offered, and it was very tight!
The rooms and foyer were very warm, although I opened a window when I arrived and by the time I left and came back the room had cooled down sufficiently, just worth noting.
3.6
Reception was pretty good to be honest as were the staff. Restaurant looked good , I then headed to my room , see below
Rattly door handle that looked and felt like it could just push through, room was clean but very dated. No remote for the TV and the TV sound kept going off after about 40 mins. Bit of plumbing in the bathroom kept me busy , toilet cistern continuously running so had to lift the lid and reset the flush each time.
Amad restaurant did look good however but didn't fancy full on fusion evening meal, would suggest you give it a go should you stay as Not much else in the area for food that looked like I wouldn't contract some form of salmonella .
Packet sandwich for me from Aldi 10 mins walk back towards town , to note wouldn't recommend that walk late at night in the dark either .
Yes I only paid £51 but much better in Derby for similar price , but that did include breakfast, which was okay buffet style with a hot food option brought to table.
3.6
The breakfast was really good. The shower had hot water. Very clean.

the lady at the desk that checked us in was really nice
the room I booked looked nothing like the one I stayed in , the walls was so thin I could hear everything next door was doing , I went to use the toilet and was greeted by a black bug so I removed it out ,after I had another bug jumping around the room and a few flys , I was going to complain but my partner insisted that we stayed as it was the last day of our road trip but regret as we both noticed the next day that we left we had bites on us , contacted booking.com who said the hotel have a pest contract in place this is the first hotel I’ve ever had to complain about and I tried to go another route because I didn’t want to leave a bad review to a business
3.6
good location. friendly staff
Rooms and exterior showing their age. Breakfast was disappointing (not sure what the ‘bacon’ was and pastries were stale).
3.6
The breakfast was adequate although the bacon was not real bacon, free parking behind the hotel was helpful, close to the city centre, staff was friendly, the Indian restaurant was lovely
There was 1 plug socket in the bedroom, the kettle was very old, the walls are quite thin and you can here other guests
3.6
No mirror in the bathroom
